When we last left our summer series housemates:
- Dismal failure in the shopping task
- Natalie v Hardeep continued
- The chalkboard and shopping list made a welcome return, and basic rations are meaning basic rations at least for now anyway
Today's episode sees the first nominations of the series and President Kirstie will make someone immune....
Rise and shine, and lights on for a brand new day and off we go....
10.01am
We start in the garden with Kirstie telling Ryan about his sleep talking from the night before. Ryan is bemused by this, as he finds it difficult to believe. The evidence is there for all to see in the last episode, Ryan. What is this guy going to actually do when he's no longer part of this President twist, as he hasn't really done much outside of it?
Chloe thinks Natalie is one of the loudest people in there....No s**t Sherlock, as it has practically turned into the Natalie show at the moment. If she is on the block after this episode, and she goes then others can step forward without being overshadowed by her. Natalie claims Ben is the loudest in there, and then says she is not opinionated and is just asking questions.
12.08pm
Gabby is putting the boys through their paces...as in exercises in the garden. Meanwhile, Rodrigo is talking to Kirstie about Scientology, but she is very evasive about talking about it and recommends reading the book about it and going online.
Hardeep talks to Natalie about Playboy, and she says she would do it now as it's not that risque anymore. Page 3 also crops up, which has effectively become defunct now. Kirstie and Rodrigo now join in the exercises in the garden as she don't really want to discuss the Scientology subject. Chloe tells Hardeep she is a young single mum, and doesn't have contact with the baby's dad. Hardeep inexplicably bursts into tears, saying he is crying for all dads. Strange thing to cry about, but the moment Chloe comforts him those tears seem to dry up very quickly.
1.11pm
Fruitcake Sally is strutting her stuff in the kitchen. Meanwhile in the bathroom, Gabby starts crying as Natalie has told Gabby that she (Gabby) is fading into the background. Hands off her, Dan, consider your wife's feelings.
Sofa gatherage as President Kirstie announces she will be issuing a presidential pardon, aka an immunity, for one housemate for the upcoming nominations. We see various clips of the housemates being interviewed by Kirstie. Once they have concluded, she gives the pardon to JERMAINE, so Jermaine cannot be nominated, but he can nominate. Bit of a strange decision to give him immunity as he wouldn't have been in trouble anyway, and he has done barely anything. Well, he probably has but we haven't seen it, as we don't have the luxury of a certain something to watch 24/7 to make up our own minds.
3.19pm
Chloe asks Kirstie what her storm is, to which Kirstie replies her weight gain and how she came to being that overweight. She explains that her accountant made a few mistakes and she ended up owning over a million dollars to the IRS. So she decided to make a program called Fat Actress, and sold it within a week.
6.48pm
More sofa gatherage as the housemates are locked in the lounge together ready for the first nominations of this series, and they will be called in alphabetical. Absolutely delighted with this, first time in 12 years this has happened, and it's much better than having them lounging all over the house waiting to be called in a random order. Those funny looks as people come from and go to the diary room with those "I nominated you" eyes which ramps up the tension and paranoia.
Ben is summoned in first, and off we go...
Housemates have to give full and frank reasons for why they are nominating who they are, and they cannot nominate themselves.
Ben: Natalie. Reason: I didn't like to see Gabby upset. That affected me. I think Gabby's lovely and I didn't like to see them little blue eyes redden up. I didn't like what she said to Gabby, and how she made her feel.
Ryan. Reason: Every time I'm around him, he makes me feel on edge. Obviously I know he's had a task to do, I know he's been isolated from the group which isn't great for him. I've tried to make an effort to get involved with him, but there have been certain moments where I've felt a lack of warmth in his presence.
Chloe: Nick. Reason: He doesn't make much of an effort to interact with anyone, and even if you try and talk to him, he's very vague and it's only small talk so it's very boring. I think if he made more of an effort to socialise instead of being quiet .then I wouldn't have picked him.
Hardeep. Reason: We had a conversation earlier where he was quite judgemental of my previous career. I feel like people shouldn't jump to conclusions before they know everything. I know he doesn't really understand it because he's not in the industry, but I felt like he was putting me down on what he did.
Dan: Natalie. Reason: She was very rude to Hardeep about his cooking. Then she was rude to Gabby as well and made her cry, and I don't want to see people that I like crying, and it's causing a bad atmosphere.
Roxanne. Reason: I don't feel like we're seeing the real her yet. Her facial expressions, the way she acts. She could be acting up a bit. I just want everyone to be the real them, and I don't think she is yet.
Gabby: Natalie. Reason: When Nat said I was 'fading into the background', initially I thought 'I do need to switch it up a notch'. But that's not who I am or who I want to be or what I want to do, so it made me feel intimidated, if I'm honest, because for the rest of the day, I've been avoiding being in a situation where she can put me on the spot again.
Rodrigo. Reason: I don't feel like Rod is being his complete self the whole time. There are certain times where he is really lovely and then, just out of nowhere, he'll give an almost aggressive point of view on something. He's made me feel uncomfortable a couple of times. There's a way of doing things, and the way he does them, I don't believe is the correct way.
Hardeep: Natalie. Reason: She kicked up something of a fuss over who gets to cook and who doesn't. She was offered the chance to cook today and declined the opportunity. She upset Gabby earlier on today and has been rude about my snoring and unhelpful about that. I feel personally she's a negative influence in the house.
Sally. Reason: This is after great soul-searching and is by no means straightforward. I like her personally and I have a connection with her. But something changed this evening in the run-up to these nominations where I felt a certain hostility from her, a certain sharpness from her, and she seemed very sure that I was going to nominate her. That wasn't the case, but it is now. So maybe art imitates life, and life imitates art.
At this point, talk in the lounge turns to Natalie asking about the various storms amongst the housemates. She then starts shouting at everyone when some of them don't want to, in her own classy way of course with a lot of f's and other swear words thrown in. She does realise it is nominations time, and she probably picking up a few more nominations as she goes off on another one of her tirades?
Jermaine: Natalie. Reason: She's made one of the housemates cry. Gabby is a lovely girl and doesn't deserve that at all.
Hardeep. Reason: He's getting on certain people's nerves. There's animosity between him and Sally, him and Natalie. The longer that goes on, the more it's going to flare up, certain housemates feel they can't get themselves in the kitchen, because he's controlling over that, and also at nighttime, the snoring is pretty bad.
Kirstie: Natalie. Reason: I feel like she is explosive in a way that exacerbates a situation to create unrest. It makes people very uncomfortable. I don't like the manner of control she uses to dominate.
Rodrigo. Reason: This is tougher. The only explanation I have is that it was my observation that he didn't help as much as other people did in the work of what it takes to run a house, and it takes to clean, and not just cleaning your own mess up, but cleaning other people's messes up. He's more concerned about what he's wearing, and how he looks and things like that, and that's great, that's his thing, but it doesn't replace taking responsibility for an entire space. It's that simple.
Natalie: Hardeep. Reason: I don't like the things that come out of his mouth. Or his cooking, or the way he snores, or how he looks at me. We have literally been bumping heads since we got here. He has to go.
Kirstie. Reason: She doesn't want to answer any questions. She walks away when I ask her a simple question. I have no idea what Kirstie is even doing here, to be honest with you. She doesn't want to talk, she doesn't want to mingle, she just wants to sleep in the White House, she doesn't even try to come over and say anything to anybody, and honestly that's just fake. I don't like fake.
9.47pm
Nick: Kirstie. Reason: My wife won't like me for that. She's a little bit isolated from the group. I don't really see her making any effort to engage with the remainder of the group. It's a team, and I find teams important, and everybody needs to engage with each other. We're not getting that level of engagement from Kirstie, I believe.
Chloe. Reason: She's very polite, very nice, I can have a laugh and a joke with her, but she doesn't really add anything in terms of output to the house.
Rodrigo: Gabby. Reason: She excluded me from working out this morning with her. She just doesn't like me, and she made that obvious today.
Hardeep. Reason: Hardeep is very loud. It is very hard to sleep sometimes. He snores so loudly. He snores and farts so loud, it's inappropriate.
Roxanne: Hardeep. Reason: I've seen a side to him with other people that's created a really tense and uncomfortable atmosphere, and that's affected me. He's also made a couple of comments that I didn't appreciate about my absent dad, and I just felt he crossed the line there.
Natalie. Reason: She's a strong, sassy, vocal, passionate woman. I respect that in every single way. But there was a massive argument that erupted, which was overwhelming. It's affecting the people around me and their temperament, and their moods are changing, which is having a knock-on effect to me.
Ryan: Chloe. Reason: I feel like Chloe may be a bit of a closed book. Quite a private person, not very good at warming to people straight away. For that reason, it's stopped us getting to know each other.
Natalie. Reason: She is probably the only person in the house that I get a not-so-nice vibe from. She is making me aware that it's a game, and she mentioned to Gabby: "why don't you go and speak to Kirstie, and ask her about her storm, because you are getting a little bit left behind in this group". She is playing a game, and my personal view is that that is wrong.
Sally: Hardeep. Reason: I find his behaviour inappropriate. He uses his academia and his intelligence as a manipulative weapon.
Rodrigo. Reason: He hasn't been pulling his weight enough with the household duties. He's living with a group of us, and he needs to take his turn in that, and he hasn't shown himself in my eyes in doing that.
Facing the public vote this week will be NATALIE (8 votes) and Hardeep (6 votes). Good old fashioned head to head, some will say the two biggest characters in the house so far and we have to lose one of them. So, it's all in the hands of the edit now, and it's vote to stay. So who stays the editing will decide.
And also people who did watch this episode, no pointless background music and the tacky tally board which usually appears
12.48pm
Natalie tells Roxanne she is not there to rock the house, and that she's not the storm but they are all the storm. She goes on to say there's a lot of lies going on, and a lot of promiscuous people in there. Of course she moves on to her favourite subject in Hardeep, and talks about his past problems in being booted from the BBC
And now on to a BB favourite in Spin the Bottle, think everyone knows how that works after all these years, and doesn't usually end well.
That's about it for tonight's episode, and it's to be continued in Episode 7
Final thoughts
Another few tips of the hat to the golden days of Big Brother, which pleases me. So good to see all these little changes back, even though it's probably going to be too little too late. Really missed the days when they were gathered on the sofa for nominations, but I welcome those days back now. It has really been a dream for us hardcore fans these last few days with these little nods, and please keep them going. Thank you so much Big Brother, for listening to us again and giving us reasons to love Big Brother again. One more thing, you don't need mean tweets, replaying Diary Room conversations to the house, or some outside influence to get them arguing. Just lock them in the lounge, and someone is bound to go off. Nice and simple.
As for Natalie v Hardeep, for me personally Natalie can do one this week. I know some people will say 'but she brings the entertainment', but if she goes they can breathe a bit without her overbearing presence there dripping poison in their ears.
Shout out to the live feed as well, went all the way up to 3rd in the UK trends last night on Twitter, and the controller of the channel thinks it is not needed or nobody cares about it. Who the heck is he kidding. Tell me Mr. Frow, what will you have left on 'your' channel should you pull the plug on your biggest ratings grabber....Let's see:
Bailiffs/Benefits/Traffic Cops/50 TV moments on stock rotation
Gino Sheffield's Win your Wishlist
The Farm remake
Take off your rose tinted glasses, pal, and have a look at the bigger picture. There's only one show keeping your channel afloat, and you would be mad to get rid of it.
You have done one correct thing since you overseen Big Brother on your channel, and that is banning a certain person from everything Big Brother related. Don't be a fool and sink your channel by binning your biggest asset.
And on that note, thank you everyone for reading this post. It's very much appreciated along with the RT's, likes and shares. Look out for the next USA post which will come shortly if you are following that as well.
If you missed Big Brother Radio's last show, catch up right here and also check BB on Blast's new podcast if you haven't already, which is right here which includes two short interviews with former housemates Stacy Francis and Chelsea Singh.

Unfortunately UK information is in very short supply, as there are no live updates this and very little Live Feed, but click on the links anyway should you need to keep updated and most of the links to the right are updated regularly, so keep your eye on them.
