Big Brother Canada 2019 - Episode 14 - Eviction and Blood Veto conclusion

Another week draws to a close, and it's the week before jury starts

Either Kiera or Mark will be evicted from the house, and we finally find out tonight what the Blood Veto will entail

Outgoing HoH - Samantha
Nominated pre Veto - Kiera and Mark
Veto winner - Adam

Adam chose not to use the Veto, so nominations stay the same depending on what the Blood Veto entails.

We pick up the action from where Kyra was summoned to the Diary Room to find out the full extent of the Blood Veto details.....

What we know already is that they are immune from this eviction, and couldn't be nominated or play in the Veto. But then we find out:

The holder of the Blood Veto will have the power, should they choose to use it, to veto this eviction and send the other person who was not evicted out the door. This power can only be used for this week. This particular power cannot be revealed to the other houseguests until it is time to use it.

Kyra has already said they may not use it, I know I would if Kiera was evicted and it would chip away at the not so Pretty Boys. But I'm not Kyra and we will find out later to see if they use it or not.

Kyra says they did what they had to do to get the power, like what? Talk everyone to death and lay it on really thick. The least deserving person in the house with the worse gameplay ever. They tell Mark they can't discuss the actual power, but tells him they are good, to which Mark says everyone is freaking out.

Samantha is liking the fact that Kyra has the Blood Veto, as she reckons she and Kyra are tight. I don't think so, Samantha. Have you not noticed how Kyra leeches onto every HoH as soon as they are in power? Meanwhile, he showmance partner in crime, Adam, says he would be heartbroken if he left on Samantha's watch. This power really has them rattled doesn't it

Sam tells Kyra not to give Kiera anything, and Kyra repeats that they can't talk about this power. Meanwhile, Kiera says that she has to be careful about what she says in terms of campaigning to stay in as she doesn't know the full extent of the Blood Veto.

Kyra is in the backyard contemplating their next move in terms of the Blood Veto. Where do the votes fall, do they get blood on their hands, or just opt to keep the peace and not use it?

Pointless filler ahead, but then again we have to have something to put in between the Blood Veto talk, starting with an oh so hilarious moment where Kyra forgot a towel. Next up Cory is sitting on Anthony's back which he compares to a back massage. Yes this really happening, folks.

Anthony says he could go really far into the game with Cory. He says she is very loyal and will see just how far she and him could go.

Kiera and Damien discuss the votes and she says she has Dane and Estefania on board, Damien himself and possible Adam, Cory and Anthony. Kiera hints at her future plans and wants to get out Samantha and/or Adam if she stays in. In terms of Mark, he knows he has Adam, Anthony and Dane and hopes to get Cory on board as well.

Dane is now crawling to Kyra, desperate to find out what the Blood Veto entails. A short while later, the showmance comes to join him and they speculate that either Canada or Kyra decide who goes on the block should the Blood Veto be used. Kyra is certain Dane is running scared, and that he is not running the house.

In another bit of filler, Kiera and Estefania are talking about some of the boys in a schoolgirl kind of way saying Damien is the cutest and Anthony is the hottest, Dane has the nicest smile and the best butt. The only thing they can't decide on is about who is the best kisser.

Mark is all but certain he has Cory's vote, and now goes to work on Damien. He pitches that he can be loyal and if he wins HoH, Damien will not go on the block. Damien's not taking the bait so Mark turns it all up a notch, to which Damien says if Mark has his back he will return the favour.

Kiera reminds Cory that every vote will count this week, and questions how someone can prove their loyalty if they haven't won anything. Cory says the competitions are the priority to her, and doesn't know if she can trust Kiera and Kiera will have to prove to Cory she can be trusted. Kiera leaves disappointed as she doesn't think she has Cory's vote.

Now it's Kiera and Kyra one to one, with Kiera telling Kyra that she only has Estefania on her side but that's about it. Talk turns to Dane, and Kiera says he closer to Mark. Secretly Kyra thinks Kiera is coming on a bit hard, but has to see how the votes go.

Arisa reveals that Kiera had a whoopsie in the garden, and Kiera has her foot bandaged. To lighten the mood, we see a montage of BB Canada funnies.

Eviction

Reminder, Kiera or Mark will not go out straight away as Kyra has to decide whether to use the Blood Veto

Adam, Dane, Anthony, Cory and Damien vote to evict KIERA
Estefania is the sole vote to evict MARK

As it stands, Kiera is out but we still have the Blood Veto to come

Blood Veto

Arisa reveals to everyone else the true power of the Blood Veto and explains to them all. Kiera and Mark get 15 seconds to put their case forward on why they should stay in. Kiera says she doesn't trust Dane as he has been pitting people against each other, and if she is kept in the target goes straight on Dane. Mark relays he and Kyra had a great conversation and will make no changes to his previous speech.

Kyra decides.....NOT to use the Blood Veto. The eviction stays the same and Kiera is sent packing. Knew Kyra would chicken out, what does it have to take the other side of the house to open their eyes to the alliance under their noses.

Kyra the idiot, Kyra the stupid, Kyra the spineless.....All you had to do was get rid of Mark and this season could have been salvaged, but now the boys are more than likely to steamroll through the rest of this season

Arisa asks Kiera straight out why she didn't fight for the Blood Veto....Think a lot of people would love to know that as well. Not much fight in these housemates, and most too scared to make a big move as we have just seen. Kiera says she was afraid of Mark and didn't want an even bigger target on her back.

Talk then turns to Dane, and Kiera says she knew he was more intelligent than he gave off. She knew he was running everything and he's super strategic.

Goodbye messages follow and that wraps it up for Kiera's time on the show

HoH competition

As outgoing HoH, Samantha is not eligible to play. This is an endurance comp and it's called Pipe Dream. Quite simply they have to hang on to their respective pipes as long as they can. First three to fall will be Have Nots and on slop, and the last houseguest on their pipe will be the new HoH

To be continued in Episode 15, when the new HoH is crowned and we find out the next nominations

Big Brother Canada 2019 - Episode 13 - Power of Veto

Into Episode 13 we go, citizens and it's Power of Veto time again

In case you missed it, Sam won HoH and nominated Kiera and Mark. Meanwhile, the Blood Veto finally came into play, and after a unanimous vote the houseguests nominated Kyra to hold the new power.

So secret room not so secret anymore, and quite frankly I can think of better houseguests to have this new power as Kyra has proven time and again they cannot play this game and the other dummies STILL hand this power to them.

Basically, the Blood Veto means Kyra is immune from eviction as in can't be nominated and can't play in this week's Veto competition. That's about all we know so far in terms of the Blood Veto

On to this episodes festivities, and we pick up the action after the nominations ceremony.....

Sam tells us she wanted to test the water in terms of finding out more about the guys alliance, and also that Kiera is getting too dangerous to be kept in.

Kyra as usual is in the HoH's ear, saying that Dane, Mark, Anthony and Adam all had the same reaction when Mark was nominated. Doesn't prove anything, how about getting some solid proof Kyra. Kyra also suggests taking down Kiera from the block, have they actually forgotten they nor Sam can play in the Veto?

Kyra now with Estefania and Kiera, telling them about Dane's closeness to Adam. Kyra thinks about using the Blood Veto if it's best for their game, despite the fact they promised they wouldn't use it. Dane suspects Kyra of being sketchy about the Blood Veto, and Kyra thinks Dane is being super sketchy and says one of the guys definitely has to go this week.

Anthony tells Mark that he is very smart and pays attention to even the slightest details. Mark then freaks out a little when Anthony says he should not have been on the block this week, to which Anthony calms him down a little

Adam is with Kiera and Estefania now and tells them he doesn't know why Sam would go after somebody else. He then admits that a lot of people are worried about him and Sam. Estefania says she needs to make Adam see they could be good allies, and then says everyone is a sheep and she doesn't associate with sheep. Funny, hasn't stopped her unanimously voting to get rid of Chelsea and Eddie has it.

Adam is seriously pondering taking Kiera off the block instead of Mark. Kiera, meanwhile, is frustrated about how some of the houseguests are just cruising through. Dane has caught wind of Adam thinking about saving Kiera, and is going into panic mode. He thinks that the last person in Adam's ear will be most influential, and Adam should be thinking with his head and not his heart.

Mark and Kiera now teasing a showmance and he tells her despite the last 24 hours, he still cares about her....Isn't that sweet, not!!!!!!

Speaking of showmances, Samantha and Adam embark on their 'date' which was won when Samantha became HoH and chose him to watch a movie with her, courtesy of Adult Swim

Moving swiftly on.....

Veto picks and competition

As per the rules of this particular season, the HoH does NOT play in the Veto comp until the house is down to the final 5.

Joining Kiera and Mark in this week's Veto will be Damien, Estefania and Adam, and this competition is called Balance of Power

Quite simply, it's a 25 lap race in which each houseguest must balance the corresponding number of balls after each lap (Lap 1 = 1 ball, 2 laps = 2 balls) on their pole. If a houseguest drops a ball or falls off the beam then they have to start that lap again. First houseguest to 25 balls wins the Power of Veto

To cut a long story short, ADAM takes the honours and wins the Veto, but it's a competition he need not have won as one of his alliance is on the block and has sort of told Kiera she is going nowhere...You can almost hear the clang can't you.

Kiera feels very sorry for herself, despite Estefania's best efforts to cheer her up and tell Kiera she is going nowhere.

Back to the current showmance, Adam tells Samantha he didn't want to win that competition. Samantha is unsympathetic, as she still doesn't fully trust Adam, and tells him she overheard another conversation between Dane and Adam which doesn't get rid of her paranoia. She really needs Adam in the house for her own game, but can't trust him as little things keep happening.

Kiera's treat

She is summoned to the Have Not room where a comfortable bed is waiting for her, per the latest vote from Canada to give one houseguest a comfortable night's sleep.....Okaaaaaaay, moving swiftly on

Speculation is rife about what the Blood Veto entails, to which Dane speculates there may be a Canada's Vote to keep Mark or Kiera safe. He also shouts out to Big Brother, that there has to be a twist to all this as the least deserving person got the most powerful weapon so far in the game. Well you lot (houseguests) voted to give to Kyra, so you can't really complain.

Adam and Kiera have a disagreement when he suggests he and Samantha are alwyas going to be number one targets in the house. She pitches an alliance of Dane, herself, Adam, Estefania and Samantha alliance idea to him, thinking it's a strong group. It does make Adam think a lot, but he is cautious as he doesn't want to expose his other alliances, but on the other side of the coin keeping Kiera in will curry some favour and take some of the heat off him.

Still with Adam, and now he's with Anthony saying he is racking his brains to try and convince Sam Mark would be good to stay. Anthony suggests Kiera and Estefania would definitely go after Adam and Samantha. Adam wants Anthony to talk to Sam, but there is a certain level of awkwardness.

Back to the showmance, and Mark is being touted as definitely staying. Adam suggest Kiera and Estefania are a dangerous combination. He then tells Samantha he cares about her....Pass a clean bucket over.....

Veto ceremony

In short, Adam does NOT use the Veto and the nominations stay the same. But wait, Kyra is summoned to the Diary Room where there is a notice waiting for her about the Blood Veto....and we are kept waiting until the next episode to find out what the message is.

Tune in for Episode 14, when we find out the full details of the Blood Veto and who is leaving next out. Will it be Kiera or Mark?

Big Brother Canada 2019 - Episode 12 - HoH and Nominations

A fresh week is upon us, citizens, as the fallout from the double eviction begins, and one simple question from me....WHY THE HELL IS KYRA STILL THERE

Two shots to take them out, and the houseguests blew it

Anyways, in case you missed it....

Chelsea was evicted 9-0, Adam won the interim HoH and nominated Eddie and Kiera, Kiera won the Veto and used it on herself, and Adam put up Kyra as the replacement, and get this it was ANOTHER unanimous vote. Kyra must be made of Teflon, the way they keep surviving.

The other side of the house badly need this next HoH to make some inroads into the dominant alliance in the not so Pretty Boys and their hangers on. That being said Sam is showing signs of breaking away from said alliance, when she found out the boys were plotting behind the girls backs.

We pick up the action straight after Eddie's exit...

Kyra is feeling might relieved they avoided two bullets in the double eviction, and ultimately disappointed they couldn't get in Adam's ear to put a male. Mark feels he missed a shot in the double eviction and will retreat to his alliance, while Sam is paranoid the target will shift to her this week and feels she HAS to win HoH.

HoH competition

True or False competition next up and as outgoing HoH, Adam is ineligible to play but will host this comp. The houseguests will have 2 minutes to inspect the house and then go back to their respective podiums to start the comp and will be asked True or False questions about those 2 minutes of inspection.

The results as they came in:

1. Everyone correct
2. Damien and Anthony wrong, everyone else correct
3. Everyone correct except for Mark
4. Sam is in the lead with a so far perfect score of 4
5. Anthony, Dane and Kiera correct. Everyone else was wrong.
6. Sam, Damien and Estefania correct
7. Mark and Kyra wrong. Sam is in the lead, followed by Dane, Anthony, Estefania and Kiera
8. Samantha and Anthony are correct, and there is a tie between Samantha, Dane and Este

Tie breaker question: How many ring tosses were there in total in the Comp Beast comp?

Sam - 315
Dane - 171
Estefania - 120

Answer - 573

Samantha is the new HoH, much to her obvious relief

But hold on, there is another prize for the winner in that they and a guest of their choosing can go and watch a film courtesy of Adult Swim. Unsurprisingly she picks Adam....So predictable.

Already Adam is all over her, saying how she has turned the house upside down. Not the way you think, pal, don't think she doesn't know about your plotting with the other guys. Samantha, meanwhile, is hell bent on getting a guy on the block and tells us she wants to break down the guys alliance but has to be strategic.

Estefania is crying her eyes out saying she's let Kiera down and is paranoid she will be targeted by Samantha this week. In walks Kiera to comfort her and admits she put down a really stupid answer in the tie breaker. Kiera assures Estefania that Samantha is looking to take out a big target this week, and says Dane should be said big target, and if not then Mark will be a good consolation prize

Trouble in paradise, or in this case the showmance, as Samantha admits she knows about a possible guys alliance and wants to break it up. She then goes on to say she can't talk to Adam, and tells him he is trying to sway her to do his bidding. She doesn't trust Anthony and Mark, and tells us she wants to work with Adam and play on his manipulation without outing her own manipulation. If that makes sense......

Secret room revealed

Arisa pays a visit on the living room plasma telling the houseguests there is a secret room. Cue lots of scrambling to find it, but Damien knows exactly where it is as he has been in there many times. Shame he's such a fool as he lets Estefania in on where the secret room is, just why Damien. She should have had to look for it like everyone else. Estefania then spots the Blood Veto which triggers the alarm, tipping off everyone else. Can these people get even more stupid than they are already?

A short while later, everyone finally files into the now not so secret room and take it in turns to set off the Blood Veto alarm, and all the while Dane is mucking about with some boxes still trying to find the secret room and some boxes fall on his head.

Who wants to see my HoH room

Sam gets a video message from her mom and family saying they are all proud of her and want her to win

On to the next day, and Dane makes his way to the not so secret room and sees that the Blood Veto has disappeared. Another stupid mistake this time from Dane, as he prematurely throws Adam under the bus thinking he has the Blood Veto. Adam, by the way, has been in the garden all this time. Samis freaking out thinking someone has the Blood Veto, thinking it could undo her game in a heartbeat.

Speaking of Sam, she invites Anthony to this week's Wendy's meal to see where his head is at so far in the game overall, and this week's meal is served by Rozina, an early evictee from a previous series.

She admits to Anthony that she doesn't trust Mark, but Anthony does trust him. She also tells himshe is trying to keep people safe who will keep her safe.

Dane is freaking out he will be the primary target this week, and confides this to Adam who tells him he will continue to try and convince Sam there is no guys alliance. He then says Mark cannot be trusted as he is acting very sketchy and is playing every side, while Adam confidently says if the guys can survive this week then it would be ideal.

Kiera is terrified her and Estefania will be the targets this week, and wants to talk to Samantha to try and get off the radar. She pitches that Mark should go on the block as otherwise he will ride to the end and nobody will go against him. Samantha finds it hard to trust Kiera and says she feels in a tight spot right now.

Blood Veto decision

Basically they have to decide unanimously who will be given the Blood Veto, so no competition to actually decide who earns it more like who will just get handed it. Whoever gets the Blood Veto will not be able to be nominated or play in the next Veto competition. So basically immunity, surely there has to be more to it than this. Kyra already putting their case forward saying they have been nominated three times, and won't get nominated. Dane says Kyra is not going on the block, and Kyra replies that is why they are the logical choice. Debate continues, and in the end Kyra is eventually awarded the Blood Veto. Of all the people.....

Sam did not take part in the vote as HoH, and she sees that Dane is hopping mad. Dane says Kyra doesn't deserve the power. Mark and Estefania are also a little vocal about this issue, saying they should have spoke up and put their case forward. Too late now.

Nominations ceremony

Mark, Dane, Anthony and Kiera make the shortlist. Reminder, Kyra cannot be nominated this week due to holding the Blood Veto

And on the block pre Veto will be MARK and KIERA

Kiera is not too shocked, and says she will fight hard for Veto. Mark says Sam has lit a fire and is taking on the strongest alliance of all time. Debatable at best, Mark.

So the nominees are locked in and we hurtle towards the next Veto competition which will be in Episode 13....Can Mark or Kiera get themselves off the block? Stay tuned for the next episode, same BB time, same BB channel

Thank you all who pop in and read these posts. Any comments, likes, shares or comments are very much appreciated.

Big Brother Canada 2019 - Episode 11 - Double Eviction

Time for another eviction, citizens, but it's not one going in this episode, as it's a DOUBLE eviction

Outgoing HoH - Dane
Nominations pre Veto - Chelsea and Kyra
Veto winner - Cory

Cory decided not to use the Veto, so it WILL be Chelsea or Kyra going out first.

In case you don't know the rules of a Double Eviction, here's how it works. After the first evictee is gone then it's a whole week of Big Brother in one night as in HoH comp, Nominations, noms ceremony, Veto, Veto ceremony and finally eviction.

The rules in this series still stand in terms of the HoH not playing in the Veto competition

Everybody clear now? There will be questions later ;)

We pick up the action after the Veto ceremony, and Dane is more determined than ever to make sure Chelsea is evicted. Estefania pipes up to Dane about Chelsea, saying she is intelligent. Obviously more intelligent than you, Este, at least she's won a comp while you've won absolutely nothing so far.

Chelsea is not all that hopeful about staying, but says she will expose Dane and how he is being a puppet master, and speculates he may just win if the houseguests don't open their eyes very soon.

Still with Chelsea, and she is talking to Kyra about their non binary gender. Kyra says they have been attracted to women since about the age of 15 and felt a little different through life.

Mark is talking to us via the camera saying Dane is a very big threat to win along with Adam and Anthony. He eludes to wanting to bide his time before trying to blow up the not so Pretty Boys.

Chelsea says to Mark that she doesn't want her dream to end this early, but she is finding it hard to crack through the glass ceiling to stay in. This could be a very long process for her if some of the houseguests don't start listening soon.

Eddie suspects there is a big secret in the house, but first he goes to Cory and says to her face he thought she was 40 when in fact she is only 29

Back to gameplay, and it's Adam, Sam and Chelsea discussing strategy and who should pop up as usual? Yep, Kyra. But it's only a brief visit, and Chelsea is unsure if she can count on Adam and Sam as she thinks Adam is the reason she's on the block in the first place. Adam doesn;t make any firm promises, only saying if he can get others on board then he will.

Over to Dane, Mark and Adam talking about previous housemates, and look there's Kyra again listening in. Kyra only assumes that is the sign there is an alliance between the three guys, and reports back to HQ in their case Chelsea.

Chelsea relays the intel, quite unreliable I might add, from Kyra to Estefania going as far as to show Estefania the supposed signal. Chelsea then says she has 3 votes, but needs a target of 5. She then says she couldn't bear watch this season to see the women all picked off.

Eviction vote

First one not even close, as EVERYBODY apart from the HoH and nominees votes Chelsea out. Dear god, these unanimous votes are getting so dam boring.

Chelsea admits to Arisa her gameplay absolutely sucked, that's an understatement. She then says it's really hard to declare sides so easily. Really, did she just say that? The not so Pretty Boys have managed to form a side right under your nose, and you have been tipped off several times already to them.

Arisa goes back to the house, and informs the remaining not rights that tonight is a double eviction, and they are sent to the backyard to prepare for the HoH comp

HoH competition

Before or After is the name of this competition. Dane is not eligible to play as the outgoing HoH. Arisa will ask them questions about events in the house, and it will be two part questions as in did the first event occur before or after the second event

Order of elimination:

Anthony
Cory
Estefania
Kiera
Sam
Damien
Eddie
Mark

Winner and new HoH is ADAM....Lucky us, yet another not so Pretty Boy win. They certainly are racking them up at the moment.

Adam has to make his nominations within a few minutes, so like bees around honey the rest of the not rights swarm in one by one pitching ideas to Adam. Safe to say the Pretty Boys are happy.

Adam settles on nominating Eddie and Kiera and we move very swiftly to the Veto competition....

Veto competition

Spaced Out is next up, and what it entails is the players in the comp will drop their ball into a maze and then stand on a podium distributing their weight to move the ball through the maze. Adam as HoH will NOT be playing, and picked by random draw to play alongside Eddie and Kiera will be Anthony, Este and Mark.

A very quick competition which is won by KIERA, and she gets the Veto so obviously she will take herself off the block which she does with no hesitation. As HoH, Adam must now pick a replacement and he plumps for Kyra. So a second shot to get rid of Kyra beckons, let's see if they take it.....

Eviction vote

Eddie and Kyra can't vote as they are nominees

Unfortunately it's another unanimous vote, *sigh*

Eddie is sent packing in a bit of disastrous gameplay as he could have been a great number for someone in there. What is the logic of keeping that treacherous Kyra, when they have all said they are blowing up their own game. Two shots to take out that snake and they blew it.

Eddie apologises to the viewers for being so boring, not his fault the edit was unkind. Arisa says he did kind of disappear, to which Eddie replies that he felt he didn't have a lot in common with the other houseguests and wants Damien to win.

To be continued in Episode 12, where Leon's Lounge is discovered along with the Blood Veto

Big Brother Canada 2019 - Episode 10 - Power of Veto

Another step towards the double eviction we go with Dane as HoH, Chelsea and Kyra on the block pre Veto, and the next Veto is up for grabs as Chelsea and Kyra look to save themselves

So far it's been pretty plain sailing for the not so Pretty Boys despite how they and their followers are fracturing, with the other side of the house absolutely terrified to make any big moves which they really do need to make soon, or this could turn into a very one sided house long before jury. One alliance running everything does not make a good season, and I suspect if we get stuck with Adam and Sam exchanging saliva every other episode, the mass exodus of viewers will begin.

Off we go for the Veto, can Chelsea or Kyra pull themselves off the block, stay tuned for the answer right here

We pick up the action after the nominations ceremony, and Chelsea is now questioning Dane's loyalty after he gave his reason for nominating her. Meanwhile, Kyra is pondering her feelings for Chelsea which she says are getting stronger. What this edit doesn't show is that, Chelsea has already told Kyra she has a fella on the outside. Back to the show, and Kyra is pretty sure Chelsea has her back.

Back with Dane, and he and Anthony are celebrating in the archive room and tells us if one of the nominees come off the block then Sam is definitely going up as the replacement. Once Anthony leaves the room, Dane brags about the Pretty Boy alliance. Oh I cannot wait for that lot to be broken up, but the way things are going it's only going to be them in the house in a few episodes time.

Chelsea then accuses Dane of throwing her under the bus, and explains to Dane that some of the stuff was strictly confidential. She then turns on the tears, to which Dane is really unsympathetic.

Staying with Chelsea, and she admits to Adam that her game has blown up in her face after he betrayed her trust and who should turn up next? That's right, Kyra. Can't they just take a hint Chelsea is not interested. Kyra claims Adam is shook and questions why Adam would go to Dane to tip him off about the possible all girls alliance, which does genuinely rattle Adam

Adam goes off to talk things through with Dane about Kyra questioning him about loyalty, and Dane just about manages to calm Adam down. During this time, Kyra (who else?) pokes their head round the door again and Adam catches on that Chelsea and Kyra were testing him.

Of course, Kyra reports back to HQ aka Chelsea and says Adam can't be trusted as Sam walks into the room. Kyra then goes on to say that they aren't going to make it easy to take their friends out, and while warned that it could put a big target on their own back Kyra just shrugs that warning off, and warns Sam about Adam and Dane getting close.

Back to Chelsea and Sam by themselves, and they admit Kyra is trying to pin a lot of things on Adam while Chelsea says she still trusts Adam and he is still loyal. Sam seems certain she could majorly disrupt Kyra's game should she play in and win the Veto. Adam walks in and Chelsea informs him that Kyra is ruining their own game, and as if by magic here comes Kyra. Chelsea says she and Adam were discussing options for the Veto. Kyra doesn't believe this to be true.

On to the next day and Kiera and Mark are getting closer in terms of an alliance. Mark relays that he thinks Adam and Sam are the big dogs. Kiera asks for Mark's trust, to which he tells us he has to keep a lid on certain things he knows in the house, and not risk damage to his own game or words to that effect

Veto picks and competition

In case you missed, Dane as HoH is not allowed to play but Kyra and Chelsea are automatically in the competition. In terms of the random draw, Dane draws Mark, Chelsea draws Sam, and Kyra draws Cody.

The competition is called Comp Beat Hall of Fame, and Anthony is the host. Two houseguests will start the competition, and what they have to do is carry a big medal around a small track and jump over and go under hurdles, balance on a beam which they have to cross all the way and if they fall off the beam they have to start again, then have to land 5 hoops on 5 rings and it's 3 laps. Win and they advance to the next round, losing means elimination. The last houseguest standing wins Power of Veto

Heats:

Mark v Kyra - Mark advances after Kyra just can't keep their balance on the beam
Chelsea v Mark - Mark advances after a one ring shootout
Cory v Sam - Cory advances
Cory v Mark - Cory wins and gets Power of Veto

Dane is particularly anxious to see if Cory will use the Veto or not, so he can obviously execute his plan of getting Sam as the replacement. Meanwhile, the two nominees are quite emotional, no surprise there. Surprised the house hasn't flooded yet with the amount of tears cried by Kyra so far.

Cory is assuring Damien that his back is covered and asks if he has hers. Cory rising from the ashes, but the other side of the house HAVE to make those big moves soon. Cory is onto the idea that Samantha may be the likely target, and is unsure what she will say to Chelsea.

Talk turns back to Kyra's 'feelings' for Chelsea. YAWN O RAMA, change the record Kyra. She has told you 10000000000000 times, what part of no do you not understand. Cory says she is happy to use the Veto, but she is not quite sure of the lay of the land just yet. A lot of thinking to do for her I would say.

Chelsea, meanwhile, is happy to clear the air with Cody and warns her a lot of falsehoods are being spread about her, and fears she is being played. She is not certain Cody will use the Veto, and has to spend any time left re-evaluating options should she be saved.

Veto ceremony

Twofold really, if she saves Kyra she could find herself under a very uncomfortable microscope,, and then there's the question of trust with Chelsea.

Off we go, and Cody decides NOT to use the Veto so the nominations stay the same going into the double eviction and Chelsea or Kyra will be one of two leaving next.

In case you missed what the double eviction night entails, after the first person goes it's HoH, Nominations and Veto in one night and then another goes to meet Arisa. Simple enough?

To be continued in Episode 11 when we see which two will go out the door, and the other side of the house really need this to be their night.

Big Brother Canada 2019 - Episode 9 - HoH and Nominations

A fresh week is upon us, citizens, and it's time to get a new HoH in power

In case you missed the last few days:

Outgoing HoH - Chelsea
Nominated pre Veto - Kiera and Damien
Veto winner - Sam
Nominated post Veto - Kailyn and Damien
Evicted - Kailyn (10-0)

The intention was always to backdoor Kailyn as the Pretty Boys alliance and their hangers on in Chelsea and Sam who saw Kailyn as dangerous.

Before she left, Kailyn tipped off everyone outside said alliance about how dangerous Adam and Sam were in a very fiery speech, and that's putting it mildly.

So now everything's out in the open, how will the non alliance houseguests react to all of Kailyn's revelations, or will they even care as they continue to fight amongst themselves in a house becoming ever more divided?

Stay tuned in this post to find out all the answers, and the power is up for grabs as it's endurance time in the HoH competition as a fan favourite returns

We pick up the action where things left off in the HoH competition, and in case you missed it, Kyra had already been eliminated as she was last to push her buzzer in time and Chelsea is not eligible to play as outgoing HoH

Buzzkilled 2.0

Recap of the rules, and it's quite simple. The last houseguest in each round to hit their button when the 60 seconds have elapsed will be eliminated. There is no telling when the countdown will start, any time between 60 seconds and 60 minutes, it's entirely when BB choose. When it gets to the last 2 standing, the first to hit their buzzer will be the new HoH. Of course this being Big Brother, there will be treats and temptations thrown in an random intervals. Houseguests are allowed to leave their podium for a treat or temptation, but must make it back to their podium in time to press their buzzer.

At the 90 minute mark, beer and pizza is offered as a temptation to which Anthony is sorely tempted, causing him to be eliminated. Meanwhile, Dane grabs a slice of pizza, but has to dash back to his buzzer, and then he's off again for another slice.

Note, the beer and pizza are NOT allowed to be consumed at the buzzer point, but at the table provided.

Next up, it is announced BB have hidden 9 HAVE cards for the week and the three who fail to find the cards will be the have-nots.

By about the 4 hour mark, Samantha, Dane, Damien, Cory and Adam are still in the competition. Adam is next to fall, followed by Cory which leaves a final 3 of Sam, Damien and Dane

Damien is really determined to win this comp, but disaster strikes as he is next to go being last to hit his buzzer. So either way it's going to be the Pretty Boys ruling again with Dane and Sam left in the competition

Order of elimination:

Kyra
Eddie
Anthony
Estefania
Kiera
Mark
Adam
Cory
Damien
Samantha

Winner and once again HoH is DANE, and have not's for the week will be Adam, Damien and Cory

Samanatha is naturally disappointed on missing out, and Adam is really anxious and is ready to make his move on Dane to make sure Samantha is not a backdoor option. Meanwhile, Sam is crying about not winning to which Kyra comforts her. Anthony and Dane celebrate the victory and very subtely I may add as in while nobody is looking. Dane thinks Adam's head is not screwed on right due to the showmance (and he's only just noticing?) and Anthony suggests Chelsea and Kyra on the block pre-Veto and then possibly Samantha as a backdoor opinion. Oh what a tangled web this house is becoming.

Who wants to see my HoH room

The usual weeping and booing from the HoH when they get their message from home. In this case Dane gets a message from his mum and grandma.

Adam tells Dane straight out that he wanted Samantha to get HoH, so she could get a message from her dad. Dane then tells Adam that Chelsea and Sam are a potential threat and are working together, to which Adam says he could get a confession from Samantha about who to get out, and not to worry about her. Oh boy, is this guy heading for a massive fall soon

Samantha warns Chelsea that Kyra is going to play the other side really hard. Chelsea's trust with Adam is at an all time low, while Samantha worries about getting backdoored.

Adam is getting really anxious about his storyline showmance getting evicted, and they are talking amongst other things about trust. Match made in hell these two, they won't last two minutes on the outside. Meanwhile, Kiera and Estefaniata talk about having Mark, Anthony and Dane in their corner and talk of getting Cory on their side as well.

Back to Sam, and she's off to Dane to make sure he doesn't backdoor her and she promises to keep him and Estefania safe. We all know what his plan is, and this deal is less than sincere.

Cory has the honour of being the Wendy's meal date with Dane, and serving this week is last year's runner up KAELA

Adam is still insistent Samantha should not go this week, but Anthony brings up a very good point in that hinting Samantha would not do the same for Adam. But as usual, in one ear and out the other.

Back with Dane, and Chelsea is regaling him with how she made the best moves possible to get rid of Kailyn. Dane says to us that he is not totally stupid and can see right through Chelsea, in that she wants to get some sort of girl alliance going.

Question of trust next, as Kyra is next in to talk to Dane. He tells her there is a 7 person alliance going on consisting of himself, Adam, Sam, Chelsea, Anthony, Mark and Cory and swears Kyra to secrecy. He does not tell Kyra who he intends to target, causing Kyra to question his loyalty.

Still with Kyra, and she tells Chelsea about this so called alliance to which Chelsea replies that there was talk of it, but nothing really happened. Chelsea is getting increasingly paranoid about going home.

Nominations ceremony

Chelsea, Sam, Kyra and Eddie make Dane's shortlist as he wants to stir things up a bit. He settles on nominating Kyra and Chelsea. Chelsea, because she made numerous deals which were no good to anyone's game, and Kyra because of her closeness with Chelsea.

Can Chelsea or Kyra win Veto and pull themselves off the block? To be continued in Episode 10 of Big Brother Canada 2019

Big Brother Canada 2019 - Episode 8 - Eviction

Welcome, fair citizens of Big Brother world, as we head into another eviction

Outgoing HoH - Chelsea
Nominated pre-Veto - Kiera and Damien
Veto winner - Sam

Sam used the Veto on Kiera, and as planned Kailyn took her place as part of a backdoor plan by Chelsea

Tonight sees another houseguest vacate the premises, and also one houseguest gets to look at tip top secret information about 2 houseguests of their choosing.

We pick up the action after the veto ceremony, and Kiera is understandably happy after being saved from the chopping block. Exactly the same feelings for Chelsea, as she has managed to get her target in Kailyn on the block, but she does let on she is celebrating with caution as she herself could be in trouble if Kailyn manages to 'rally the troops' and saves herself.

Kailyn, meanwhile, is plotting her next move to possibly stay in. Dane advises her to get to work straight away

The showmance, that is Adam and Samantha, is petting behind closed doors before being interrupted by Chelsea. Kiera and Estefania are thinking they will get far in the game as people will think they are dumb, and tells us she is going after Chelsea and Sam.

Dane is commenting on Kailyn, saying there is no way she is 29. And he is only just figuring this out? He then says she is a mighty fine cook

Back to the showmance, as in Adam and Samantha, and they are kissing. Why do these editors think we want to see this kind of thing whether it be in USA, UK or Canada. Back to the game talk please

Kailyn realises it's time to get to work on staying in, and first port of call is Cory. Kailyn knows she (herself) will have a target on her as long as she stays. Cory has a lot to think about saying Kailyn makes great points in her pitch, but is reluctant to commit at the risk of throwing her own game away.

Cory then reports back to Adam, Sam and Chelsea with Kailyn's pitch. Chelsea is particularly interested, but reminds Cory that Kailyn can be really manipulative.

Vote reveal

Once again Damien gets the chance to get some info on his fellow houseguests, which involves a series of clues which will lead him. Big Brother reveals that he is not allowed to tell anyone about this mission.

He finds clues hidden in very strategic places around the house culminating in him finding the secret entrance to the room he was in on Launch night.

He selects MARK and SAM's files for inspection and he is shown more video footage of their audition interviews, but to be honest it's not very helpful and renders this mission a bit pointless.

Back to Kailyn, and now she summons Mark and Estefania, and admits the truth she is actually 42 with 4 kids and a step-son. In case you missed it, she initially said she was 29 as mentioned by Dane earlier in this post.

She then goes on to say that Adam and Sam are using Damien as a pawn to knock them all out one by one. Adam comes back from the backyard to find everyone except Sam and Chelsea in a house meeting. Back with Kailyn, she says Chelsea talks about them all differently when their backs are turned. Speaking of Chelsea, she does sort of crash into the house meeting and runs back to Adam. Adam by this point is getting really cheesed off, but Dane and Mark soon appear to calm him down.

Dane informs Adam that Kailyn has tried to put a target on Chelsea and Sam, and Adam who is getting more angry by the moment, saying the girls are running the game and he is letting them, not knowing Sam was listening in to his and Dane's conversation. Trouble in paradise, perhaps? I certainly hope so.

Sam has now gone running off to Chelsea, retelling the story of the conversation she heard between Adam and Dane, and warns that Adam and Dane are working together. Enter Kyra and she then gets the full story. Chelsea comments on how crazy the house is getting. Kyra suggests that they have to get Adam thinking he is still playing them. Enter the man of the moment, and safe to say the daggers are pointing in his direction.

Eviction

And boy does Kailyn go off on one before the vote, as in during her speech she asks everyone to hold out their left hand and pretends to give money to Chelsea, Adam and Sam saying everyone else is handing the game to them on a silver plate. Kailyn then turns to Chelsea and gives her the hairdryer treatment quoting A Few Good Men, with the infamous 'You Can't Handle the Truth' thrown in. She then concludes with saying nobody signed up for a beauty pageant.

As it's even numbers for this eviction, the HoH does not vote and as usual the nominees are not allowed to vote.

To no great surprise, everybody who can vote voted to evict Kailyn. Arisa asks Kailyn if she even saw that backdoor coming, and that she was played big time. Kailyn does avoid answering some questions, but does admit it was hard connecting with some of the houseguests.

Kailyn claims she figured there was another 4 way alliance, sure she did. She didn't see the backdoor coming, so she can't really be that much of a psychic.

HoH competition

This time we only see the start of the competition, as it's endurance. One of the BB Canada fan favourites it would seem, and it's called Buzzkilled 2.0

Quite simple or so it seems, as when houseguests hear the alarm they must press their buzzer. But the alarm could go off any time between 1 or 60 minutes. Another factor could be that houseguests could be offered temptations to stop.

Off we go, and straight away we get a countdown and Kyra is first eliminated as in pressing her buzzer last

That is that, and the winner will be revealed in Episode 9 when the new HoH is crowned and they make their nominations. Arisa also reveals that the next eviction will be a DOUBLE eviction

Thank you for coming in and reading these posts, and any RT's, likes, shares and comments are much appreciated.
