Week 1 ramblings (BBUK 2026) House of Chaos

Greetings, citizens of Big Brother land, as we head into another series which has been extended to 8 weeks

Very indifferent start to this series I would say, as in it being all but confirmed a "different house" each week and the added problem of celebrities being chucked in every week, and to which two of them have been confirmed by the various toilet papers. Names I won't reveal to those who will want to wait until they are officially confirmed, sorry but I do want to get off to a good start with this year's summaries, instead of going stir crazy from the off.

And, yes there are housemates in this series, even though they will probably be shadows and wallpaper in their own series once these celebrities start filing in

Shall we meet these extras then, I mean housemates, only briefly though as there is a lot of work to do as I write this with the first eviction looming

Yasmin - Manchester
Harry - Croyden
Chelsey - Originally from Grimsby, but now in Manchester
Philip - Liverpool
Lynx - Wolverhampton
Charlotte - Oxford
Pauline - Essex
Rochelle - Essex
Millie - Glasgow
Frankie - London
Samuel - Slough
Rob - Devon
Rhianna - Chelsea
Omar - London
Johanne - Los Angeles

Pfft, only one Scot and no Welsh or Irish housemate. Guess us Welsh and Irish weren't sufficiently entertaining. Although looking at the twist, could have had a lucky escape with what's planned, but hopefully there will be some Welsh and Irish people on standby in case any of this lot walk or are kicked out

Oh yes, in case you didn't know there was a 24 hour feed for the test run in which some influencers went in there, and were given various tasks, secret missions and the jail made an appearance as well so that will most likely make an appearance in the main series, instead of the more serious punishments which most out here want, and that the housemates won't laugh at.

So they have shown they can run a feed, and it was pretty good and unfiltered with the swear words kept in as it was Youtube and the influencers accounts, but won't do it for the main series as they have said there is NO feed for the main series. Seriously? we have to rely on their version of events for every argument and not be allowed to enjoy, complain or both about housemates? Ridiculous if you ask me, it's like Love Island with them in total control of what we see in that house, and then shoving their 'lovey-dovey' showmances down our throats. Who goes, stays or wins. THEY decide

Anyway, no point in going over old rope as they won't change their minds, a pretty standard launch with the usual screaming and shouting from our new not rights, probably due to launch night nerves. Some had the look of recruits, especially Philip and his Tik Tok channel "Queen of Scotty Road", god this guy is going to be annoying from the word go and he didn't disappoint, more on that later.

One I think I did get wrong though was Frankie, thought he was going to be a right ladies man, but he did come out as bisexual a couple of days in, and that couldn't have been easy. Will he win? Not sure he will. Omar and his urban talk innit, and Lynx going in there just to score. Just pack these two along with Chelsey and Rhianna off to Love Island, so we can enjoy BBUK without these four getting shoved down our throats, even when they so much as breathe on each other and everything taken out of context

Think the honour of winning may go to Samuel, he looks like the one who will go on the 'journey'. But it's very early days yet, and of course housemates can go from hero to zero as the edit works in very strange ways, and with no feed this series that goes double.... Some ways, Samuel reminds me somewhat of myself as in really nerdy, although he's got guts for going in there I'll give him that. Something I've already tried twice, but never really got past the first round of auditions. Then again I was going for series 7 and 8 which were probably all but settled anyway, and I would have probably been climbing the walls if I had been in one of those series  Already christened him Brains, so if you see that reference in the future ramblings that's him.

So many arguments as well which will please a lot of the fanbase, should have named this week Johanne v The House seeing she's at the centre of most of the arguments so far

Rochelle says she applied for a joke, and it shows as well as she hasn't got a clue how this show works. She's already had handbags with Johanne and made borderline inappropriate comments to various housemates, which has landed her on the chopping block. More on that in a little while.....

Oh yes did I forget to mention there is a pair of moles in there? Big Brother didn't tell us enough at first, repeatedly telling us 'There's a mole in the house' but they thankfully eased off. The mole, in case anyone missed it and I'm sure they didn't, is Tays. One of the influencers from the test feed, and BB's personal choice I may add. He chose Philip as his deputy, lucky us I suppose. Will be glad when Tays is gone, added NOTHING with this mole crap, but then we have the celebrities looming and this goes on for the rest of the series

Truth is, there has not been much chaos, BUT as usual there has been nominations meddling from the word go with him and Philip the only ones nominating this week, and they decided to nominate Pauline, the possible rebel without a clue aka Kitten if she stays in, Rochelle, no surprise there and also Millie.

Hard to believe Millie was a possible favourite at the start, and now she's just been relegated to the wallpaper. People lobbying hard for her to go as the 'sacrificial lamb' with the old mantra "If Rochelle goes, so does the drama"

I don't believe that personally, she's already said she wants to go several times and maybe she should be granted her wish? It would be a waste to keep her in there as she could walk soon anyway..... Just send her on her way from a place she doesn't want to be in.

HOWEVER, Big Brother were at it again, this time with save and replace. The 3 facing the public vote had a chance to save themselves if they could guess who the mole was. Good luck with that as they hardly know each other, heck we know even less about them all with no feed. What chance have Pauline, Rochelle and Millie got?

Hardly none as all 3 failed spectacularly and will face the public vote. Only on BBUK eh? A female goes first, only two males have broken that streak and both quite forgettable in the process.

To round things off, a less than entertaining so far shopping task, what else is new.... And yes there is stirring included and the rules as clear as mud, so nothing new there in this era. Hopefully it will pick up before the eviction, but not getting hopes up.

Jeez, I don't want to be down on this show AGAIN, but things just feel all over the place at the moment in my opinion. Hopefully things will pick up, but with the celebrities looming this is going to feel like series 16 where the civilians were overshadowed by the show chucking in celebrities hoping something would stick, and then certain ex housemates were chucked in, with one going over the wall, two leaving via the front door, and the other overstaying their welcome by a good long while. Hope this series won't turn into that, but not feeling hopeful.

Why no feed then, probably to do with this ridiculous twist with the celebrities and ITV's obsession with celebrities with all these shows they feel the celebrities should be on. I mean what's happened to the days when we have had Noel's House Party, Game for a Laugh and Beadle's About to name but a few, where the public were the stars, rather the usual celebrities who will turn up for the opening of an envelope, if it made them a little cash on the side.

Anyway, back to the show and back from the eviction and to no surprise Millie has left, so cue BB ramping up the drama now Rochelle is still there.

Shopping task passed for what it's worth, as they'll get parties and treats anyway

Tays was revealed as the mole, and Philip as his deputy. We don't get to see the fallout live if there is any, only the few small crumbs the show can edit, cut and paste any way they want ready for Sunday.

Really sucks there is NO feed, as they have most likely blown the budget paying for all the celebrities.

Not much learned from either Tays or Millie's interviews, but the worst news at the end. Those clowns known as Jedward will be moving in for a week, the theme now changing to Double Trouble. So much for these housemates enjoying their experience....

What exactly will Jedward and the other 6 celebrities bring to this series? Absolutely nothing, zilch, zip, nada

The show have got a potential gold mine with these housemates, and now they are being screwed over by them backstage, and in some ways the viewers are being screwed with no feed to watch the Philip fallout alive amongst other things

Better stop before I get really wound up

A shout out for BB on Blast, as they prepare to go on the air with their first pod of this series very soon, channel right here

Until next time, keep on rocking and god help the housemates for the next 7 weeks.......
