Another glorious week on planet Big Brother, or was it?
The house entered the House of Nothing phase, and boy did it feel pointless but still we did have a very miniscule break from more arguing
So where to start, oh yes, straight to Chelsey's eviction where they had heard the boos from the baying mob, and Lynx had said he was sad to lose someone close to him. Oh come on dude you only knew her two weeks, a little premature to say you were close to her. Personally glad she's gone, one showmance down and one more to go with Omar and Rhianna, who will no doubt be shoved down our throats until one of them goes which hopefully be soon.
Omar, tactless as ever, decided to tell Rhianna he liked her, oh please..... She wouldn't touch you with a ten foot barge pole on the outside. She's just biding her time for Omar, and no doubt we will have that particular pursuit shoved down our throats, lucky us eh?
The edit in its usual way, was chipping away at Pauline, getting her downfall ready when she was in the Diary Room saying take your best shot at me or words to that effect.....
So begins the House of Nothing as we head into the Saturday highlights, and they wake up to find the house completely devoid, as everything was gone and to cut a long story short for this week they had to win it all back through a series of CBeebies type tasks which offer no challenge whatsoever. So let's get started.....
In a brief blessed relief they had lost their voices, and this was the first task, to win them back
Well it didn't last long, as Big Brother called one Housemate to the Diary Room and the recipient of the first scroll was Yasmin, and could choose two more housemates to get their voices back and she chose Frankie and Charlotte. A little while later Johanne got her voice back, and then Rhianna got hers back via an obstacle course followed by the others. Pretty much pointless, as they are going to get everything back anyway
I do wonder if they had a celebrity drop out, and this was a back up plan....
Next up they got their fridge back, as Rhianna and Omar correctly guessed 30 items they had in the fridge before it was swiped. However it did raise the issue about Pauline's organic food. Spoons were next to return, albeit 7 of them after 7 housemates balanced spoons on their noses. Meanwhile Pauline was talking to Johanne about her yoghurts and coconut water, and it was revealed that Rochelle was taking about the organic food while Pauline was out of the room.
Make of it what you will, but the edit isn't going in those two's favour, if only we had something live to watch to understand the true context.....
Meanwhile, Charlotte wanted to leave due to having enough of this task, and talking about giving this experience her best shot and gone as far as she could. Needless to say she got her wish that night as Big Brother granted her wish and she went on her merry way. I certainly don't mean to be rude, but surely she knew what she was getting into when she signed up..... 'nuff said
And off we go, I hate it when this particular subject about the R word pops up, anyway Rochelle misheard the conversation thinking it was about her and things quickly escalated, resulting in Johanne being called to the Diary Room to cool down, and that was the end of that episode
The very next day, the smell of napalm was still in the air after the night before.....
Rochelle and Johanne's latest argument was being discussed by Omar and Lynx, while Philip and Yasmin were saying how Rhianna was upset.... Didn't know they cared
With great reluctance back to the R word conversation, and Pauline was saying she and Johanne didn't call Rhianna racist, and then later on Rochelle was in the Diary Room saying how the personal things upset her. In a turn of tone, Frankie was next in the Diary Room asking for his toothbrush and then Lynx say morale was low due to nothing to do. That's the whole point of Big Brother, you stupid Love Island wannabe, find stuff to do instead of sitting around doing nothing. I bet as soon as you get a party and treats, you'll soon perk up.
Harry (sorry, who?) got a mission to teach the housemates a knife, fork and spoon pose. Basically when BB played a clinking sound the housemates each had to form one of the 3 poses. The prize was getting their cutlery back, to which they obviously passed.
Yasmin was then practically breaking down the Diary Room door, whining about this week's theme and when it was going to end. One bit of economy budget and they go up the wall, doesn't she know she'll get parties and treats most of the time anyway. Just tough it out..... Hot water and food then returned when Samuel and Lynx won another challenge and housemates guessing to the nearest hour how long the hot tub had been used. This is taking the piss how easy these challenges are, just my opinion.
Back to Pauline and her organic food, saying the meal prepared was not organic. Riveting stuff and yet again another attempt by the edit to get her ready for eviction. Frankie then pulled down a barrier in response to not getting his toothbrush. You can always follow Charlotte out the door, pal, nobody's holding a gun to your head.
Have to say I do like this alarm, they should keep it post Nothing week, less chance of them performing to the cameras to start the day.
Anyway, Rochelle complaining as usual, while the napalm from the R word argument was still in the air. Frankie got a telling off for messing with fixtures and fittings.
Back to the Cbeebies show, and next up Frankie, Lynx, Omar, Rhianna, Pauline and Rob were given the challenge of building furniture and only an hour to dot. Riveting stuff again, Rochelle got the chair up after 30 minutes and then the table and bed followed. But they have to wait for the sofas, as that was not done in time.
Cue a tantrum from Rochelle, who thought her silk pillow was stolen by BB when in fact it was in the bedroom all the time. I do wish BB would stop indulging her when she goes off on one like this. Sooner she's gone the better I would like it, it's not entertaining and very repetitive.
In other challenges, Johanne got the vanity table back and in a big pile of poo stirring challenge Philip and that unknown entity known as Harry, they had to pick 8 put of 12 housemates to give suitcases back. They settled on Philip, Rochelle, Rhianna, Johanne, Pauline, Rob, Frankie and Samuel.... Leaving Yasmin, Harry, Omar and Lynx without their belongings.
Think I'll leave that day there, my intelligent circuits seem to have melted given the way this week is going so far.
Another day, and more nominations meddling, what has happened to the days when it was all housemates in the Diary Room one by one, give two names and out again... Oh yes, and the first inklings of a possible Omar and Rhianna showmance when she told us and BB how he had helped her through the early days of the task and cooked her food.
Back to nominations, and it was decided that Omar, Pauline and Samuel would not nominate and to cut a long story short, Johanne and Rochelle were announced later as facing the public vote. A choice, that while not unexpected, did not go down well in many places.
Before that announcement though, not content with one security breach regarding tennis balls it happened again with more possible outside information, such as Philip and Rochelle were favourites to win (what a revolting thought). The fact that it took BB so long to call them in after they had a good look at the messages speaks volumes about who is responsible. They had all the time in the world to get a net over the garden the first time it happened and they didn't, producers or public YOU decide....
Johanne takes the honour of the first formal warning of this series, due to the argument in the task room earlier in the day. Yet they show her formal warning, and yet Rochelle can get away with whatever she wants.... Make it make sense.
Thankfully a light hearted episode for a change, with it centered around being Lynx's birthday and he had an unfailable secret mission which he passed and the rest got their belongings back along, and another easy task where they got the sofas back.
I suppose there was a little tension when Rob jumped on the dining room table and did one of his usual performances, but that was about as memorable as it got for this episode
So, onto the final day of the House of Nothing, and a very feral crowd await Johanne or Rochelle
Much too tough to call this one, for me Rochelle out, but the betting odds are telling a different story
Back to the episode, and Omar and Pauline have been selected to play 'Million Pound Shop', if you are up on your quizzes you will know how this works.... After a while they manage to secure the luxury budget to much disappointment to some viewers. I would love to see them on economy, even it would have been only temporary.
On to some pointless segment about Prosecco going missing, nah don't care
Now for the main event of the evening, as in who will be next to leave
Please do not swurrrr and all that, and, perhaps to no surprise, the next to leave is JOHANNE. At least she didn't waste time going and have BB tell her to leave. Kind of disappointed, although it will make Rochelle think she's bulletproof. Think Johanne's interview will keep OFCOM busy for a while, until those people find something else to complain about
And that's House of Nothing over with, a very pointless exercise and Johanne gone, but wait.....
House of Revelations up next, and also two new housemates, and guess what ONE OF THEM IS WELSH... Woop woop
Just an Irish housemate now to complete the set, although I think this may be it for the class of 2026.
Welcome to Catrin from Aberdare, and Twinks from East London. The look on Rhianna's face, thinking she may have some future competition for Lynx's affections should she choose to go down that route.
In a surprising way, they were both straight in there with no twists or secret missions, although it's very early yet. Looking forward to the coming week to see what this theme brings, and I don't mean a bucketload of outside information every other day but given the theme.....
Anyway, think House of Nothing can be classed in the 'less said the better' category and it comes with a 6.5 out of 10 eyes rating. Not great or good just average
Bring on House of Revelations and whatever it may entail
Until next time, keep on rocking.....
