Big Brother Canada 2021 - Episode 26 - Eviction (Beth v Tera)

Foregone conclusion many would say, as we head towards finale week.....

In case you missed it:

Tera returned in the battle back
Breydon won HoH, nominating Beth and Tera
Breydon won Veto, but didn't use it
Beth and Tera stay on the chopping block, and one will go to jury after this episode

Bit of an easy HoH week for Breydon with no big decisions to be made, the guy didn't even have to break much sweat.

Tonight

Arisa as always looking uber chic, as she welcomes us in

The moment most have been waiting for, barring a major flip, is upon us. Will feel a little hollow, as Beth should have gone twice over already.

We pick things up after the veto ceremony, and looking back Beth is making some valid points about her and Tera being on the block, when Kiefer should have been there.

Have a feeling this is going to be a Beth heavy episode before she goes later in the episode. Right on cue her and Ty are going at each other's throats. Think the warning from the voiceover about earmuffs was a timely one, as she was raising her voice quite a lot in the preview.

Anyway, let's just say she didn't do her cause any good with that slanging match with Ty. She's all but out and a load of people on social media and chatrooms are ready to partay.

And now she's kicking off with Kiefer, credit to her she is trying hard to stay in but it's probably futile now anyway

Beth and Kiefer get an overnight mission to count the number of Raccoons in the backyard, and then the other three get a counter mission to distract the other two. If the two fail and get the number outside of a range of five, then the other three will get the barbecue. Number right, then it's everyone.

And of course it's a pass, so everybody gets the barbecue

Jury house

Cue the shock and screams of Jed walking into the jury house, and telling them about his clownshoes moment of saving Beth with the Veto he won. Vic's already thinking 'what an idiot' judging by the look on her face, however they don't get told about Kiefer's conniving, so will be very interesting to see what will happen when that is shown, if it's shown that is.

Oh and Kiefer won this week's Skip the Dishes vote, apparently by a big margin according to the feed updaters.

Moving swiftly on.... and probably Beth's last argument in the house and it's again with Ty.

Eviction vote

After the keep me in pleas, we are finally underway for the vote

Ty votes to evict Beth
Kiefer votes to evict Beth

Bit of a formality really....

Beth evicted 2-0, and she's still shouting as she talks to Arisa. Hollow victory though, as she should have gone a lot sooner.

HoH comp

As outgoing HoH, Breydon is ineligible to compete

Pretty pointless HoH, as the Veto has the most power in final 4

Basically, the players will see cards of this season's housemates and they have to buzz in and say who was evicted the week those houseguests played in Veto

Ty got the first question right.... and that's it until episode 27 when the next HoH is crowned and we get to see a watered down version of the BBCAN awards....Finale week is looming, it's been a mixed bag this season, only in my opinion of course. But we are very nearly there.

Big Brother Canada 2021 - Episode 25 - Final 5 Nominations and Power of Veto

The finish line is starting to move into sight, as we reach the halfway point of the final 5 week in terms of the episodes

In a shock result, which just about sums things up in terms of this season overall, Tera beat Jed in the battle back and took her place in the final 5, and also Breydon won his first HoH of the season

It's widely expected with things the way they are, that Beth will be on the block and finally out. If it is her that goes, will feel hollow as she should have gone weeks ago but luck was really on her side.

Tonight

Recap of the battle back and HoH comp, then Beth in her own little world as usual. Don't think it takes a genius to work out at least one of the people going on the block. Question is, who will join Beth?

Kiefer is chosen for the Wendy's date with Breydon.... Brey gets a video message from his family.

Meanwhile, Tera is claiming her battle back win was 'the win of the century', in her dreams perhaps

Feels pretty rushed tonight with the nominations AND Veto comp to squish in, whether we will get the Veto decision tonight is anyone's guess

Nominations

Breydon has nominated Beth and Tera. No great surprise there

Tera gone into 'how dare you nominate me' mode....Chill and just be thankful you are still there. Two had to go up, and you are possibly going nowhere given who you are up against. I mean it took you over 2 months before you got out of the corner with Tina and actually did something

Back on planet Beth, she probably knows her goose is collectively cooked so is really going for Ty's throat, screaming at the top of her lungs so everyone overhears. Talk about talking yourself out of the house.

Veto comp

From this point, the HoH DOES play in these comps with there being so few left in the house

Just going to call this one Pinball Wizard, and here's how it works

Simply drop ball at the top of the table, run down to the bottom and catch it and rinse and repeat. Additional balls will be added at various intervals.

Dropped balls or more than one ball in hand means elimination from the comp

Would you believe it, Breydon has only gone and won the Veto as well. Floaters have done very well in the back end of this season haven't they, with Tera winning two comps and a battleback while Breydon has now won three comps in a row.

Safe to say, Beth is definitely gone this week.

If only Breydon and Tera had shown this fire earlier in the season, then they may have been considered serious contenders. But as it stands it's Kiefer or Ty's to lose now....

Futile pitching from Beth to Breydon to see if he will use the Veto, but still at least she's trying. But this week is done and dusted I would think.

Veto ceremony

Breydon does NOT to use the Veto, so no real hard decisions made this week

To be continued in Episode 26, when five become four and the jury house welcomes another member

Big Brother Australia 2021 - Episode 3

Now everyone's in, the party can really begin. Well briefly as it's the last episode of the week

Long recap, before we continue with the newbies making their entrance to lots of screaming, remember 2 down and 18 more for our viewing pleasure.

Daniel says he is on edge, and the big man teases him about potentially about no longer being the king of the castle. I sure wish someone is going to knock Daniel down a peg or two, no good at predictions but I reckon he could be there till near the end, so drink it in and grin and bear it.

Tilly's a bit out there from first impressions, someone I could get behind. She doesn't even know what reception the big man in referring to, thinking it means phone reception. And head scratching at some of those possible targets should she win. I think the words will be 'no chance in hell' of winning, but she has the potential to be a classic housemate given the way this first Diary Room conversation went. Well, I like her anyway.

Jess is a an Women's AFL player as we see via her VT, she is dedicating being on this show to her nan.

On to the next day, and the big man has been in during the night and filled the place from top to bottom with balloons. The big man summons everyone to the Diary Room, all 18 of them. He reveals to them that 18 balloons have a golden cinema ticket, and whoever finds them gets a luxury cinema visit....or do they given how the list of demands business went.

One hour time limit, or a few minutes condensed down with this edit obviously....

Let's just say everyone found a ticket, now let's see if there is a prank incoming from the big man

Back to house business, Katie is relieved to have avoided an eviction bullet, and says there are a few she cannot trust, and there are more opportunities with the new arrivals to make new friends and possibly allies.

Jessica is summoned to the Diary Room, where she receives some very sad news about her nan. In short, her nan has developed a tumour and hasn't got long left to live. Jess's family encourage her to stay in the house. Thoughts and prayers to Jess and her family. Jess is allowed to talk to her nan. Usually against outside contact, but it's these kind of circumstances where OC should be allowed.

Thought so, the cinema night turns out to be an embarrassing slideshow of the housemates when they were very young. Thankfully they have managed to laugh it off and not take it too seriously.

Renata causing a lot of friction, with the way she is apparently 'controlling the house'. Katie is already plotting should she win the nominations challenge. And there was me thinking SJ would control the house, much like a certain matriarch did in the UK version's 8th series.

And right on cue, Big Brother announces the nominations challenge will begin in 10 minutes....

Nominations challenge

Quite simply, the housemates have to hold up a weight that is equivalent of 30 percent of their body weight, and stop it from dropping onto glass below. The big man, as usual, doesn't make it easy saying the housemates have to move down a rung of their rope when he announces them to.

It all eventually comes down to Jess and Melissa, and JESS then emerges victorious.

She is summoned to the Diary Room to make her nominations

Nominations

Jess has nominated Renata, Sid and Melissa

Daggers between Daniel and Katie there, I sense a rivalry to the end if they both get that far

Daniel is not taking this too well, feeling it's unfair on Renata and Melissa. Same can be said for Renata referring to some of them as sheep, and she joins that elite 'how dare they nominate me' club.

Melissa giving them both a lesson there in humility, with her laid back attitude to being on the chopping block.

Eviction

And heeeeeere's Sonya, in all her glamourous glory. She wastes no time in stirring the pot between the originals, and then Jess about her nominations. Sonya smelling blood here after Daniel pipes up about the nominations, and jumps right back in stirring the pot so things get even more awkward. Off we again, Renata now kicking off. She is seething about being on the block, I dread to think what she will be like if she is evicted in a little while....

Passionate speech from Melissa before Sonya moves to Tilly....Oh boy, this girl is going to be gold I can feel it.

As the holder of today's power, Jess is the only one ineligible to vote

With 14 votes to evict, Renata is the next to say bye bye

But it's safe to say she doesn't take it too well, with the way she storms out and calls them 'idiots'.....

Surprise Week looming in Week 2, along with another secret room called The Attic

To be continued in Episode 4....

Big Brother Australia 2021 - Episode 2 - Eight new housemates

Just to retain my sanity, going to keep this brief today
In case you missed it:

The number going in was kept to 12, with eight more going in in this episode

The big man lived up to his early promises of things not being easy, as he mercilessly sent the list of demands down the throat of a certain Mr Chippy.

Daniel chose Nick to join him in the secret bunker, which now is no longer secret as Sonia revealed the room to everyone during the eviction ceremony

Speaking of the eviction, the previous day RENATA won the first nominations challenge and put Melissa, Max and Christine on the chopping block. The big man struck again through Sonia, when it was revealed that Daniel and Nick had the sole vote or votes. If both chose not to vote then there would be no eviction.

Let's just say Nick chickened out of voting, so it was all down to Daniel and he did choose to vote, and the unlucky first one out was MAX

And so we move to tonight with the eight new housemates, and there may be a familiar face amongst these eight new not rights, if you are familiar with a show called Married At First Sight.

The eight not rights are:

Ari, 22, New South Wales
Charlotte, 24, Queensland
Christopher, 37, Queensland
Jess, 29, Victoria
Marley, 26, Victoria
Mary, 56, Victoria
Michael, 26, Western Australia
Tilly, 21, New South Wales

And there's your full class for 2021, if they don't add any more later

Now, as far as that familiar face goes, that will be Mary. She's the mum of Martha who was in a series of Married at First Sight Australia. One programme I personally go out of my way to avoid whichever country's version it is.

So, anyway, the eight are herded into the house and taken to an elaborate set up of an airplane where they will spend 24 hours before disembarking into the house properly. All brought to you, courtesy of BBAir.

Obviously, as this is Big Brother Australia, the big man will not make it easy as there will be a lot of turbulence and discomfort throughout the episode. Nice to see Mary's got her priorities right in preserving her wine throughout the 24 hours rather than everyone's safety. Meant in a good way of course before anyone comes at me.

And then there's the small matter of the next nominations challenge, to which Daniel and Nick can and will participate. Basically, the housemates have to traverse Big Brother's hanging balls in their respective lanes, which get smaller the closer the housemates get to the end. Think that's about the jist of it..

Can I just say that Daniel is being a total douchebag, so nothing new there. Why is it the Daniel's that turn up on this latest version of the show are total douchebags.... One of life's mysteries I guess.

Back to the comp, and MELISSA emerges victorious, usual rule in that she is not allowed to discuss who she would like to put up with. After much pondering, she decides to put SJ, Lil and Katie on the chopping block.

No campaigning from Lil when those three's names are read out, which is odd. Is she so anxious to go already? Weird if that's the case.

So onto the eviction room, where Sonia awaits them with the usual questioning before everyone except the three nominees are voting to evict as of today. We only get to see a few people voting, but when it's all said and done for today it's:

Lil - 7, Katie - 2 and SJ - 1

So it's bye bye to Lil, a bit of a waste as she couldn't be bothered to campaign or probably thought she was already safe.

And right on cue, here come the eight newbies as the episode ends. So it's 2 down and 18 to go, I would assume there are going to be a few doubles down the line to get the occupants down to 3 for the live finale, but there's plenty of time to think about that later.

What will the new housemates bring to the table, and who will be the next to win a nominations challenges

Tune in tomorrow for Episode 3

Big Brother Canada 2021 - Episode 24 - Battle back (Jed v Tera), and HoH

Finally, here we go for the battle back of the ages....Not really, but I wouldn't bet against Tera going back in tonight.

Although it does feel like a waste of time, as whoever goes back in as neither is going to win the grand prize

What happened to this season, I mean it started off so well and then as soon as Victoria went to jury so did the energy and the intelligence level and general IQ of the remaining houseguests

Just stupid decision after stupid decision....

How Beth is still there is anyone's guess, as Jed stupidly used his Veto win on her, then in the fake double they decided to save her over Tera.

Just so messy and chaotic, and to think tonight......No, I dread to think about tonight as we get closer to the end. A straight shootout between a showmancer, well in his mind anyway as Beth doesn't give a dam about him, and someone who up until she won two comps had floated all the way to this point.

Tonight

Recap of what we've seen already to start this episode, and Beth is taking credit for everything. What else is new there?

As it turns out, Kiefer would have got rid of Beth if he was HoH but felt he had to respect Ty's choice to target Tera, and then Breydon uses the same reason for the Veto.

In the battle back room, Tera proceeds to throw everyone under the bus just in case she doesn't go back in...

Battle back

Heads will Roll is the name of this special comp....Basically they have to keep as many balls on the ledge that they roll uphill. That's it, that's the challenge.

And there's the shock result, Tera's going back in...The floater over the showmancer, let that sink in. But seriously, either option is not very appealing

Jedson only has himself to blame for this, 'nuff said

Beth now ranting that everyone is fake, pot kettle black springs to mind. Think the phrase throwing their toys out of the pram springs to mind. The Franzel tears out in force.

Sadly, it does seem with Beth featuring so prominently that this episode is going to end with a frown from the viewers, with her winning HoH. Just a general impression.

HoH comp

As outgoing HoH, Ty is ineligible to compete

All in to Win, involving a trivia wheel. Much like of Wheel of Fortune, well somewhat. Bet some chips on a house topic they think they know. That's the jist of it anyway. Whoever is the last person with all their chips is the new HoH

And would you believe it, BREY is the new HoH after a tiebreaker with Beth

To be continued in Episode 25, when Breydon makes his nominations and we possibly get a Veto comp as well

Big Brother Australia 2021 - Episode 1 - Launch

It's time for another Rumble down under, with a all new mint fresh series of Big Brother Australia and at least 20 housemates, yes TWENTY, for your viewing pleasure
Simple premise really....

1. Pre-recorded from a few months ago
2. No live feed
3. Nominations challenge, and eviction every day
4. Who wins AUSTRALIA decides.

And how wonderful it is to hear the audience back, but then again Australia and New Zealand have kind of handled this COVID pandemic better than other leaders around the world who we won't mention.

Anyway let's get this show on the road, and hopefully have a good series which we will be talking about for the right reasons come the end.

And may I say, the sound of that audience. It is so great to hear that sound of cheering, rather than the irritating whoop whoop we used to get in the UK version near the end of the dark era run, aka Five.

First three in:

Melissa, 33, South Australia
Daniel, 48, Victoria
Nick, 29, Adelaide

Definitely a chic house, love those sofas....Kind of a sofa person myself, and boy could my place do with some new sofas.

First bit of action with Melissa being called to the Diary Room. Same voice as last year I might add. So no Leon again this year. Just a general conversation and welcome for Melissa from the big man, love how he is playing along with this '70 year old Daniel' gag.

I also just love how this Australian Big Brother voice works, and when he speaks everybody listens rather than telling the big man to eff off. Good sense of humour as well.

And the big man pipes up again, calling someone in to which Daniel goes. NOW it's secret mission time, and the big man tells him if he can escape the house without being seen he will get immunity from the first nominations. The big man tells him about a box hidden in one of the rooms under a potted plant. This box contains a button which when pressed leads to the big man's boiler room. He can take one person with him whether they are in the house already or just arriving. He can hide in there and work out who he wants to take with him. Phew, think's that about it.

The next 3 in:

Lil, 26, New South Wales
Carlos, 39, Western Australia
Katie, 27, New South Wales

Speaking of Carlos, he liked one of my summaries for Big Brother Canada, so gets a thumbs up from me already. You're a good man, Carlos.

Next 3:

Renata, 45, Adelaide
Christina, 22, Victoria
Max, 29, Queensland

Sonia trying to encourage a showmance for Christina from the off. Please, no to showmances Sonia.

Holy awkwardness, Katie and Max are a former couple....

Next 3:

Sarah, 66, New South Wales
Mitchell, 26, Queensland
Sid, 34, Western Australia

Only 12 in tonight, so they will drip feed the other 8 in over the course of the series

Let the games begin.....

And as far as the twist goes, Daniel has settled on Nick for his accomplice. In short, Daniel and Nick are now immune from nominations.

The big man announces lights off in two minutes....Daniel is seen sneaking off, and has to go and wake up Nick to sneak off to the bunker. Oh bleep, someone else is stirring, this could get sticky.

Thankfully they are not caught, and make their way down a long passage to the big man's boiler room, and he announces they are both safe from today's eviction.

Nick's VT shows he is a dog lover, and that's a tick in the right column for me. Used to have a staffie, well staffie boxer cross. She sadly passed away though in August 2018, so nearly 3 years since she's been gone. I do miss her to this day, 14 is a good innings.

On to Day 2, Melissa says she is missing Daniel and Nick. The big man suggests she tries retracing her steps. While in the garden, Sarah is teaching some meditation in the garden, I really hope Sarah is not going to be a Carole type character as in popular at the start, but gradually took over and wouldn't let anyone breathe without her saying so, and was really loathed when she came out at the end

Back to the present, and the big man says the housemates can make a list of demands to make their stay more comfortable

Demands:

Sarah - Pepper, paprika, cumin and various other ingredients
Christine - Green tea
Max - A ball
Carlos - Coffee and/or Coffee Machine
Mitchell - Music
Sid - Book
Melissa - Lamb

Holy bleep, the big man has definitely delivered with the items, however he also introduces Chippy. So I would assume some of the above are going to be fed to Chippy. Exactly what happens, they are definitely not going to have things easy, as the big man reminds them. Carlos watches on as his coffee machine and coffee is fed to Chippy, and then everyone else's items soon follow down Chippy's gullet.

Oh dear, here we go. Christina now being pushed about a potential showmance with either Max or Mitch. Katie next up and she's noticing about Christina and Max.

Nominations challenge

Literally a case of reach for the stars for everyone except Daniel and Nick, who are looking on from the secret room.

The premise is that the housemates have to climb their 7ft poles, and take a leap of faith to grab their respective bags and drop them onto their respective platforms on the old terra firma. It won't be made easy with each jump getting further away from the platform, and then they have to empty the bags and pile up the tokens on their respective platforms. First to do so gets to make 3 nominations.

And we have a winner in.....RENATA

She is not allowed to discuss her nominations with her fellow houseguests

Straight on to the next day, and Renata is summoned to the Diary Room for her nominations

Nominations

Renata nominates Max, Christina and Melissa. Oh hell yeah, we could be rid of the possible showmance before it even gets serious. Melissa is a bit of a strange one as in nominations, but the other two oh bloody hell yes.

Eviction

Red chairs for those on the block, and it's the Canada and USA way of voting someone out as in they decide. Obviously as it's pre-recorded....

Sonia reveals about the secret bunker Nick and Daniel were in, cue gasps all round.

Daniel and Nick have the sole vote, if they choose, to decide who goes home. If they choose not to then nobody goes.

After some deliberation, Nick chooses NOT to vote, but Daniel chooses to vote and he votes to evict MAX. The showmance is nipped in the bud before it even starts, hallejuah!!!!!

Who are these new housemates and what will they bring to this season?

Big Brother Canada 2021 - Episode 23 - Fake Double Eviction

It's finally here as in Fake Double Eviction night.... To say it has been the worst week in terms of strategic play would be a bit of an understatement

Look at it:

Tera HoH, puts up the supposed showmance, Jed wins Veto and in a bizarre move doesn't use it on himself and instead uses it on Beth, and then Tera puts up Breydon of all people and now the plan is to get rid of Jed.

How little they know, and to see their little faces when one from Jed or the other evictee walks back through the door

Seems little point in talking about the highlights, and they can try and convince us there will be a flip all they like but it just feels locked in amongst them that Jed will go

But as always, I will say Arisa looks damn chic as always.....

Anyway, fast forwarding the pointless (at least tonight) highlights that consist of sniggering from one side to Beth saying she will miss Jed, which in itself is a load of bull crap in itself.

Arisa reveals that we will get our first look at the jury house, so we are definitely on for a cliff hanger.

Probably when the second evictee leaves, who knows

Jury House check in

For the record, Victoria's energy is so badly missed in that dead house

Rohan - Not bothered either way

Tina - If only she had played her own game, rather than gossiping in some corner of the house with Tera

Fake Eviction #1

Finally onto the real business

No great shock, Jedson evicted 3-0

BUT, he is directed to the secret room where he is informed by memo that he is still in the game

HoH comp

As outgoing HoH, Tera is ineligible to compete in this one

Say what now is the name of this comp, and it's a kind of remember the day comp....Highest score wins

Won't go into details, apart from TY won the temporary HoH

He nominated Beth and Tera, oh let me guess it's going to be the showmance in the battle back

Veto Comp

Again, won't go into detail but just a lot of untangling involved. First to do so wins Veto

Breydon doesn't use the Veto

Fake Eviction #2

In a surprise result, Tera is evicted 2-0. Cue social media meltdown, just when you think these houseguests can't get any more stupid.....

To be continued in Episode 24, when Tera and Jed go head to head in the battle back for a place back in the house and we find out the final 5 HoH and their nominations

Who knows in this crazy season, who will get this one and go back....Made a lot of bold predictions, so we get a choice of someone who up to last week floated her way through, or the showmance part 2 if Jed goes back in. The agony of choice.

Big Brother Canada 2021 - Episode 22 - Power of Veto

Reign of Tera continues tonight, and I'm fighting fit as promised in shaking off these vaccine side effects

As expected Tera put Beth and Jed on the block. In other news, Beth is still on her own little planet and we count down towards the fake double eviction

In case you missed it, two will leave in the next episode but only one will come back as the two evictees will have a battle back to determine who goes back in and is part of the final 5

But first, there is obviously the Veto to play for, can Jed or Beth save themselves or will the cavalry come over the hill in the nick of time and save one of them....

Stay tuned

Tonight

No more Veto picks now as it will obviously be Breydon, Ty, Jed, Beth and Kiefer playing in the Veto comp.

The delusional Beth, and also 'look at Tera, she is such a mastermind' edit continues.....

Tera now having second thoughts about wanting Beth gone, as she thinks Beth could be good for her game.

Veto comp

Being HoH, Tera does not play in this one

Each houseguest is summoned to the Expedia room for a secret Veto mission, whoever wins this one gets Veto AND a holiday for two

3 parter, and the first part involved video messages from F and F giving them clues on what suit to look for, part 2 was to move around the various barriers to get the cases through, and then the third part was to complete a jigsaw of Canada putting all the place names in the right place.

After all the players have checked out, so to speak, Jed is revealed as the winner, and will more than likely use it on himself, little knowing what's coming in 24 hours.

Ty wins Skip the Dishes for this week, moving swiftly on

Hang on, Kiefer now pitching that he go and persuade Jed to use the Veto on Beth, and staggeringly everyone who's not Jed goes for it, with Tera suggesting she put Brey on the block as the replacement.

Another wasted HoH is looming then, whatever happens before the twist.

To break it down

  • Tera's HoH
  • Jed won Veto
  • Should have been evicted Kiefer pitching to get Jed to use the Veto on Beth, with Tera suggesting Breydon go up instead
Tina's eviction in terms of stupid moves could well be topped in a two for one tonight...

Veto ceremony

Astonishingly, Jed chooses to use the Veto on Beth. Like what the actual.... And some though voting out Tina was a dumb move, and to compound this error, Tera goes one better and puts BREYDON on the block. I just have no words, have some of these people ever watched this show before. At least Victoria somewhat played when she was in there, but these ones left..... This is an absolute mess, and we still have the fake double to come in the next episode.

To be continued in Episode 23, just have no words for these people, and as Randy Orton said to Kofi once, "Stupid, Stupid"......

Big Brother Canada 2021 - Episode 21 - Nominations and any other business

A fresh week and fresh new HoH

In case you missed it, Tera's partner in gossiping aka Tina was evicted 3-1 in the last episode, and then Tera went on to win the HoH comp

Think these nominations will be really predictable in that two of the throuple will be on the block by the end of this particular episode.

Tonight

Tera has the ball, now let's see if she can run with it. The reign of Tera begins...

And we start with the latest dumb move in them getting rid of Tina, when it should have been Kiefer.

Beth already getting overconfident, what else is new. Tera saying she doesn't trust anybody, how can she seeing she is basically floating through this season, but now is on her own with Tina's exit.

The throuple to no surprise are selected as Have Not's

And to cap it off, HoH Tera hears them having a conversation about her, and says she will have the last laugh. We will see, the look on their little faces when someone walks back in on the eviction episode after the fake double eviction

By the way, one of the throuple said they were playing a pretty perfect game, a laugh in itself. Um, got rid of the wrong person in the last eviction in a dumb move, I wouldn't call that perfect.

May have been mentioned before, but Beth is so arrogant. Nothing wrong with a bit of confidence, but jeez she takes it to a whole new level. She thinks she has brains, but is coming across as somewhat delusional.

Ty is picked for this week's Wendy's date, and Tera gets a video message from her husband and kids.

Meanwhile back on planet Beth....maybe less said the better

Nominations ceremony

As expected, it is the showmance on the block as in Beth and Jed. On to step 2 in the next episode when the Veto is up for grabs.

To be continued in Episode 22.....

Sorry it's a bit short for this episode, but I had my first shot of vaccine on Sunday and the side effects are still rumbling on as in headache, tiredness and so forth. Hopefully fighting fit for the Veto episode onwards

Big Brother Canada 2021 - Episode 20 - Eviction (Tina v Kiefer)

The final 7 become the final 6 tonight, as we head into the not so big episode 2-0, and it's back to a single eviction with Tina on the block with replacement nominee Kiefer
In case you missed it, Tera won the Veto and used it on herself. Yes you read right, TERA won the Veto and she now wins at least another week in the house

The same Tera that had a temper tantrum during the HoH comp, the same Tera that has basically held Tina back from playing.....I think you get the picture.

While Kiefer was just a blubbing mess, when Jed announced him as the replacement nominee

Apparently there has been a lot of to-ing and fro-ing about who goes on the feeds, but last time we were teased with a flip there wasn't one, so hopefully it will be second time lucky...But what the hell, I'm not really fussed who goes tonight, as I said yesterday whoever can mastermind Beth's downfall as in get her on the block and out of there, they will have my endorsement to win.

But it sure feels quiet in there with Victoria gone, but hopefully some footage of the jury house very soon.....

Anyway onto tonight's festivities

Tonight

Arisa looking very chic as always as she welcomes us in, and she goes into more detail about the flip flopping of the last few days, so this really could go either way. But if Beth or Ty win the next HoH, then I would probably concede it would be over.

Kiefer admits he got caught playing both sides of the house, I would say more along the lines of being a smug *bleep*

Meanwhile, it's Ty and Breydon talking diversity, racism and BLM. Topics which are still dividing the world to this day unfortunately. Talk then turns to George Floyd and how it took him dying for the movement to start.

Back to Kiefer, and he is basically saying to Breydon how he kept the target off the throuple and doesn't understand how they turned on him. Breydon thinks it would be best to keep Kiefer.

Chilli challenge

Quite simply for a special reward, down 7 chilli's ranging from 1 to 7 in terms of spice factor

To cut a long story short, they passed and got the special reward.....You guessed it, a party.

In a conversation with Ty, Kiefer tells him it would be good for Beth's game if he (Kiefer) leaves as she would take Breydon to final 4

Both agree Beth would get rid of Jed, but Jed would keep her

And they are seriously considering cutting Tina, rather than Kiefer who has basically won more comps at this point.....

If only we had someone who could play the game it's meant to be played, oh I forgot she's been sent to jury.

Eviction vote

Brey, Ty and Beth voted to evict Tina

Tera was the sole vote for Kiefer

If only Tina had played her game, rather than being held back by Tera....

HoH comp

As outgoing HoH, Jed is ineligible to play this week

Another questions based comp this week, hopefully we will have the winner in this episode

Who said what, as in listening to former houseguests quotes via voice recordings

Update - Tera in the lead going into the final commercial break

We have a winner, and TERA is the new HoH!!!!!!!

Knew this was going to happen, a few weeks off the radar and she finally starts playing so close to the end.

But wait, Arisa announces to the audience that it's a fake double eviction next week. What that means is the two people who will do a battle back, and one of them will go back in. Let Tera have her little moment, imagine if she goes next week though, but even better we may even be free of the showmance if Beth ends up going.

To be continued in Episode 21....

Big Brother Canada 2021 - Episode 19 - Power of Veto

Halfway through Jed's reign as HoH, in TV time that is, as we head into another Veto episode and another step closer to finding out who will be the third jury member

This house really badly needs some energy after Victoria's departure in the Double Eviction....A throuple in Jed, Beth and Ty, a floater in Tera and the three in the middle in Tina, Kiefer and Breydon.

This is all we have to work with, our final 7 for what's left of this season

Have to say Beth does need to go, or at least be knocked down a peg or two. Just her flat out arrogance after Victoria went, thinking she's got this all wrapped up.

Tonight

Jed says Tera and Tina are a strong duo, must have missed that myself....

Can we just fast forward to final 3 now, and give the throuple the money. Absolutely no confidence in the other four stopping the other three.

I'm going to say right now, Beth 3rd and Jed or Ty winning. She's only hanging on due to a showmance or she would have been out a lot sooner.

Oh yes, nothing much is happening as we head into the veto picks

Veto picks

Playing this week will be Tera, Tina, Ty, Beth and Kiefer with Breydon hosting

Veto competition

Shall we just call this a sponcom, (sponsored competition) by Tiktok. Just a side note, I recently got rid of that particular app from my tablet

Memory game, and it's a three parter

ROUND 1 - Stack the blocks in the correct order, but to make it more difficult the players will be blindfolded

Tera, Tina and Beth make it through, everyone else is eliminated

ROUND 2 - Now it's recreate a slop recipe by finding numbers for ingredient amounts, and numbers have to be converted to metric.

Astonishingly, Tina and Tera make it to the final round

ROUND 3 - Trick shot as in getting a ping pong ball bouncing off some racquets down some stairs and into the glass at the bottom

Staggeringly, Tera wins the Veto

So very likely she will give herself another week in there at least, when she uses it on herself

Meanwhile, Jed's balls seem to have dropped off as he still lets Beth dictate what to do next in terms of a replacement nominee

Next up, the houseguests have to play Hide and Seek, and the last person found gets to choose who sleeps in the newly installed bed in the Ball pit

Beth is last found and she chooses Ty on the basis that if there is a secret power in there, he will be the best person to find it.

Meanwhile, and this is throughout this episode, Kiefer strutting around thinking he's the best player ever. Oh please, he's not even the best player of this season, let alone the best player ever.

If there was an award for most delusional player, Beth or Kiefer would win by a mile or it would be a tie

Veto ceremony

Tera decides to use the Veto on herself, and Jed names Kiefer as the replacement. Tera rolls out "14 years since my brother passed" as she announces her decision, while Kiefer blubs away. The price for being too cocky, pal.

To be continued in Episode 20, when Tina or Kiefer will leave and become the next member of jury. In closing, whoever is in final 6 this house needs a major kick up the rear end.

Big Brother Canada 2021 - Episode 18 - Nikki Grahame Tribute, HoH and Nominations

Another week, and unfortunately the house is now down one Victoria and all the energy in the house that went with her.....

But first, some really sad news in the Big Brother world with the passing of Big Brother UK and Canada houseguest, and some would say legend in Nikki Grahame as she lost her brave fight with anorexia.

It's hard to put into words the massive gap she will leave in the Big Brother world, as like her or not she put so many smiles on faces whichever series she turned up on. Just the mere mention of her name, and you could roll off so many moments she brought to Big Brother and probably the most popular one in her who is she rant from her debut series way back in 2006. She was one of those many tried to imitate over the years, but none could hold a candle to the real deal. She truly was one of a kind, and will be dearly missed. Sleep well, Nikki, you will be missed so much.

Back to house business, and we are down to the final seven with Rohan joining Victoria in the jury house, and tonight sees the next HoH crowned and their nominations.

And of course we start with a tribute to Nikki from Arisa....

Long recap of Double Evction night, follows. That particular summary is in the last post out there if people want to read it.

Unfortunately it does look like the throuple, that is Beth, Jed and Ty, are starting to put a stranglehold on this house. It was a nice few weeks, but as we count down to the end it does like like the 3 mentioned people are just going to pick off the other 4 in Kiefer, Breydon, Tera and Tina in whatever order.

Beth couldn't be more cocky if she tried, whoever puts her on the block and gets her out gets my endorsement to win

Seriously, who is going to stop the throuple....I really don't have much confidence in Breydon, Kiefer and more especially Tina and Tera.

Beth getting an annoying mastermind edit, before we move onto.....

HoH comp

As outgoing HoH, Kiefer is not eligible to play

Quite simple endurance today, as in the players have to find the white balls in the ball pit and put them in their respective box. 5 balls at a time, and if a ball with a red X is dropped into someone's tube then that person loses a ball. Whoever has most balls by the end of the time limit

Should be noted that Tera is having a a tantrum about them all dropping the red X's into her tube, and she's starts whining about losing, and keeps whining throughout the competition, and also after it.

Eventually, Jed wins and the steamroll from the throuple continues. Additional, Big Brother announces there will be no Have Nots for this week.

He picks Tera for his Wendy's date, and his video message was from his baby sister when he went to pick up the meal.

Discussion with Jed and Beth, he is seriously asking her permission to put Tina and Tera on the block. Do what YOU want, Jed. Don't be her little lapdog.

Nomination ceremony

Jed nominates Tera and Tina, and the steamroll gathers pace with the throuple firmly in charge of this house

To be continued in Episode 19, with the Power of Veto up for grabs and the next step is taken towards seeing who jury member 3 will be.

Big Brother Canada 2021 - Episode 17 - Double Eviction

Another week draws to its close, along with Beth's HoH reign and most likely Victoria's stay in the house with her being named as replacement nominee, after Rohan won his 3rd Veto comp in a row and saved himself
This episode sees the start of jury, and also tonight it's a double eviction so a whole week of Big Brother in one night, and not one but two houseguests will take their places in the jury house

Not expecting many highlights with so much to get through, apparently on the feeds Victoria was pitching hard to stay in, and I do hope we see some of that hard work and she stays in or the remaining Sunsetters will put a sleeper hold on this house and run roughshod over everyone right through to the end.

Arisa looking as chic as ever as she announces the running order for tonight, and we kick off with the Veto ceremony aftermath.

Time for Victoria to pitch and pitch VERY hard, meanwhile Beth couldn't be happier as she gloats in the Diary Room about this move.

Victoria is very calm as she sets about pitching to stay, which is great to see I may add and is much preferred to a big kick off. Meanwhile, Tera is doing nothing to merit staying in, she's....yep you guessed it, just sitting in a corner gossiping. Much like most days really.....

I take it back about Victoria being calm, house meeting completely explodes, and Victoria admits to everyone she was the invisible HoH. Never popcorn around when it's needed, but then again it would be very difficult to write and eat popcorn at the same time.

But Victoria does ask a good question in why did Tera sign up for this show, she's done barely anything

Eviction #1

Breydon votes to evict Victoria
Tina votes to evict Victoria
Rohan votes to evict Victoria
Ty votes to evict Victoria
Kiefer votes to evict Victoria
Jed votes to evict Victoria

Unanimous vote, and goodbye to Victoria

HoH comp

As outgoing HoH, Beth is ineligible to play in this one.

Before or After, Arisa will ask them questions and they will answer Before or After questions. Highest scoring after all questions are asked will be the temporary HoH for this comp

And we have a winner, take a bow........KIEFER

Nominations

Kiefer nominates Rohan and Breydon

Veto comp

Playing in this one will be Ty, Rohan, Beth, Breydon and Tina

In this one housemates gave to take their respective swords through a maze and put it through a stone. First to do this wins Veto.

And at the fourth time of asking, Rohan does not win the Veto comp and this honour goes to TY

Ty decides NOT to use the Veto....

Eviction #2

Beth votes to evict Rohan
Jed votes to evict Rohan
Tera votes to evict Rohan
Tina votes to evict Rohan
Ty votes to evict Rohan
Another unanimous vote

And with those two gone, this house is officially dead in terms of entertainment. What we got left? Tina and Tera gossiping in the nearest corner? Beth and Jed swapping saliva?

This season started off so well, such a solid start and then this.....

But we soldier on, for episode 18 when we find out the next HoH and their nominations

Big Brother Canada 2021 - Episode 16 - Power of Veto

Another week, another Veto comp, and Rohan is going for a hat-trick of Veto wins

So far:

HoH - Beth
Nominated pre-Veto - Rohan and Tera

Not the most exciting week so far in terms of Beth's reign, but then again the HoH had already played out in the eviction episode, so maybe not much to work with?

Other highlights included everyone got video messages from home this week, Beth took Rohan for the Wendy's meal and got a video message from her best friend.

Tonight

Teranoia reigns supreme, while Victoria could see herself in a potential blindside. Beth told the houseguests that Rohan was the target, but the real target for now is Victoria

Victoria says in the Diary Room, that it doesn't matter who goes home this week

Tera says she knows Victoria won't go down without a fight. Well at least Victoria is playing this dam game, unlike you who likes to sit gossiping in the corner and would rather float to the end.

Breydon starting to make a few waves now, but still has much to prove if he wants to win. Socially good, but I guess the mastermind edit for him kind of helps as well and they want to make us see he is doing something now his partner in crime Austin has gone.

Meanwhile, the Canadian punteroonies have picked Rohan to skip the slop in the latest vote.

Veto picks

Playing in the Veto comp this week will be Tera, Rohan, Breydon, Tina and Ty. Bit of a setback for Victoria, as she is the real target as everyone knows by now. But she is hosting though.....

Side note, if Beth was given a megaphone all the windows in that house would be shattered

Veto comp

Bit of a complicated explanation this time....so here goes

The players have to arrange what's cooking as in memorise in what order the food is on the BBQ, and then throw a corn into a cornhole, play hoopla with a pineapple stick as in get it on a stick and then try to throw a hot dog sausage into a bun, and then using a giant spatula throw it all on their respective BBQ's and get it all in the right order. Fastest time wins Veto, and there's a bonus prize of a real BBQ on offer as well.

Staggeringly, Rohan gets the hat-trick of Veto wins and saves himself again. The guy is unstoppable at the moment whether it be a public vote or Veto comps. Just needs an HoH to complete the set.

Meanwhile, Beth is feeling 'spooked out' at having to pull the trigger on naming Victoria as the replacement nominee, while Victoria has been led to believe it will be Tina. Like her Christmases have all come at once, but to be fair Victoria is a huge threat

Veto ceremony

To no shock, Rohan uses the Veto on himself, and Victoria is named as the replacement nominee. One would think Beth enjoyed saying what she did, and then putting Victoria on the block

Fingers crossed she doesn't go, as, and I don't usually say this, if she goes in the next episode that house will be dead in terms of energy for the rest of the run.

What will we have to look forward to if the one person who brings the energy actually goes? Beth and Jed swapping saliva? Tera and Tina gossiping in some corner of the house instead of actually playing?

To be continued in Episode 17, when the first two jury members are revealed in a double eviction

Monday 5 April 2021

Big Brother Canada 2021 - Episode 15 - Nominations

And here we are again, my friends and readers

Invisible HoH week is officially over, and ended with Austin being evicted. Breydon not that much of a threat, so more wiser to keep him in as he's done nothing of note apart from his friendship with Austin.

Some think Victoria, as the invisible HoH should have put two from Beth, Ty or Jed on the block, and this could bite her on the you know where sooner rather than later

When we last left our remaining houseguests, Arisa had announced to us only so far that it was officially the start of jury and that this week is a double eviction. Oh and yelly Beth was crowned the new HoH, something which caused quite the mixed reaction on social media. So a loud week ahead, given how much Beth loves to shout in the Diary Room so it's widely suggested to have a mute button primed and ready.

And we have a recap of the HoH comp, cue lots of screaming and Jed basically admitting he threw the comp for his house squeeze. Duh, couldn't make it more obvious you threw this one for your 'girlfriend'

Have nots this week are Breydon, Rohan, Tina and Tera followed by celebrations from the remaining Sunsetters. So many power shifts this season, and I am here for it. Better than one alliance having a stranglehold on the house and running things from start to finish and in turn sending the viewership to sleep making the game so predictable.

Tina and Tera, aka the two floaters, are worried they will go on the block together. To quote a former houseguest, "You floaters better get those life jackets ready" or words to that effect.

Fast forward now to the videos from home for everyone.... Not much else to say really about this segment, apart from there were lots of tears

Tera is certain she is going on the block, while Beth chooses Rohan for her Wendy's date and gets her 2nd video message of the episode from her friend. In their conversation during their meal, Rohan knows in the back of his mind Victoria is the real target. Yes, lots of screams of course from the yelly one on seeing her friend, and it's only the first episode of this week. Only two more to go for this week, but she can play in the 2nd HoH comp in the Double Eviction episode, if I remember correctly.

Some interesting talk from Beth, about the possibility of not having Ty and Jed in final 3 with her. In fact, as it's been said by many for this season, no one alliance having a stranglehold over the house from the start and it really is open season in there.

Nominations ceremony

Beth nominates Tera and Rohan, but it should be noted that Rohan is a Veto comp beast, and also Victoria is the real target. Can Rohan make it a hat-trick of Veto wins and save himself again, or can Tera get her maiden comp win?.....

To be continued in Episode 16
