CBB UK Summer 2018 - Episode 19 - The House Cook v The Rat

And off we go again for another episode, and tonight will see the departure of Hardeep or Jermaine. Emma will be conducting an interview with *sigh* Roxanne, not that she deserves one of course, given her lies and fabrications nearly ruined Ryan's career and reputation

Good luck, Emma, I don't envy you your job in this episode

Opening credits, and it's over you to Emma. The crowd is very silent as it's a surprise eviction, so thankfully none of that Whoop whoop tonight.

Emma tells us that the housemates think the eviction is happening the day after, and we see the housemates enjoying a party on the big screen within the compound. Fond memories of when Stu from regular series 5 was evicted from the diary room during a party.

Shortened highlights for this episode as we have HER interview to get through, and off we go

Day 2 of the shopping task, and pets are now allowed to speak to their owners. But the rules regarding pets being on the furniture, and pets only having meals prepared by their owners are still in place.

Dan has got running bottom and a bad stomach after a dodgy meal and says he is feeling ruff. Old corny joke I know, but got to have some laughs.before HER interview comes along

The full rules of this task are in the previous post, to cut a long story short Dan and Gabby must bark every time the doorbell sounds and Nick must go into his shell every time the bird of prey sound is played into the house.

Sally must catch the mice that come into the house, the remote on that thing is still dodgy as the mouse now crashes into one of the sunbeds.

Nick goes to the Diary Room and says he is not enjoying wearing his outfit and says he doesn't sound like a happy tortoise. Nearly over, Nick, hang in there.

Lots of animal puns from Marcus in his commentary, I may add.

Sally tries to console Ryan after the last few days, as it has been draining for him, them and us. Hopefully once her interview is done, we can finally move on with what's left.

For the next part of the task, Kirstie must answer some questions in the Diary Room, and Jermaine must repeat the answer he thinks she said. The reward is a treat for the house.

2 out of 5, so no treat this time, but I suspect they will get the Luxury budget anyway. This is one of the easiest shopping tasks ever, no way they can fail this....or can they?

Housemates incurred 16 fails, but the total in the envelope is revealed as 40. And to no surprise they have passed this week's shopping task, well they had to pass one of them didn't they, so fair result all around really.

Dan says he is feeling a lot better after his illness earlier, and then we move into another sensitive subject as in race. Another heated conversation between Ryan and Hardeep. Won't go into details, as everyone will have a different view of about this conversation and we've had enough bloodshed in the last few days. Let's just end this series in peace, but you have to give props to BB. You name the topic, BB has had it covered in this series and in January, which is what BB should be about. Pass this on to those casual fans who only tune in at the first sniff of an argument or controversy. There is more to this show than getting them drunk and throwing a shit stirring task, just for the sake of a few manufactured arguments.

Back to house action, and we move into the customary argument of sorting out the shopping list. Hardeep brings the subject around to food banks, and Dan tells him to start moaning. The same Dan, might I add, who has in the past threatened to knife an ex girlfriend if she started to see another bloke. Lots of bitching about Hardeep ensues between Ryan, Sally and Dan, and Dan calls him an idiot. Obviously behind his back.

Big Brother announces Hardeep and Jermaine to be on the block, Hardeep is getting used to this now. But I suspect it will be goodbye to the rat in the second show, as we still have HER interview to come in this first show.

Jermaine says he was expecting to be on the block, and won't take it personally. He refers to Hardeep as 'the sherminator' as Hardeep has survived over Natalie, Ben and Chloe. Don't fancy your chances tonight, Jermaine, you lowdown rat. Hardeep is only still in there because the person he sits on the block with is more loathed than him.

And it's time, folks, the interview nobody wanted to see and Emma didn't want to do, but thanks to a certain controller strong arming Endemol into this interview. Click here for the interview. Won't write it up, just click on the link provided and make up your own mind. Said all I am going to say about her, and will leave it at that

Will say more in the final thoughts shortly, but will say Emma wasn't swallowing anything of what she was saying. More later.

On to the second part, and it's eviction time

Eviction

Some BOTS promotion with Emma talking to Rylan, and the BOTS audience are equally quiet as well.

Here we go, and Emma is outside with the crowd and they are now in full voice for Ryan as she goes live to the house

She announces the next evictee is JERMAINE, thankfully we were spared the sight of Hardeep going out in his boxers as he was in bed.

Chorus of boos for the rat as expected from the mob outside. Go get him, Emma, his comeuppance is long overdue. Oh boy, and get him she does as she drags him about the Chloe situation, and he is absolutely sweating buckets and squirming his ass off.

As Rylan said earlier in the show, it is a letters from home task for the next show and obviously will be written up in the next post.

Final thoughts

Star of the night has undoubtedly gone to Emma Willis, took absolutely no shit from Roxanne or Jermaine in their interviews, and earned a very strong drink. Is it too early to say Chat Show for Emma, or maybe National Television Award. So many are critical of her interview technique, but tonight she really earned her stripes. You could see she didn't want to do that interview with Roxanne, and just the way she closed that particular interview by just removing her mic and giving no hug to Roxanne

Right person was evicted, and Emma shone again not letting up on him for a second
