When we last left our houseguests:
- Bayleigh had told Rachel all about her Identity Theft power, and as expected it spread like wildfire
- At the eviction, in his save me speech Brett told everybody who didn't know about Bayleigh's power which led to grim faces all round
- Rachel was evicted 5-4 in yet another blindside eviction, and she left without saying goodbye to anybody
- Angela won HoH after a tiebreaker with Angie
Apps still in play:
Bayleigh - Identity Theft. Bayleigh can change the HoH's nominations. It cannot be used to nominate the HoH themself, nor can it be used to decide a replacement nominee in a Veto ceremony as that power goes to the HoH. This power can only be used once and if she doesn't use it, it will expire once the houseguests are whittled down to 8.
Tyler - The Cloud. When Tyler thinks he will be nominated or be a replacement nominee if a Veto is used, he can use his power to make himself immune from either of these events. Like with Bayleigh's power it can only be used once, so can't be used for that week's nominations AND Veto ceremony.
Tonight.....
Tonight sees Angela make her nominations, however they can and will change when the hacker power comes into play, more on this later. So sit back and enjoy the recap as the countdown begins to the first member of this season's jury being decided
We pick up the action after Rachel's eviction and there are some grim faces after Brett's little speech revealing Bayleigh's power
Brett: My speech worked flawlessly. This house is so pissed I am still here. You will have to call me El Cockoroach as I am not going anywhere. Losers.
Angie: (crying) I wanted to win this so bad. It would have meant seeing my babies. I don't even know if Isaac has hair or what colour it is. I miss my family so much.
Tyler tells Angie to keep her head up and not let the others see her this upset.
Angela: Guess who's HoH this week. We got Rachel out of the house, and a few days ago Brett and I hashed out a plan to out Bayleigh's power app
45 hours before eviction, and we see said plan being hashed out in regards to Bayleigh's power
Tyler: My plan was to save Brett this week, but that's not what Bayleigh wanted. So right before live eviction, I had to cover my tracks and make it seem like I had no choice to vote Rachel out
Flashback to Tyler covering his tracks
Bayleigh: I'm annoyed, because Brett went out of his way to be all extra and do snitch *bleep*. You (Brett) did a great job in opening a can of worms by telling everybody I have a power, but now you've opened a Pandora's Box and now I'm going to be pissed at you.
Remind me, Bayleigh, who was it who blabbed to Rachel about the power in the first place. Oh yes it was you wasn't it, you are in no position to make threats. You have brought this all on yourself.
Bayleigh goes to confront Brett about his speech, where he really doesn't have to explain himself. She is digging her own grave and it just gets deeper and deeper. He calls her 'honey' which gets her heckles up right away and she loudly tells him not to call her that
She has the nerve to ask Brett why he would throw her under the bus, which doesn't take a genius to work out. Doesn't Bayleigh understand the rules of this show, or does it take a piece of paper and a pencil to spell out YOU BLABBED TO RACHEL, IT'S YOUR OWN FAULT
She then goes to accuse Brett of making her look an idiot. Don't think she needs Brett's help to look like an idiot especially in this situation and what she's done already.
Brett: Bayleigh, you put me on the block, but now you are mad at me defending myself to get myself off the block. How am I the bad guy here
Bayleigh: When Brett exposes all my Identity Theft power to change the HoH's nominations, it kind of worries me and everyone is looking at me funny. I don't know if I should use it now or see if I actually need it
In the garden, Faysal says he doesn't know what is going on, and queries to JC if Angela actually voted Rachel out, but JC doesn't know what to believe anymore and says he didn't flip the vote
Faysal: Damn, this is the 4th time I have voted on the wrong side of the house. It's frustrating, because one minute you think you have the votes it's going smooth, and the person you think will walk out of the door will walk out of the door, and then they don't. I have no idea what's going on in this house
Back to JC and Faysal, and JC points out Scottie is looking super happy, but JC also says he is guessing he is paranoid as Angie is walking around the house crying. That's just a normal day for Angie, JC, nothing new there
JC: I need Faysal's side to believe I'm worrying with them. I am just throwing names out there, maybe it was Scottie, maybe it was Angie. I don't know, but I know it wasn't me. Remember, he doesn't have any brains, I'm his brains.
In the bedroom, Bayleigh and Angie sit down for a conversation about Rachel's eviction
Bayleigh: At the eviction, I could have sworn Rachel was going to stay. I had all these people lined up to vote Brett out. So I want to know who flipped and get to the bottom of it right now
Get over yourself, Bayleigh, Rachel was evicted. This is just sour grapes now.
Tyler and Kaycee celebrate Rachel getting evicted, and JC joins them shortly afterward
Tyler: I can't believe we pulled that off, Rachel is gone, and the rest of them are running around like headless chickens trying to figure out who voted her out.
Angie admits to Tyler that it's the 4th time she has voted wrong
Hacker competition
To cut a long story short, whoever wins the hacker power will get to change one of the nominations made by the HoH, then be able to pick their own player for Veto, and finally to cancel out an eviction vote
Way too much power in my opinion, and not really needed as this season is chugging along nicely without chucking more hand grenades in there.
Scottie: Ugh, another twist. Whoever wins this has 3 different ways they can hack the game this week. The biggest of these being the hacker can replace of the nominees with someone they choose and this will be completely anonymous. We'll have no idea who did it. This is absolutely ludicrous, the BB Hacker competition is a total game changer
Haleigh: I was on the wrong side of the vote this week, yet again, and neither myself or an alliance member is in power this week. I don't exactly have the best relationship with Angela. If I was able to win the hacker comp, I could have a little power in this game.
Angela: This is going to throw my HoH for a loop. I can't even control who gets put up. I can nominate two people, but one of them can be replaced. My control of this week has just plummeted.
Haleigh is discussing the hacker power with JC, Faysal, Angie and Scottie. Angie points out there are still two powers floating around. Haleigh says Rachel fed Brett the information about Bayleigh's Identity Theft power.
Angie: This game is so unpredictable. I mean, I know we are supposed to expect the unexpected, but there already two powers in play. I've got to win this Hacker comp, as it's the ONLY way my side is going to get any power
Brett: Despite my ally being HoH this week, Brett is still in a pot of boiling water. I just blew up Bayleigh's game, and she's got this power app which she could put me up, and there's still this Hacker comp where someone else could anonymously put me up. This could be a tough week for Brett
Sam bizarrely calls a house meeting where she suggests planning they all throw the competition to her and she will just refuse to use it. Sam, if I had time I'd laugh. Love you to bits, Sam, but this was not one of your better ideas.
Level 4, 5 or 6 are gloating over FOUTTE not being so smart. Kaycee in particular is being particularly shady, saying they are stupid. That's coming from someone who has basically yet to win anything or contribute something to this season so far. Angela says she is thinking of putting Scottie and Angie on the block
Angela: I am thinking of putting up Angie and Scottie. With this hacker competition, all I can do is put up two people who would be ok with going home and we roll all the dice from there. Anything can happen.
Brett points out that Angie could lose it if she goes on the block, and Kaycee says Angie is the lone wolf. Tyler suggests if they have a chance to get Bayleigh out, then they have to get her out.
Angela: Honestly, I wouldn't mind if Angie or Scottie go home this week, but it would be awesome to get Bayleigh out before she has the chance to use her power
In the HoH room, former HoH Bayleigh and current HoH Angela are having a conversation about how crazy this week is going to get. Bayleigh says if other people had won the HoH she would have a been a little nervous, but is happy with Angela in power.
Bayleigh: I needed a talk with Angela, as I have the Identity Theft app, which I could make the first strike and hijack Angela's nominations. But not sure I should with this whole Hacker competition.
Angela: Bayleigh is my number one target this week, and is the brains behind the other side of the house. So I need to make sure Bayleigh feels safe, so that she doesn't use her power app to change the nominations. So I'm telling Bayleigh exactly what she wants to hear
Bayleigh admits she shouldn't have told Rachel, but wasn't planning on telling anyone
Nominations ceremony
"It is my responsibility to nominate two houseguests for eviction. I will turn two keys and their faces will appear on the memory wall"
To no surprise, Angela has nominated Angie and Scottie. She explains there are apps floating around and there really can't be strategy this week with the Hacker comp hanging over them as well.
Bayleigh does NOT use her Identity Theft app
Scottie: It is not really a surprise I am on the block. However, we have some power apps, Veto and a hacker comp in the air. So I highly doubt these nominations will stay the same this week.
Brett wishes Angie luck for the week
Angie: Brett and I don't talk a lot. She's (Angie) obviously working with Brett. I'm trying and not succeeding. Any game, any week, any anything. Feeling like I'm getting really beat up in here.

And that of course, will be revealed in Episode 19
Final thoughts
I will admit I did enjoy that episode very much, but this hacker stuff is really not needed when this season is going along well on its own merits. Too much power for one person whether you like them or not. Bayleigh is the next eviction in waiting if one of Level 6 wins the Veto, her own fault. If only she had kept her mouth shut, eh?
