CBB UK Summer 2018 - Episode 24 - RIP Saturday highlights

As the title says, possibly the last ever Saturday highlights of Big Brother UK, as there are no Saturday highlights for Civilian.

Tonight sees Hardeep leave the house and yet another uncomfortable episode when Sally and a few others have a few more picks at him before he leaves

Lights on one last time for a Saturday highlights show, and off we go for highlights of the last eviction before Vote to Win.

Starting late today at 12.29pm, guess nothing happened in the morning. Straight into the daily flirt-a-thon with Dan and Gabby, meanwhile Sally is thinking about her time in the house. She compares the house to prison, and Nick disagrees. Nick talks about his time in prison and how someone got hit on the head with a sewing machine, and someone else got stabbed in the cheek with a biro.

Next up the housemates have decided to act out a hospital drama, I like the fact that this lot find ways to pass the time instead of waiting for Big Brother to give them something to do.

Hardeep doesn't want to participate, and of course while his back is turned some of them proceed to pick at him. Ryan and Sally are particularly vocal, keep talking Ryan and sink your chances of winning and maybe we can get Kirstie over the line as the winner instead.

Unfortunately this is where it starts to get a bit sour as the R word has been thrown out. Hardeep is trying hard to fight his corner, but it's not easy because as usual most of them are backing him into a corner. The real Dan starting to come out as he brings out threatening behaviour as we know he can given some certain audio towards an ex girlfriend. Gabby now sticking her nose in where it's not wanted.

And now Ryan's getting involved when he shouldn't, and ranting to everyone who will listen. Sally is making a right meal of the tears and some are stupidly falling for it, and she is screeching at full volume.

Sally now screeching in the Diary Room to Big Brother, god help the person behind the mic who has to listen. Put a sock in it, Sally, the historonics are not fooling anyone

And it still rumbles on, with Kirstie and Ryan now throwing their tuppence worth. Sympathy for Ryan fast ebbing away, the way he is ranting on and on.

15 minutes left and it's STILL rumbling on, Gabby now venting in the Diary Room about Hardeep. It's not going to make much difference in a few minutes when he goes. Ryan now getting Hardeep's ear, and not for the first time. Settle your kettle, he will be gone soon and we can all move on.

And right on cue, he's announced as gone. Happy now, housemates? He's gone so break out the celebration bottles and Sally can do cartwheels around the room. She was obviously waiting for him to be booed, sorry to disappoint you, fraud.

Big Brother congratulates the final 6 on being finalists, not the final 6 I would have chosen. Hardeep deserved it more than the fraud, but he just wanted to get out of there and I don't blame him. He may have comes across in a creepy way, but he deserved to be there much more than that charlatan.

Sally predicts the final 3, hopefully she or Gabby will be out first on Monday.

Bedtime as we get ready to close possibly the final ever Saturday highlights, and too much excitement as the background music plays for a final time on a Saturday.

To be continued in Episode 25.....

Final thoughts

48 hours left of this series and possibly CBB as a whole....Not the final 6 most hoped for and way too much time spent on the R word debate. I know Big Brother is supposed be about issues of all sorts, , but that just felt a little uncomfortable with each of them tearing a strip off Hardeep, whether it be in public or in the Diary Room. Sally proving to be the charlatan most knew her to be when she turned on the waterworks, but it's not our fault some of them are too stupid to fall for it all. So it's goodbye to Hardeep, and we have our 6 finalists.

2 flirting floaters (Dan and Gabby)
One charlatan (Sally)
The should be winner (Kirstie)
The most likely winner (Ryan)
The man who has had his moments, but in all fairness and realistically won't win (Nick)

Me personally, would love Kirstie to win, but due to that 'incident' Ryan will probably take the crown

Anyways, thanks for reading if you have made it this far down the page and keep those RT's, likes and shares coming.

This blog will be back for Civilian. Will be back for BB20 later as with the Nominations recap, so look out for that and even if the UK version is lost for next year, I will be back for USA and Canada.

CBB UK Summer 2018 - Episode 23 - Itty Bitty Eviction, Hardeep v Sally

Here we are, citizens, last eviction before Vote to Win kicks on

Will the House Cook or the phoney psychic be shown the door as we hurtle towards the finale of possibly the final celebrity series on Five

Lights on, whoop whoop and take it away, Mrs Willis

She welcomes us in and previews tonight's events when as usual Hardeep is being picked at, and the housemates get a blast from the past, no I'm not talking about the ex housemates, more like those days when it cost a fortune to use the internet in the days long before broadband. She also tells us about a little sneak peek for Civilian

Into the house action we go, and Hardeep is snoring away. Gabby is feeling tired due to said snoring, not going to bother counting the picks against Hardeep in this one.

Kirstie and Sally are discussing the eviction, really hope she goes or her ego will go through the roof if Hardeep goes.

Nick and Hardeep are clearing the air after a disagreement in the last episode, basically to do with that game Big Brother laid out for them. Operation make them miserable before the final is in full effect I would say.

Back to Kirstie and Sally, and now they are talking about people sliding into their DM's and leaving X rated messages

The probable winner returns as in Ryan, and he gets a hero's welcome. Come on Kirstie, you can beat him on Monday.

Time for another letters from home easy task. That familiar modem sound from the past, oh boy did I run up some massive phone bills back in those days. In order:

Nick has to motivate housemates
Gabby has to do her own comedy roast about the housemates
Housemates have to have a 3 minute group hug
Hardeep and Sally debating why they should stay in the house
Dan must perform a strip tease

Kirstie tells us another one of her anecdotes, and how sghe had a gastro attack halfway down a highway.

When Gabby did her comedy roast, it is worth noting how they were all laughing their socks off, just imagine if Hardeep had done that roast as there would have been hell to pay. Hardeep was not happy with this particular roast. The rest of them say he can't take a joke, when they were equally unhappy when he did his roast. Bunch of hypocrites.

Sally with yet another dig at Hardeep in the Diary Room. What the eff has he ever done to you, you phoney. Gabby has another go at him during his and Sally's debate.

Why they are pushing Osbourne so hard this late is a mystery, that guy shouldn't even be in there let alone have a sniff of winning.

Big Brother informs them via the Bitty screen, they have passed today's task and Hardeep's, Kirstie's and Sally's letters from home will be delivered. Fast forward to the letters being read out. Violins ready, everyone.

Ryan is admiring Kirstie's hair. Meanwhile in the Diary Room, Hardeep says he thought his letter would be from his manager, rather than his parents. He gets emotional when he starts talking about his parents.

Dan and Ryan are talking about their children. Can't believe Dan is still there and in with a chance of winning. If he really cared about those kids he would be out here with them and trying to fix his marriage as well. Guess flirting with Gabby is more important. Kirstie says the lap dance from Dan was embarrassing, but Dan could make it as a Chippendale.

And right on cue Dan and Gabby are 'fooling around' in the very next scene.....

Kirstie with another anecdote, this time about her time on Cheers and Look Who's Talking

Emma gets an attack of the giggles as she announces the vote is closed, and now the civilian preview where we see various shots of the civilians and we get the full lowdown on Monday. Over to Rylan for a BOTS preview....

Eviction time

And Hardeep's luck finally runs out at the last hurdle.....

Crowd suddenly changes their tune as booing turns to chanting when the door opens

In his interview with Emma, he has a few digs at the show in this era and does ramble on a bit but he does speak the truth. This year excluded so far, Five has turned this show into the absolute pits.

After his interview Emma tells us about how it is now Vote to Win, the final of this series on Monday and also that the ex housemates will be going back into the house over the weekend, but it's not what we may expect

Final thoughts

So long Hardeep, shame you had to leave before the final. Would have taken you over Sally any day of the week. Underwhelming final 6, which the final 2 will probably be Kirstie and Ryan, with Ryan winning with the big sympathy vote in regards to that 'incident'. Hope Kirstie wins personally, but can't see it.

Thanks for reading if you have made it this far, and keep the RT's, likes, shares and comments coming in

CBB UK Summer 2018 - Episode 22 - The Housemates Court

Welcome everyone to another CBB UK recap as we move another step closer to the end of this series, and hasn't it flown by

Lights on for another day as the next eviction gets ever closer......

Gabby and Dan continue flirting, while Ryan is spending the day in the spare bedroom as he is apparently unwell. Discussion between Hardeep and Nick about this series coming to an end.

Sally and Kirstie are talking about their school days. Kirstie says her daughter had nits when she went to provate school, while Sally describes the various ways the nit nurse would go about her duty.

Hardeep is in the Diary Room telling us about how he wants to stay and be there to the end. He says that he doesn't think he has been as much of an a**e that he could have been, and that he knows Sally doesn't like him and he doesn't like her. Wait till you get out here, pal, definitely mixed opinion on you both.

Gabby thinks Hardeep made a back handed apology to her, and said he said it came out the wrong way. She definitely doesn't want to be within 100 feet of him when this series is over, what has she got against him? Seriously

Kirstie has been summoned to the Diary Room for a secret task, and this is the one where I personally thought this was going to be real outside contact, and one of my comments on Twitter appeared in The Sun newspaper, go me.....Anyways, back to the subject at hand, and Kirstie has been tasked with writing out fake tweets about the housemates, and they must work out who these 'tweets' are talking about. The housemates have to score 50% or more to pass this task.

Back to the flirting between Dan and Gabby, and they are talking about fruit. Not the brightest these two, as they don't know their basic fruits.

Nick speculates there could be a surprise eviction on the Saturday. Doubt it, Nick, given the rumours about most of your ex housemates coming back over the weekend. Personally hope it's not true, and they are left to just enjoy themselves without the likes of Foghorn Nunn running her mouth about the outside.

Back to Gabby and Dan, and talk has now turned to the next eviction. Gabby thinks Hardeep (or Harvey as she has just called him) will stay and Sally will go. Dan is under the impression the public love Sally. Gabby said some doughnut kept her awake, wonder who that may be.

Back to today's task, and Kirstie's fake tweets are displayed on the screen, and remember 50% or more must be scored for them to pass.

Just imagine if Hardeep had done this task, they would be lynching him, but as it's Kirstie it is funny and cool......

Big Brother informs them they scored 9 out of 10 and have passed the task, and they will get some outdoor games as a reward. They did not work out it was Kirstie.

Dan. Nick and Gabby are in the kitchen preparing a meal, nothing to be seen here. Back to Sally and Kirstie, and they are talking about Ryan. He can be seen in the spare bedroom sleeping off this so called illness.

Kirstie is making a mixed drink called American Dream, while today's task is playing on Gabby's mind. She tells us she has had previous experiences with trolls. Boo hoo, who hasn't had a troll problem, you are not the only one. The task was only a bit of fun, Gabby, just seriously lighten up.

Off to the garden games we go, and Twister is being played. A very painful game if I do say so myself. Everybody is getting along for now.

Hardeep has the eviction on his mind, and tells Nick he wants to stay. He points to Nick that Sally doesn't like him. Sally thinks Hardeep wants to stay, and then thinks he is changing and is wary of her. Holy understatement, Sally, as you have done nothing but stick the knife in when his back is turned.

Big Brother has thrown in a topical game, these always end well by the way if you have watched the show in this particular era. Won't go into the topics as they would take all night, but as usual it's pick on Hardeep as soon as he speaks up on the topics. Nuff said.

The now customary Hardeep bitch fest continues from Gabby and Dan. Hardeep is in the Diary Room, saying he has controversial views. Meanwhile in the bedroom, Sally is as usual twisting the knife about him, hasn't it dawned on these people the more they pick at Hardeep the more the viewers will side with him. Shut the eff up Sally.

To be continued in episode 23, which will see Sally or Hardeep be evicted and it is the FINAL eviction of this series before Vote to Win kicks in.

Final thoughts

Time to get Sally out of there, and see the look on their faces when Hardeep becomes a finalist. Apparently over the weekend, the ex housemates who have been evicted are going back in, but that is still to be confirmed. Emma has said that we can expect a little preview of Civilian at the end of the eviction show. Truly was the housemates versus Hardeep in that episode, not the most thrilling episode of this series but since the rest has been top class, think we can let the odd duff one slip through the net from time to time and it is usually a bit boring when we get to the final few episodes anyway. Just hope that ex housemates rumour is not true, as I would love for them to have a happy final few days in there, and not the usual batch of misery that accompanies the final week.

On that note. thanks for reading if you have made it this far, and please keep those RT's, like, shares and comments coming in

Big Brother USA 2018 - Episode 31 - Power of Veto 10

  • HoH - Tyler
  • Nominated pre-Veto: Haleigh and Scottie
Level 6 cruising through another week, and this Veto does feel particularly pointless as another member of the other side of the house will go this week, no matter what happens in the next Veto competition

Tonight's action

May as well get straight down to business, as we pick up the action straight after the Veto competition

Haleigh nor Scottie not particularly surprised they are on the block, and Tyler thinks Haleigh is the bigger threat going forward as she had the cajones to put him on the block, when she was one of the two Big Brother hackers. Seems to be a split opinion on who should go, some want to send Scottie and the rest Haleigh. Think this may just rumble into the eviction episode.

Haleigh wants to get in Tyler's head to see who his real target is, he tells her he doesn't know. She eventually decides to give up as he doesn't give her a straight answer and decides to just win the Veto.

JC the so called little mastermind, really thinks Tyler is loyal to him. Seriously. Oh boy the fall to earth for him is going to be immense. Hopefully they can get him up and out of there sooner rather than later. Tyler is onto JC so the fall is imminent.

Now for Tyler to get his hair straightened via Sam, who has been a hairdresser since 2009. The end result, hmmmmm, think the words are 'less said the better'. Tyler lets loose an expletive and who can blame him. What have you done to him, Sam? Meant in a humorous way of course ;)

Now we get the episodic Tyler/Angela will they won't they showmance, could this be the chink everybody left needs if it distracts Tyler too much. Time will give us that answer.

Veto player picks

As you by now know, the HoH (Tyler) and the 2 nominees (Haleigh and Scottie) will play automatically, and the other 3 are selected by random draw. 8 left, 2 will miss out.

The other players drawn are KAYCEE, SAM (houseguests choice) and JC

Haleigh is unsure if she can trust anybody to take her off the block, so as before decides the Veto is a must win for her. Which it is, but it would only delay her departure by a week if she either wins Veto or Scottie leaves this week

Sam is feeling irritable from trying to give up smoking, think she just wants to get out of there. We get a few clips of her going a bit fussy in the house.

Veto competition

Control your Emoji is this week's competition, and here is how it works. Competitors must take their emojis, as in plastic balls, from one side of their seesaw to the other and place them in a tray. If any of the emoji's fall off the tray then that player must start from scratch. The first houseguest to get all their emoji's on their seesaw's tray and pushes their buzzer, they will win the Veto. No penalties or bonus prizes in this game. READY? AND WE'RE OFF....

Surprisingly JC does very well at this game, but everyone screws up at least once and after much restarting and more restarting after that, KAYCEE comes away with the win and claims the Veto

More discussion between Haleigh and Tyler about if she is the real target, and STILL he doesn't give her a straight answer. Yes or no, Tyler, this is your last chance no more beating around the bush. Suddenly a light bulb goes up above Haleigh's head as Scottie lets slip he is being considered as the pawn, and it dawns on her she IS the real target. Kaycee is on hand to comfort Haleigh, although it's certain the Veto will not be used.

Veto ceremony

To no great shock, Kaycee does not use the Veto so it WILL be Haleigh or Scottie getting in the car to the jury house.

To be continued in Episode 33, Eviction 10

Final thoughts

Another week in the bag for Level 6, and whoever survives this week is bound to be up next week. Not the most thrilling episode this time around, as the Veto was basically pointless as one of the other side was doomed anyway. Very tough to call who will go though, as it may cause fractures within the dominant alliance whoever Julie announces as evicted, but then again the fractures will have to start appearing sometime once the other side of the house is wiped out completely.

Anyways, let's see what happens

Thank you for reading this post, and please be kind with the RT's, likes and shares. Leave comments if you like, as they are all very welcome.

CBB UK Summer 2018 - Episode 21 - A step into Killer Nominations

The final nominations of this series are upon us, citizens, as we hurtle towards saying goodbye to the celebrities, and hello to a fresh batch of civilians

Ah, the wonderful sound of Hardeep snoring before lights on in the house.....

Hardeep wondering if he was snoring too loud, and Gabby saying she didn't sleep too well. Can't think why, but another excuse for the younger ones to have a pick at Hardeep I suppose.

The subject of bunions crops up again, as Hardeep wonders if its a personal matter. In case you didn't see yesterday's post, Ryan had a go at Hardeep for 'disrespecting' Sally, as Sally told him Hardeep had mentioned her bunions.

Dan, the same guy who claims he is missing his wife and kids, flirts with Gabby in the kitchen as they wash the dishes together.

Hardeep talks about Ryan in the Diary Room, bunion-gate is brought up and Hardeep thinks Ryan let Sally play him. He can't see how she could have been offended by the bunions comment. He starts crying and alludes to Big Brother being his friend rather than the other housemates.

Ryan is feeling poorly, oh my heart bleeds. I think it's more a case of 'I have damaged my chances of winning this after last night' and he's just sulking. Gabby is talking about Hardeep, no surprise there. At least he's doing SOMETHING to merit still being in there, Gabby, unlike you who is doing NOTHING. Sally not helping matters in this situation by twisting the knife a bit into Hardeep.

Kirstie is telling Big Brother about Ryan being 'ill'....He's not ill, Kirstie, he's sulking. Meanwhile, Hardeep and Gabby are talking about soft furnishings. The same Gabby who only said a few minutes earlier, that he makes her feel uncomfortable. So two faced some of these people, but I guess any sort of airtime is helpful at this stage of the show, eh Gabby.

Dan is summoned to the Diary Room as part of a secret mission. Big Brother tells him to gather everyone around the dining table once they call Nick to the Diary Room. One of those twist within a twist secret missions.

Shortly afterwards Big Brother calls Nick to the Diary Room, cue Dan gathering everyone around the dining room table to do his part for the secret mission. As a diversion, Nick is told there is an issue with his mic pack, as Dan rounds everyone up. Dan reads out their instructions in that Nick has had a secret pedometer attached, and they have to get him to take as many steps as possible.

1500 steps or more: Nick gets his letter from home

The reward for them will be better the more steps Nick takes

Hardeep nearly gives the game away, and even admits doing to so in the Diary Room to which Big Brother reminds him that subtlety is the key.

After more stepping out, Big Brother reveals the task and the result was 6,767 or thereabouts steps so rewards all round for everyone. This includes gym equipment and Nick's letter from home amongst other things.

Before the Killer Nominations, Nick has his letter from home read out. Guess they have to fill out the time somehow. Usual tears all round but thankfully none of that cheesy music they play.

And so we move onto the main event of the evening as in Killer Nominations, housemates only have to give one name and that person will be on the block. I would assume that it will be Hardeep v someone else, who that is will be revealed in due course

Dan

Hardeep

Reason: I love the man to bits and I think he's great, but I just think there's a lot of little arguments or digs, there's been a couple towards me, Gabby, Sally, some to Ryan, some to a bit of everyone, he has his little snaps. I don't mind if it's at me because I'll say something back, but a lot of the people in here won't, and they don't say it, so it makes me feel a bit uneasy and a bit uncomfortable and I don't like seeing it.

Gabby

Hardeep

Reason: Last night at the party, he made a comment about what I was wearing, and as a young girl anyway, it made me feel uncomfortable. And that really actually put me off him because I was just like 'you tell me every five minutes that I'm your favourite person, but then you want to embarrass me like that in front of people?'. It was just unnecessary.

Hardeep

Sally

Reason: She's been rather rude to me on a number of occasions, and last night I felt she played me, intentionally dropping me in it with Ryan over a discussion about bunions. I could be completely wrong and I could have been rude to her, but it felt to me like there was some intent on her part to mix things up so that would be the reason why.

Kirstie

Hardeep

Reason: He will say something that is inappropriate to someone, meaning inappropriate like mean, or a diss, and then immediately leave the space. If you want to give someone a diss, then stand right in front of their face and then give it to them and see what they have to say, or maybe they'll punch you, I don't know what they'll do. But I don't like the hit-and-run situation. Those are my reasons.

Nick

Sally

Reason: There was a situation last night about a comment between Hardeep and Sally which was then relayed to Ryan and led to a situation. I think it was taken out of context and deliberately so.

Ryan

Hardeep

Reason: He doesn't think before he speaks. I think socially he can get it wrong sometimes and that becomes a little issue for me in a house like this, but I know deep down that he's got a good heart, just got a funny way of showing it sometimes.

Sally

Hardeep

Reason: His sentences are always punctuated with bad language, and very often it's unneccessary. One of the housemates, she's a young girl, and I just don't think it's appropriate. It's not just the f-word, and I just find it unneccesary, so that's the reason that I feel I have to nominate Hardeep.

Facing the next public vote will be HARDEEP and SALLY

Back to house action, Kirstie admits to Hardeep she did watch Star Trek. Nothing wrong with that, I am a self confessed Trekkie myself and love the original series and Next Generation. Big love for Star Wars as well.

Gabby has a bee in her bonnet about Hardeep saying he embarrasses everyone, and a few minutes later SHE is crying. Hardeep rightly says she can give it out but she can't take it and the truth sometimes hurts.

Get over yourself, Gabby, as he said truth hurts. What have you and the younger ones got against him?

Dan doing a white knight act now, why the hell is he sticking up for her. It's got nothing to do with him. Nick is now slowly turning against Hardeep, saying he has given him the benefit of the doubt until now.

To close the show, Hardeep is trying to explain himself, and when he has done his best Gabby thinks he is being insincere.

Final thoughts

The young ones v Hardeep sums that episode up to a tee. Gabby in particular being particularly prickly towards the man tonight. Damned if he does speak, damned if he doesn't he can't win in there with the young ones. Wouldn't their faces be a picture if he somehow goes onto win this.

Anyways, thank you for reading if you have made it this far and keep those RT's, likes, shares and comments coming.

Shout out to Big Brother Radio and BB on Blast if you haven't listened to their latest podcasts which are available here and here

Big Brother USA 2018 - Episode 30 - HoH and nominations 10

Outgoing HoH - Angela

Evicted - Faysal (4-1)

Battle back winner - Scottie

Tonight.....

JC is a mastermind edit tonight it would seem, when he's really not. Will be a pleasure when those Level 6 knives find their way into his little back

Opening credits tonight, and we pick up the action after Scottie has gone back into the house, and will probably only be a brief stay with Level 6 looking to send him or Haleigh out

Scottie is very happy to be back, and who can blame him, but knows Level 6 will see him as a big threat. JC is none too pleased to see him back, as JC seems to be taking the credit for getting Scottie out in the first place.

Haleigh says she is heartbroken that Faysal is gone. You can do a lot better than him, Haleigh.

Brett is hoping it is a physical competition like bench pressing or throwing beer kegs for the HoH competition.

JC continues to get in Level 6's ear about winning HoH, oh boy his little face will be a picture when they cut him good and proper.

HoH competition

Usual rules, outgoing HoH in this case Angela is not eligible to play. A very crucial competition for Haleigh and Scottie, as if they don't win this one Level 6 will put them on the block without a second thought. It's endurance for this competition, and basically the houseguests, except Angela, have to hang onto a rope while going round in a circle. Along the way there will be a collision with a huge cherry pie, not a real one of course, and it does pack quite a wallop should they crash into it also Big Brother will be throwing mustard, ketchup and feathers as well so will be quite amusing, if not a little dangerous along the way. READY? AND WE ARE OFF....

Order of elimination:

JC
Sam
Scottie
Brett
Kaycee
Haleigh

Winner and new HoH - TYLER

Another familiar pattern emerging this week, as in Level 6 picking off another one from the other side, as no prizes for guessing who Tyler will put up.

It should be noted that Haleigh took a pretty hard hit in this competition, but took it like a trooper so no need for medical assistance.

Next up after they have all cleaned up as in cleaned themselves off after that competition, Haleigh seems upset that Sam was not cheering for Tyler, but cheering against her. Along comes the so called little mastermind to plant some more seeds to get Haleigh and Sam against each other

Meanwhile Tyler and Angela's alleged showmance is being teased some more as they discuss putting up Haleigh and Scottie, perhaps as expected from most outside. Tyler is reluctant to commit to a showmance, so it doesn't distract from his game.

Staying with Level 6, Kaycee talks about coming out as gay to her parents which she breaks down with tears as she describes the exact moment it happened.

Haleigh knows she is going up, she asks Tyler who she will be going up against. She suggests Sam as she could be a bigger target. Scottie starts his doomed to fail plan to buddy up with Tyler.

Little mastermind or so he thinks as in JC now in Brett's ear and tries to plant more seeds to try and get Brett to turn against his alliance. Tyler is thankfully on to JC, so hopefully soon they can get to work on getting the little snake out in the open and send him to the jury house.

Nominations ceremony

Unsurprisingly, Haleigh and Scottie are nominated pre-Veto. Nuff said

To be continued in episode 31, Power of Veto 10, where it won't make much difference as the other side of the house will be down to one whatever happens.

Final thoughts

Bullshit edit where apparently JC is this really smart mastermind when he is not, given what has come out in the media lately about him and the way he is acting in the house. Very reliable source said it was put to the vote to keep him in amongst the producers and he had a stay of execution and will not be removed. Won't go into too much detail about what he has done in there as it is pretty disgusting, but hopefully soon he will be gone at the houseguests hands.

Another comfortable week coming for Level 6, as the Veto is just irrelevant whoever wins as the other side of the house will be down to one whatever happens and whoever survives this week is going to be going next week, and then it's Level 6 all the way to the end. It's amazing how dominant Level 6 have been this season, but then again the other side of the house have just made it so easy for Tyler and his little group.

That being said, thank you for reading if you have made it this far into the post, and keep the likes, RT's, shares and comments coming

CBB UK Summer 2018 - Episode 20 - Letters or No Letters

Another small step towards the end we go, and tonight sees Jermaine leave the house. We will also see letters from home, or at least some of them anyway and the main subject of the episode in some of them rounding on Hardeep.

Lights on in the house and off we go for a brand new day, and Big Brother is telling them to rise and shine.

Kirstie, Gabby and Sally are cleaning the kitchen, and there are some complaints about how filthy it is as there is food wastage all over the worktop. Sally is particularly vocal and insinuates Hardeep is being lazy.

Next up, everyone has been gathered around the dining table for today's task. Here's how it will work:

Big Brother challenges them to maintain a positive and professional image for the rest of the day. This will involve no swearing, no negativity towards each other, they are encouraged to give compliments to each other and just generally remain upbeat at all times. If they do this to Big Brother's satisfaction, then housemates will win a party for later in the evening.

The task begins almost immediately and they all start being 'nice' to each other, even if some of them do show it through gritted teeth.

Gabby says she stubbed her toe coming out of the bathroom with a big smile on her face, but remember they have to be nice as per the task

Hardeep is summoned to the Diary Room, and as part of today's task is given some accessories to put on his beard. We see some short clips where he walks around the house showing these accessories off to the other housemates. Remember, the housemates have to be nice.

Kirstie, meanwhile, has to 'endorse' a certain type of face mask which is made up of cheeses. Big Brother says she must tell everyone else how she would recommend the face mask to them.Think you get the picture by now that they have to be nice

Jermaine has to 'endorse' an aftershave called 'foreplay' which is made up of fish sauce, and he has to wear it throughout the day.

In the garden Ryan, Dan and Jermaine are feeling a little unwell. Enter Hardeep who is suggesting chicken for dinner. Hardeep insists he has cooked the chicken properly, and says it is something viral affecting the other 3. Hardeep is hammering the chicken in the kitchen.

Time for letters from home, and Sally is given the task of finding the housemates letters from home.

12 sealed boxes, letters from home, just one question, Letters or no Letters. 8 of the boxes contain letters, 4 letters contain red X's. If Sally finds 3 of the X's, all the letters she has found will be lost automatically and this part of the task is failed. Who are we kidding, we know they will get their letters anyway at a later time even if they don't get them in this task, and if they are still in there near the end.

Box 2 - Hardeep
Box 5 - X
Box 9 - Gabby
Box 7 - Ryan
Box 12 - Dan
Box 1 - X
Box 11 - X

All letters lost, but we know they won't be....

Sally says she feels dreadful, and wants to do something to make sure they do get the letters

Surely if these people have watched this show before, they WILL get their letters. Chill out housemates, it's not the end of the world.

And as if by magic, Big Brother conjures something else up to make sure some of them get their letters. Housemates have to pitch their own suggestion to which 3 housemates should get their letters.

Of course Ryan is picked to no great surprise, Dan's name crops up as well along with Gabby so they are the 3 names who will receive their letters

And the usual flood of tears as the 3 letters are read out, they've been on longer holidays than this and will be seeing these people anyway in a few days time if not sooner.

Can't say I agree with Dan being chosen, he has really respected his wife and kids hasn't he by constantly flirting with Gabby in there. Ryan was no shock as there are still shockwaves around THAT 'incident', and Gabby is just there really and not done anything of note.

Party time as they have passed the task, little do they know they are about to be crashed by a very familiar voice

They are allowed to hear the RYAN chants as Jermaine is announced as evicted, as outside contact has been minimal this series, I am prepared to let this one slide so moving swiftly on......

Hardeep is the talk of the house, as Sally points out she wouldn't want to be up against him in a public vote. Dan complains that Hardeep apparently doesn't care and doesn't even want to be in there and he apparently doesn't give a shit that Jermaine is gone. You shouldn't even be in there at all, pal, and don't forget if you are missing Jacqueline and the kids so much why aren't you out there with them, you know trying to save your marriage, and not flirting every chance you get with Gabby.

In the bedroom, Sally and Ryan are talking about Hardeep, who else......She is basically telling Ryan about Hardeep's earlier comment about her bunions, something which Ryan takes literally as 'disrespectful'

At this point, Ryan storms off unnecessarily to Hardeep to confront him about said comment and accuses Hardeep of being 'disrespectful'. Ryan has let that chanting go to his head, and he above all should know the dangers of labels in that house as he just had a shedload of them to deal with. Could he throw it all away at the death?

He seems to be throwing it away as he is really laying into Hardeep over something really trivial

To be continued in Episode 21, and coming up it's Killer Nominations which will be elaborated on in the next recap

Final thoughts

Ryan undoing all that sympathy in a matter of minutes with Hardeep. Has he forgotten that the mob's reaction means diddly squat as that's only a very small portion of the audience out there in the compound. May have done his chances of winning a lot of damage and really needs to button it. Hardeep is still there, so he must be doing something right although he does tend to go up against people more loathed. Will be interesting to see what these killer nominations will rustle up as it's obvious Hardeep will be on the block AGAIN, just a matter of seeing who will join him.
