House of Time summary and thoughts (BBUK 2026)

Good day, citizens, as House of Time is rolled out on the housemates, and boy it has been one of those weeks
  • Outside contact (although that didn't turn out quite as bad as first thought)
  • Omar and Rhianna
  • The nasty party avoiding the chopping block, although the evictee wasn't all that bad in the end
The list is endless....

So Rob's gone and Yasmin got massive cheers, hope that doesn't go too much to her head. Meanwhile the nasty party are at it again with them speculating Catrin was putting on the tears a bit too much. These three really need to be broken up and soon. Speaking of Catrin, she admitted to Lynx that she was fed up of the cliquey behaviour, and was fed up of the nasty behaviour. Reality check, Catrin, you do know what show you were getting into when you signed up? Not that I am condoning the nasty party's behaviour of course.

Anyway, after Twinks made reference to a hierarchy, it didn't exactly go down well with Philip, and like a bull in a china shop, had a major go at Twinks as in getting in her face and pointing his finger at her. Surprised BB didn't call him in and remind him of his future conduct. Yes, this did set Catrin off again once Philip had finished with her, causing her to retreat to the Diary Room and asking to leave to which BB declined.

The next day, Twinks was then asking to leave which was also declined. Back in the house Samuel told Twinks the house wouldn't be the same without her.

So begins the most tedious theme so far, with the House of Time being rolled out with the ultimate prize being time being accumulated through various 10p challenges so they can talk to their friends and family at the end of the week.

Rochelle, Lynx and Frankie were up first, will keep these brief as they were that tedious.

First attempt - +10 seconds
Second and third attempt - -5 seconds

Score after challenge 1 - No change, everyone still on 30 seconds

Philip still had his anti Twinks face on saying he couldn't trust her and told Lynx he could never be friends with her. Suit yourself, pal, I'm sure she'll cry herself to sleep. Rhianna said in the Diary Room she missed Rob's singing, although would have preferred Twinks to leave. Sorry to disappoint, Rhianna.

Speaking of Rhianna, more tedious talk of the nomance first with Yasmin and then with the man himself. Moving swiftly on....

Staying with Yasmin, as she was feeling the pangs of hunger due to being one of the housemates on basic rations and was tempted to eat the cheese in the fridge. Right, whatever

So, Twinks is unpacking and after the drama in the Diary Room earlier, decided to stay and discussed Philip and Rochelle with Catrin, and the various reactions when Twinks and Catrin first went in

A game of Paranoia has now begun with housemates asking questions and named the housemate who fitted the answer

Most annoying - Rochelle
Most performative - Philip
Most annoying, according to Rhianna - Twinks
Most unhygenic, according to Rhianna - Yasmin

Which did not go down too well with Yasmin, and she stormed off to have a shower, or 'performative shower' in her own words

What a drag of an episode...... Surely it can only get better

Time for another challenge, and the housemates became speaking clocks. To cut a long story short, Twinks two answers were incorrect, along with Samuel's, while Rochelle and Rhianna's answers were correct taking everyone's overall time to a mind boggling 35 seconds.

Twinks was then called to the Diary Room and offered an additional 30 seconds to her clock, if she agreed to have the hot water turned off for everyone. An offer that was declined by her, however Rhianna was next in and almost immediately said yes to the same offer. Make of that what you will.

Doesn't take a genius to work out the big pile of poo Twinks would have got had she said yes, but because Rhianna did say yes it's all wine and roses and laughter.

Next up, Philip, 30 seconds for him if he removed the beauty appliances for 48 hours....Duly obliged.

Basically the rest of this episode was taken up with the nomance, most noticeably with Omar behaving like a total jerk and shitbag with his controlling behaviour

Catrin and Twinks tried to comfort Rhianna in regards to Omar's behaviour. Will she listen, is anybody's guess. Talk then turned to the hierarchy and hot water situations. A little later on, BB called Rhianna to the Diary Room just for a little check up, but she was back with Omar and he was still being a jerk.

The next day, and indeed back with the nomance (yawnaroonie) Omar was in the Diary Room saying he was not perfect, and missing the way things were before. Rhianna, meanwhile. In a false moment, Philip apologised to Twinks, that guy has more faces than a clock, no pun intended.

Back to the tedious challenges and temptations, Catrin was offered 30 seconds in exchange for the kettle getting removed. Wow, that's really going to hurt them, just boil some water in a saucepan.

Oh look another argument, and yes it involves the nomance , and Omar had a few choice words for Rhianna and accused her of essentially giving him a bad name. But lo and behold they made up, but the tension was there for all to see.

Yawn, a nominations twist yet again, but this one is so overly complicated that we would be here for ages trying to decipher it. To cut things short, all of the nasty party avoided being on the chopping block, which didn't go down too well anywhere. Facing the public vote would be Harry, Catrin, Twinks and Samuel.

Samuel had his usual tantrum, with a mix of Kathreya and 'how dare they nominate me' thrown in. Did he seriously think he was going to cruise through, which to be frank most of these blokes have been doing up to this point. Now Twinks has another chance for 30 seconds by relegating someone on luxury budget to basic rations, only one person although Twinks wanted to relegate two. She chose Rochelle.

Cue a rant from Rochelle to Philip and Rhianna, such a vicious trio.....

After a conversation with the man with many faces (Philip to you and me), Twinks went to Omar to discuss his use of language to which Omar shrugged off....

Catrin was still struggling with being nominated, welcome to Big Brother, Catrin. Yasmin was getting fed up with the atmopshere, and that being nominated was part of the experience. That's coming from someone who didn't take her nomination too well, just saying. Once the dust settled, the nominated four had a giggle, but also were frustrated being on the vulnerable side of the house.

The nominated ones were trying to find ways to lift spirits, Samuel vowed to keep fighting while Yasmin tried to cheer up Catrin amongst other things. Back to the nomance once again, Omar asked if he was toxic, to which BB didn't answer. Sort of sums it up really....

Rochelle was then offered 30 seconds to her time, by choosing to handcuff 2 housemates together for 24 hours. Needless to say, she agreed and chose Twinks and Samuel. Rhianna agreed they could use her double bed, but as usual there was tension with Rochelle showing her satisfaction, and teased detaching so Rochelle wouldn't get her extra 30 seconds.

Yasmin was in tears over being on basic rations, my heart bleeds.... Just get on with things, Yasmin. The kettles were returned, oh I'm sure they suffered without them. A house intruder made their presence known, even if only briefly, in the shape of a spider which produced screaming and laughter before being scooped up and deposited outside. Think that spider had a lucky escape from this house.

On to the next challenge which this time involved Catrin and Harry, in which each correct round would give each housemate 10 seconds each. Needless to say they blitzed it, adding 30 seconds for everyone.

Omar has been summoned to the Diary Room, and is given a talking to about his future conduct concerning his language and behaviour towards everyone.

In the Snug, Omar and Rhianna (who else) went round in circles yet again with hardly anything being resolved... In lighter action, the appliances were returned, and the four nominees practised their spiels for Friday. Rochelle, for reasons of her own, refused to say thank you to Twinks and Samuel for being good sports about the handcuff business.

Handcuffs finally off the next day, as we shoot towards the next Cbeebies shopping task which will take place in 3 time periods. Not one of the more memorable shopping tasks I may add.

Egyptian, the 80's and Prehistoric were the eras they were faced with

Egyptian - Had to connect pipes and transfer milk to Queen Rhianna's bath (failed), and then had to wrap Samuel in bandages (so-so)

Prehistoric - Passed their only task of drawing house expressions on a wall

The 80's - Aerobics and rewinding 6 cassettes with giant pencils and identifying the songs and artists that were played. 'passed' in quotes as they really messed up the second part

Cue yet another Nikki impersonation and threat to leave from Rochelle when the housemates were given a prehistoric dinner. Well go then, the door is right there, you ungrateful....

In one of the more dubious shopping task results, they passed and got a luxury budget, and an extra 90 seconds each in their time banks.

And still Twinks waited for a thank you from Rochelle regarding the handcuffs.....

Party time followed, and in the Diary Room Samuel proclaimed the hierarchy would fall and wanted to be there to see it. Philip confessed he was getting fed up of Rochelle sticking to him, and some pillow fighting was to end proceedings for that day. Did that feel like a waste of a day or what? They were never going to fail that shopping task given the extra prize they were given, and they would have probably got that 90 seconds in an easy task even if they had failed.

Anyway, a mixed eviction night rolls around with the crowd totally out of sync with that woop woop, and boy did we need an interpreter most of the night with their chanting....

Twinks was still smarting from no thank you from Rochelle, while the other nominees were quietly going about their business before we moved on to the main order of business, as in the mass outside contact and information about to hit the house.

Housemates were told they were not to respond to their friends and families, or there would be severe penalties... Wonder if anyone will test BB on that, let us all find out

Samuel - His dad told him to take the hierarchy down and make the peasants revolt
Catrin - Her mum told her everyone was proud and to keep on going
Frankie - She expected him to bring those new cleaning habits home with him
Harry - His sister corrected him on a few things such as mathematician and tadpoles
Omar - Friend reminded him he was not there for love and that people were watching
Twinks - Her partner said her friends and family were proud of her, and told her she could win
Lynx - His mother told him about his cooking
Philip - Spend less time in bed and start mixing
Yasmin - Was loved and supported, and a humorous warning about her language
Rhianna - Basically a hidden warning about Omar
Rochelle - Watch out for Philip, and be kinder to everyone

Just the jist of things said, and Twinks did get her thank you from Rochelle. Rhianna mulled over what her sister said to her in regards to Omar

Really hope this is not leading to a Rochelle redemption arc, as she gushes in the Diary Room and says she would try to be nicer. Sorry, the damage is already done, and some people will NOT forgive.

Moving swiftly on to the eviction, and it is HARRY who is 6th to leave. So different to how he was in the house, where was this Harry hiding all series? Anyway, the show wraps up after his interview with conformation that Tiffany Pollard will be pitching up at some point, and that the next theme is House of Horror. Predictable I guess, given Halloween is coming up pretty fast.

As for the Time theme, a lowly 4.5 out of 10 eyes.... Hopefully House of Horror will be a massive improvement, and am expecting yet another nominations twist but hopefully we can finally start chipping away at the hierarchy before it's too late

Anyway, the usual shout out for BB on Blast and their content right here

Until next time, keep on rocking and have a Happy and indeed safe Halloween if you celebrate....
