CBB UK Summer 2018 - Episode 24 - RIP Saturday highlights

As the title says, possibly the last ever Saturday highlights of Big Brother UK, as there are no Saturday highlights for Civilian.

Tonight sees Hardeep leave the house and yet another uncomfortable episode when Sally and a few others have a few more picks at him before he leaves

Lights on one last time for a Saturday highlights show, and off we go for highlights of the last eviction before Vote to Win.

Starting late today at 12.29pm, guess nothing happened in the morning. Straight into the daily flirt-a-thon with Dan and Gabby, meanwhile Sally is thinking about her time in the house. She compares the house to prison, and Nick disagrees. Nick talks about his time in prison and how someone got hit on the head with a sewing machine, and someone else got stabbed in the cheek with a biro.

Next up the housemates have decided to act out a hospital drama, I like the fact that this lot find ways to pass the time instead of waiting for Big Brother to give them something to do.

Hardeep doesn't want to participate, and of course while his back is turned some of them proceed to pick at him. Ryan and Sally are particularly vocal, keep talking Ryan and sink your chances of winning and maybe we can get Kirstie over the line as the winner instead.

Unfortunately this is where it starts to get a bit sour as the R word has been thrown out. Hardeep is trying hard to fight his corner, but it's not easy because as usual most of them are backing him into a corner. The real Dan starting to come out as he brings out threatening behaviour as we know he can given some certain audio towards an ex girlfriend. Gabby now sticking her nose in where it's not wanted.

And now Ryan's getting involved when he shouldn't, and ranting to everyone who will listen. Sally is making a right meal of the tears and some are stupidly falling for it, and she is screeching at full volume.

Sally now screeching in the Diary Room to Big Brother, god help the person behind the mic who has to listen. Put a sock in it, Sally, the historonics are not fooling anyone

And it still rumbles on, with Kirstie and Ryan now throwing their tuppence worth. Sympathy for Ryan fast ebbing away, the way he is ranting on and on.

15 minutes left and it's STILL rumbling on, Gabby now venting in the Diary Room about Hardeep. It's not going to make much difference in a few minutes when he goes. Ryan now getting Hardeep's ear, and not for the first time. Settle your kettle, he will be gone soon and we can all move on.

And right on cue, he's announced as gone. Happy now, housemates? He's gone so break out the celebration bottles and Sally can do cartwheels around the room. She was obviously waiting for him to be booed, sorry to disappoint you, fraud.

Big Brother congratulates the final 6 on being finalists, not the final 6 I would have chosen. Hardeep deserved it more than the fraud, but he just wanted to get out of there and I don't blame him. He may have comes across in a creepy way, but he deserved to be there much more than that charlatan.

Sally predicts the final 3, hopefully she or Gabby will be out first on Monday.

Bedtime as we get ready to close possibly the final ever Saturday highlights, and too much excitement as the background music plays for a final time on a Saturday.

To be continued in Episode 25.....

Final thoughts

48 hours left of this series and possibly CBB as a whole....Not the final 6 most hoped for and way too much time spent on the R word debate. I know Big Brother is supposed be about issues of all sorts, , but that just felt a little uncomfortable with each of them tearing a strip off Hardeep, whether it be in public or in the Diary Room. Sally proving to be the charlatan most knew her to be when she turned on the waterworks, but it's not our fault some of them are too stupid to fall for it all. So it's goodbye to Hardeep, and we have our 6 finalists.

2 flirting floaters (Dan and Gabby)
One charlatan (Sally)
The should be winner (Kirstie)
The most likely winner (Ryan)
The man who has had his moments, but in all fairness and realistically won't win (Nick)

Me personally, would love Kirstie to win, but due to that 'incident' Ryan will probably take the crown

Anyways, thanks for reading if you have made it this far down the page and keep those RT's, likes and shares coming.

This blog will be back for Civilian. Will be back for BB20 later as with the Nominations recap, so look out for that and even if the UK version is lost for next year, I will be back for USA and Canada.

  1. Thanks, Rich, on point as always. I really liked Hardeep, who cares that he didn't 'go with the flow', he wasn't about winning. It's refreshing to have a HM who tells it like it is from their prospective. I'm not fond of Kristie because of her politics, but she's been a great HM. That should be all that matters in this crazy, fabulous show.

    1. He was damned if he did speak and damned if he didn't. He couldn't win either way. Thank you for the comment, Jo :)
