CBB UK Summer 2018 - Episode 26 - The Final Showdown

Welcome to a kind of live as it happens post for the CBB Finale

Either Kirstie, Ryan, Dan, Gabby, Sally or Nick will be walking out the winner of possibly the final ever series of CBB on Five

Emma looking very chic as she welcomes us in to the usual cacophony of whoop whoops, whether it be The Voice or this show, she always manages to look so pretty.

Warning that the civilian housemates will be revealed in full tonight, so I won't be covering that part of the show. Unlike Mr. Frow, I will show some courtesy to those who will be waiting for Friday's civilian launch to see who the new and probably final batch of civilian housemates are.

The evicted celebrities in Natalie, Jermaine, Hardeep, Chloe and Ben are already in place in the VIP stand, cheers for everyone still in there apart from charlatan Sally.

6th place will be announced in three minutes and the vote will freeze

Some bonus highlights it would seem as the ones still in there share their Final Supper, not the final 6 I would have had but that's the public for you. Tears all round as they reminisce on their last night in there and all of them are in the Diary Room

Lines are now frozen, and finishing in 6th place is GABBY

One half of the flirting floaters out the door, the other half will probably come out as runner up

Would it hurt those morons outside to be respectful for the finale for once, would love to see them go in there and then come out to deafening boos

On to Gabby's interview and she says everyone was so wonderful in there. Emma asks her about Dan, and she said she was always comfortable with Dan in there, and their relationship in there was purely platonic. She is then asked about Natalie's comment about her being in the background, as she really was just there and did not do anything of note. Ben is then shown on the big screen as he wants to take Gabby on a date, Gabby says neither yes or no.

Time for 5th place to come out straight away, and finishing in 5th place is SALLY. Bye bye you charlatan and fraud. 

She predicted she would come 3rd, so much for that prediction. Stormy Daniels is brought up as having walked just hours before launch. She has her usual dig at Hardeep, safe to say those two won't be exchanging birthday invitations in the near future. Another reminder of that 'incident' which will effectively seal Ryan's win, please can we leave that in the past as it's bad enough Ryan is going to win on the basis of that one moment of madness.

4th place time, they are going through these quickly....Finishing in 4th place, will be NICK....Jeez, who the hell is voting for that cretin Osbourne. 

Nick says he is astonished about finishing in 4th, should have finished higher just my opinion. Words of wisdom for some of his best bits, and he says he will be meeting up with some of them outside of the house.

3rd place next up, and finishing in 3rd place is DAN. Good riddance as well, shouldn't have been in there at all. 

Final two everyone predicted in Ryan and Kirstie, and we move a step closer to crowning the final ever CBB winner for now

Dan says he should have been out in the 2nd week, shouldn't have been in there at all in my opinion. Emma tells him he had no nominations, to which the studio audience cheer. Emma brings up his flirting with Gabby, and he says the awkwardness faded away pretty quickly. Didn't stop him flirting with her though did it?

This is it, folks, the moment we've all been waiting for.....Come on Kirstie!!!!!!!!

And our final CBB winner is RYAN......Not outraged but also not surprised, whether it was from the start or from the 'incident' onwards, the history books will show Ryan won and it's only a game show.

As expected we are shown the 'incident', shame to keep dredging up this and upsetting the ambiance of the final.

And there we have it, folks, your final CBB winner, step forward Ryan

And so closes the book on CBB for another year, but not hopefully for good if another channel picks the show up

Final thoughts

Think everything has been said that has been said for this finale, well done Ryan. Not the winner everyone wanted but that's the way the iceberg crumbles I suppose. There will be some sore heads until Friday, but I expect a full refresh and restart on Friday. I just hope everyone will give it a chance when it launches, and won't write it off as boring if they are not getting drunk and screaming at each other within a few days.

That being said, it's time to close the book on CBB and blow the dust off the Civilian book as we go one last time if the plug is pulled
