Big Brother Canada 2021 - Finale week - Final 4 Veto and Eviction

So it all comes down to this Veto, to see who will join Ty in the final 3

In case you missed it amongst the BBCan awards, Ty won the pointless final 4 HoH comp and stamped his ticket to final 3, and then nominated Tera and Kiefer to no shock from anyone inside or outside the house.

Tonight's Veto winner has all the power, and everyone plays....As they get the sole vote to evict in tonight's eviction, so all to play for.

Arisa looking uber chic, as she always does....

Straight away she goes to the house, and this is where the feeds cut off the season IIRC

First up, the noms recap and of course Tera is vocal about being on the block. What else is new, as I was just saying to one of my followers on Twitter, it would not surprise me at all if she won this Veto and then goes on to win the whole thing on finale night.

Veto comp

And it's straight down to business with the final Veto comp of the season....

Escape room, and here is how it works

1. Find 3 stacks of photos and put them in order of season events
2. Crack code to deactivate laser

A little bit of physical and mental thrown in, and individually timed

Fastest time wins this very crucial Veto

Oh flaming hells bells, Tera wins the Veto and joins Ty for finale night. From floater in the first half, and then winning this Veto in the second. Her chances have gone up slightly....

Breydon or Kiefer, who goes.....She decides

And now onto the jury house, where Beth makes her loud entrance and it's showmance back on. But not if Jed's mom has anything to say about it.

Breaking it down:

Tera boots Kiefer - Her CV gets a major upgrade which will earn her some points, and she has a better chance

Tera boots Breydon - If she gets to final 2, it's pretty hard to say. Would she beat Ty or Kiefer in a jury vote. Well Ty's not too popular with the jury, so that's 50/50. Kiefer would probably beat her, but not as convincing as some are making out.

And she is genuinely torn, risk or possible reward. The decision is all in her hands

Eviction

Tera decides to use the Veto on herself, which means Breydon goes on the block as Ty is HoH

She decides to evict KIEFER, perhaps to no great shock. She would have been roasted if she had booted Breydon, I reckon

So it's down to Ty, Brey and Tera for the grand prize....All to play for, and an upgraded CV for Tera.

To be concluded in the finale episode, who wins....The jury decides

Big Brother Australia 2021 - Episode 7 - Surprise week conclusion

And we reach the end of an eventual theme week, which has seen SJ and Mary go up to the big man's attic, several evictions, Daniel and Katie still going at it with their rivalry, and many more events leading to this day

Surprise week is ending with a bang, quite literally. More on that when the moment arrives....

Celebrations galore in the attic, and straight away the big man announces that they will be able to eavesdrop on the others in time, but they must be very quiet NOW. Sid, meanwhile, toasts SJ and Mary blissfully unaware of course like the rest of them, the two 'evictees' are directly above them. Then in the Diary Room, Sid vows to turn the tables on Daniel.

Back in The Attic, the big man wakes up the two 'evictees', and SJ is highly suspicious Jess didn't vote for her. The big man introduces them to the wireless radio to which they can listen in. Isn't this like giving one side an unfair advantage when those two do go back in, and tell their particular camp everything they heard?

I thought it would be like Canada where SJ and Mary would have a challenge, and only one of them goes back in

And already they are listening in on Daniel, Nick and Melissa making plans to cruise to the end

But that's not all, later in the episode they are introduced to the hatch and can talk to two housemates of their own choice, to which they decide on Katie, who then proceeds to tell her fellow camp members of the rumblings in the attic.

Nominations challenge

And it's another endurance challenge, and this time they have to lay down and hold onto a bar to stop their respective balloons popping.

And look at that, Charlotte out first, seriously why on earth did she bother signing up for the show. She has done NOTHING, and still they keep her in.

160 minutes later, Katie and Tilly are still hanging on for dear life....Come on Tilly!!!!

And TILLY is the winner, she is turning into quite a comp beast. You go, girl!!!!!

Her three nominations are JESS, CHARLOTTE and Carlos. The guy who liked one of my Canada summaries, he's a good man.

On a side note, I really hope this version is NOT going to go down the later BBUK route of making the Diary Room non-private. That is what somewhat killed BB in the UK, please Australia don't go down that route. It's a death sentence.

Team Daniel are VERY confident about Jess going, oh boy not the first surprise he is going to get today. She's going nowhere, and watch Daniel's day get even worse very soon.

But on a serious note, I do sort of feel sorry for his side given the unfair advantage Katie's team have had in this episode with a certain two in the attic dropping intel all over the place

And the two in the attic are at it again, now tipping Sid off with some intel. I can see why people are kicking off on social media, seriously. Please don't turn this into the later years of BBUK.

Eviction

And here comes the boss ladyMa Kruger (or should that be cougar) again, looking oh so chic in pink tonight. Not much stirring tonight if I'm being honest, and she is dropping so many hints the two in the attic are still hanging around

The scores on the doors:

Jess - 4
Charlotte - 1
Carlos - 7

Bye bye Carlos, and thank you so much again for liking one of my summaries for Canada. So much appreciated

Daniel's face is not a nice one, as he is finally outsmarted and doesn't get his own way

Another person we've barely seen bites the dust, but wait it's not quite over yet.....

A few hours after Carlos's departure, the big man summons them to the garden where there is a feast awaiting and also a big cake.....Hmmm, wonder who could be in that cake. Yep, SJ AND Mary return to much fanfare. Daniel and Nick couldn't be any more unhappier

And so we finally draw a line under Surprise Week and close week 2, and I think it's safe to say very big advantage Team Katie with those various surprises in this episode

Big red button week it would seem for Week 3....What will the rewards or punishments bring, what new trickery does the big man have in store.....To be continued in Episode 8 very soon

Shout outs to Big Brother's Big Eye and BB on Blast

Big Brother Australia 2021 - Episode 6 - Surprise Week pt. 3

One episode ago, in a Big Brother Australia house far far away.....
KFC! The name of yesterday's game was to ignore the obvious. In this divided house, Daniel and Katie's rivalry continued. Meanwhile, Big Brother himself laid down several challenges throughout the episode ranging from dogs to cobwebs to clowns. The housemates, however, resisted all the temptations and won their KFC banquet.

Then while Charlotte and Daniel argued, Melissa and Tilly cruised to a victory in the nominations challenge, which saw them nominate Christopher, SJ and Charlotte. Christopher vanished and become one with the Force when he was voted out.

Tonight

A new room is introduced, 15 become 14, and Surprise Week continues. What will the big man pull out of the hat tonight in terms of surprises....Stay tuned

And off we go, with SJ and Mary meditating while Carlos snoozes, which does not go un-noticed by the big man who first apologises for waking Carlos, and then in the same breath gives him a telling off for sleeping and makes him latino dance around the house until further notice. See what I mean about this BB taking no you know what from anyone.

And of course Daniel is trying his very poor impression of Rocky with his skipping, trying and quite regularly failing when he tries picking up speed.

Charlotte is summoned to the Diary Room, and the big man asks her who needs a makeover to which she replies Nick. He is consequently summoned to the Diary Room, and is told he needs a makeover courtesy of Charlotte and Ari.

After a little while, SJ is roped in to help as well.....

Now some complaints about the food, I'm sure the big man will sort that out pretty soon. Tilly begins to search for better food. Don't ask....Just Tilly being Tilly. But jeez she is so adorable and funny without meaning to be, please keep her in to the end.

Food task

24 hour shopping task ahoy, announces the big man

Eight alarms have been installed within the house, and somewhere in the house when one of the alarms goes off, a designated housemate will have to find the alarm. The pool alarm is underwater, so some of them will be getting wet at some point. Every successful deactivation will put $10 into the kitty for the overall shopping budget.

Christina about to get shoved into another showmance storyline, when Katie teases Mitchell about him liking her. As usual, no to showmances. Is that Mitchell's chat up line "Oi come here", no way to talk to a lady. In any case, the showmance looks on as the big man presses Christina about Mitchell. Why are they so desperate to have her in a showmance. Leave the young lady alone.....

Day becomes night, as the task continues on. Lots of blankets coming out of the bedroom into the living area, and the daily segment of Katie and Daniel's rivalry. Just a load of words, so at least they are being civil.

All their efforts are rewarded eventually with a budget of $220, but missed out on $190 more with the alarms they missed.

Oh how I have missed these gripes about the weekly shopping, whether it be UK or Australia. Daniel whining because somebody wanted to have some moisturiser. Bread is missed off the list in their hurry to do the shopping list. Tofu features highly, and it's the most of any item they have in the house.

Nominations challenge

For today's nominations challenge:

Another pairs challenge where they have to evenly distribute their weight via holding on to ropes on opposite sides of climbing frames. However as there are 15 housemates, one will have to sit out but will be immune from being nominated but can vote at the eviction ceremony. Housemates will each draw a ball, whoever gets the white ball will be immune.

And immunity goes to KATIE

The pairs are:

Mitch and Sid
Marley and Jess
Daniel and Christina
Mary and Charlotte
Ari and Nick
Melissa and Tilly
SJ and Carlos

After much panting, falling and groaning, Daniel and Christina emerge as winners. But as usual, he has to have the final say when it comes to nominations

He and Christina, well mainly him, settle on SJ, Mary and Sid as the nominations. SJ starts stirring the pot about Daniel promising her final 10, and then going back on his word. Voices getting louder, but seriously why do they always give in to this guy. It's not against the rules to stand up to him, it's not as if he's bigger than them. Come on, housemates.....

Eviction

And here comes the boss lady, Ma Kruger, for the nightly grilling....Think even she's a bit perplexed about the tim tam business between Daniel and SJ, as she goes about her usual pot stirring.

And the votes are in:

SJ - 8 votes
Mary - 3 votes
Sid - 2 votes

Bye bye to SJ, or is it....

The Attic

While she's making her way out, the big man stops SJ in her tracks and opens up a new room called The Attic which she will occupy until further notice

But wait, back to the housemates and the big man announces it is a double and Mary or Sid will be 'leaving' (joining SJ in the attic as we shall soon see)

Votes are in a second time, and if there is a tie Daniel and Christina will have the casting vote

Mary - 5
Sid - 5

And joining SJ in the attic will be MARY, as chosen by Christina and Daniel, pretty much rinse and repeat from above for SJ and off she goes to The Attic.

Basically, another secret room where the 'old bats' can listen in on conversations and probably watch them as well at some point, and that's probably only the tip of the iceberg with the surprises we've seen so far, and they haven't disappointed so far.

What other features will The Attic have? Will Mary and/or SJ go back in? Find out in episode 7, at this summary page soon. But be warned, the best is probably still to come.

Big Brother Canada 2021 - Finale Week - Final 4 HoH conclusion, BBCan Awards and Nominations

Beth has finally hit the bricks and left for jury, as hollow as it felt when she should have been gone weeks ago.

Lots of mixed reviews for this season on social media and other places as we head into the last 3 episodes for this season with a final 4 of Ty, Breydon, Kiefer and Tera.

Probably not the final 4 most were expecting, but given the way the endgame has played out this year it would not surprise me to see someone like Tera or Breydon winning this in 2 episodes time.

Tonight sees the race to the final 3 begin with the winner of this HoH locking in their place for finale night, however this HoH and nominations are pretty pointless with this week's Veto having more power.

Also tonight, it's the season recap with the BBCan awards taking place

HoH conclusion

And this is where we left the show in the last episode with Ty slightly in the lead, not going to explain the rules again. They are explained in the last post.

To cut a long story short, Ty wins, but HoH is pretty much powerless in final 4 as no doubt everyone knows by now. He tells the public that he wants rid of Kiefer.

Usual 'who wants to see my HoH room' segment, and now talk turns to who has got the strongest resume.

BBCan Awards

Season recap imminent, in the shape of the BBCan awards. But first, time to get them dolled up ready for the recap and awards.

Now that's done, it's time for these awards

Discombobulated discussion - Reindeer

Favourite face off - Tera v the ballpit

Best dance moves - Victoria

Most entertaining house mission - BINGO

Back to house business, and Breydon is following Ty around like a lovesick puppy. No surprise it's these two for the Wendy's meal, and Ty gets a video message from his mum when he picks up the meal.

Nomination ceremony

No surprise in the nominations either, with Kiefer and Tera being nominated....

So it all comes down to the VERY crucial Veto, will Tera or Kiefer win it and lock in final 3? Stay tuned for the penultimate episode of this season.

Shout out's:

Big Brother Australia 2021 - Episode 5 - Surprise week part 2

And then there were 16, with Michael (who?) being shown the door in a nail biter against some of the outside's favourite, Tilly

In case you missed it, blow up between SJ and Tilly in the last episode over chickpeas which resulted in SJ suggesting Tilly be put on the chopping block. After Tilly got tipped off about her nomination via Christopher, that's the resident magician by the way, Tilly really went at SJ.

Meanwhile the Danny v Katie rivalry continued, and Charlotte point blank refused to do her bit for the Scary-oke challenge.

Tonight

Surprise Week continues with a task that UK and Canada viewers will be all too familiar with, more on that later. What else will the big man have up his digital sleeve tonight? Stay tuned.

And of course 16 become 15 when after Ma Kruger visits, another housemate is sent packing from the house.

All this and more as we head into day 2 of Surprise Week and Episode 5.....

All things bright and beautiful in the garden to kick things off tonight, when the big man comes over the airwaves to comment about Daniel's skipping. Daniel then proceeds to try and be like Rocky, but ends up falling flat on his face, hopefully much like his game very soon. Meanwhile, Katie is showing Daniel how fast skipping should be done.

Now a recap with Ma Kruger....Moving swiftly on

From day to night to day again, and the housemates are playing their own jokes befitting of Surprise Week, more jump scares than anything else.

For today's task, the big man introduces the Ignore the Obvious type task. Remember that from UK and Canada? It's quite simple, as in ignore the strange occurrences that will shortly happen to them. Nothing more, nothing less. Their reward will be a luxury banquet of KFC Australia.

Occurrence 1 - Tilly's chihuahua. Oh so cute, but the big man's not messing around. They really do have to ignore that little ball of cute fluff. Yes I am a dog lover, if you didn't know already. My own dog is a bit poorly at the moment, with a touch of kennel cough. Will be nice to see him soon when indoor mixing restrictions are lifted, and be able to pat him.

Occurrence 2 - The Diary Room is covered in cobwebs, and Daniel is freaking out at the very thought o of furry spiders

Occurrence 3 - SJ up next, and a Great Dane is laying on the Diary Room chair

Occurrence 4 - Ari next, and he has to ignore a clown popping balloons and also a pie in the face

Occurrence 5 - Sid gets a load of poppers explode around him as he makes his way to the Diary Room

Occurrence 6 - Carlos gets a disco ball and some Latino music in the Diary Room

Occurrence 7 - Tilly's chihuahua returns

Occurrence 8 - Tilly and Marley gets plastic balls dropped on them in the Diary Room

Occurrence 9 - Nick gets a video message which contains his dog

And at the end of all that, they obviously passed and got their luxury KFC banquet

Christopher now giving us a demonstration of his magic skills, while Daniel and Katie go off to a quiet corner to iron out their differences. Of course, nothing is resolved. Rivalry continues.....

1 hour to nominations challenge, announces the big man

Nominations challenge

Pairs challenge today, and it's a variation of something from the USA version. The good old fashioned seesaw one where they have to balance balls on one end of said respective seesaws. Any balls fall off then it's back to square one, or something like that.

The teams are:

Melissa and Tilly
Nick and Christina
SJ and Mary
Jess and Katie
Sid and Mitch
Marley and Christopher
Daniel and Charlotte
Ari and Carlos

And the winners are MELISSA and TILLY. Go Tilly!!!!!

Immediately they are summoned to the Diary Room to make their nominations, and they settle on Charlotte, Christopher and SJ to be on the chopping block.

Daniel, Nick and their little clique seem to be very confident of getting rid of Christopher.

Oh hang on, SJ ratting about the plan to Katie's side, and to say he is fuming would be a massive understatement. Well, Daniel will run his mouth won't he as usual.

Suddenly Daniel and his crew are not so confident, we'll just have to see what happens with this eviction

Eviction

And here's Ma Kruger with her usual grilling, this woman smells blood when she goes to them and today is no different. Off she goes with the usual pot stirring, but somehow I am not minding it so much these days. Maybe because I have been so used to so much pot stirring over the years, especially in the later years of the UK version

Anyway, back to the present, and once Ma Kruger has finished her nightly grilling and pot stirring it's time for the vote....

The scores on the doors:

Christopher - 8
SJ - 0
Charlotte - 6

Another one bites the dust, goodbye Christopher

What will the big man have in store for them in Episode 6, when Surprise Week continues? Tune in for the next fun packed summary, at this page next time

Big Brother Australia 2021 - Episode 4 - Surprise week begins

17 will become 16 today, and some will not be walking on sunshine, rather a case of walking out the door to Sonya....

Tilly heavy episode somewhat today, as we shall all see or in this case read about

Intelligent? Maybe....Unintentionally funny? Hell to the Yeah

We kick off with them sleeping and then suddenly "Walking on Sunshine" is piped into the house, and straight away Tilly is in the Diary Room, saying this is not her favourite of songs.

A short while later, the young, and ridiculously cute, lady of the moment is adding chickpeas to her cereal to which she remarks that the cereal is disgusting, and she also remarks she is only playing a dumb blonde and that in fact she is, in her own words, quite intelligent

As part of Surprise week, they have been given a challenge as in Scarey-oke. Basically they will all face a singing competition while being faced with their fears, which include snakes and birds amongst other things. The grand prize for this one is a espresso machine.

Tilly's reaction when she has to put her hand in the box containing her fears, can anyone say ear splitting shriek.

Carlos is scared of cakes, while Daniel is scared of mouse traps.....

Oh and they failed the challenge, especially so in regards to Charlotte who basically turned her nose up at this particular challenge. Didn't try at all I may add. So instead of a top of the range EM, they get a teeny tiny plunger type between 17 of them.

Nominations challenge

With a twist thrown in for this one, as in split into two teams

Shall we say scrummage, as the teams will try and push their opponents over their line via a contraption that has been set up. This is kind of hard to explain, so please bear with me. < -------- > with the teams gradually increasing in numbers. The captains are Daniel (Blue) and Katie (Red), and it's safe to say the tension is still there between them two as they continue to bicker.

In the end, Daniel's team comes out on top so nominations are exclusively theirs this week, and needless to say almost immediately takes over this process when he and his team are summoned to the Diary Room.

Mary, Michael and Tilly are the unlucky three this week, and that's the bottom line because Daniel says so. Note, SJ wanted to put Tilly up because she (Tilly) ate all the chickpeas. Akin to BBUK's Carole's "Not my f'ing piccalilli", god that woman was a nightmare. Hope we are not to get an Australian version of her. Hardly a full and frank reason to put Tilly up.

Tilly is tipped off by Christopher that it was SJ who suggested she go on the chopping block, and dear me that little firecracker goes at SJ. Who can blame her, that was an absolutely feeble reason for being nominated. A few burnt chickpeas? Why on earth did the big man accept that reason?

And here comes Ma Kruger, who I suspect has been let in on all the chickpea drama and smelling blood, she goes right in for the kill. She takes apart the reasoning for Tilly's nomination in seconds.

In a sudden last ditch attempt to stay in, Tilly really goes for it with her plea and just wow as she pulls on their heartstrings. This girl is good.

Guess that plea did work as the score was:

Mary - 0
Tilly - 8
Michael - 9

By the skin of her teeth, Tilly stays in to fight another day. What a dull house it would be without her in it, eh? Star of this episode by a long way.

What does the big man have in store in the next episode as Surprise Week continues? Will Tilly stay in for another day? All this and more in Episode 5 of Big Brother Australia

Big Brother Canada 2021 - Episode 26 - Eviction (Beth v Tera)

Foregone conclusion many would say, as we head towards finale week.....

In case you missed it:

Tera returned in the battle back
Breydon won HoH, nominating Beth and Tera
Breydon won Veto, but didn't use it
Beth and Tera stay on the chopping block, and one will go to jury after this episode

Bit of an easy HoH week for Breydon with no big decisions to be made, the guy didn't even have to break much sweat.

Tonight

Arisa as always looking uber chic, as she welcomes us in

The moment most have been waiting for, barring a major flip, is upon us. Will feel a little hollow, as Beth should have gone twice over already.

We pick things up after the veto ceremony, and looking back Beth is making some valid points about her and Tera being on the block, when Kiefer should have been there.

Have a feeling this is going to be a Beth heavy episode before she goes later in the episode. Right on cue her and Ty are going at each other's throats. Think the warning from the voiceover about earmuffs was a timely one, as she was raising her voice quite a lot in the preview.

Anyway, let's just say she didn't do her cause any good with that slanging match with Ty. She's all but out and a load of people on social media and chatrooms are ready to partay.

And now she's kicking off with Kiefer, credit to her she is trying hard to stay in but it's probably futile now anyway

Beth and Kiefer get an overnight mission to count the number of Raccoons in the backyard, and then the other three get a counter mission to distract the other two. If the two fail and get the number outside of a range of five, then the other three will get the barbecue. Number right, then it's everyone.

And of course it's a pass, so everybody gets the barbecue

Jury house

Cue the shock and screams of Jed walking into the jury house, and telling them about his clownshoes moment of saving Beth with the Veto he won. Vic's already thinking 'what an idiot' judging by the look on her face, however they don't get told about Kiefer's conniving, so will be very interesting to see what will happen when that is shown, if it's shown that is.

Oh and Kiefer won this week's Skip the Dishes vote, apparently by a big margin according to the feed updaters.

Moving swiftly on.... and probably Beth's last argument in the house and it's again with Ty.

Eviction vote

After the keep me in pleas, we are finally underway for the vote

Ty votes to evict Beth
Kiefer votes to evict Beth

Bit of a formality really....

Beth evicted 2-0, and she's still shouting as she talks to Arisa. Hollow victory though, as she should have gone a lot sooner.

HoH comp

As outgoing HoH, Breydon is ineligible to compete

Pretty pointless HoH, as the Veto has the most power in final 4

Basically, the players will see cards of this season's housemates and they have to buzz in and say who was evicted the week those houseguests played in Veto

Ty got the first question right.... and that's it until episode 27 when the next HoH is crowned and we get to see a watered down version of the BBCAN awards....Finale week is looming, it's been a mixed bag this season, only in my opinion of course. But we are very nearly there.
