Big Brother USA 2019 - Episode 6 - Nominations and Chaos Whacktivity

That was the week that was.....

  • Christie won HoH, and nominated Cliff and Kathryn
  • Ovi won the first secret power in the Nightmare Whacktivity, which means he can call a snap nominations ceremony and change the nominations for that week. This power is nullified at the moment as Ovi was sent to Camp Comeback along with a returning David.
  • Camp Comeback will send one of the first four sent packing back into the game. Ovi and David are not allowed to play the actual game, cannot play in comps or participate in nomination or veto ceremonies, or vote in the eviction. HOWEVER they are allowed to play a social game.
  • Sam won the Veto and used it to save Cliff, and Christie named Ovi as the replacement
  • Ovi was 'evicted' except he wasn't, as explained above. The vote was a unanimous 12-0
  • Jack won HoH, much to viewers disappointment given what is happening in there that the TV viewers are not seeing as in his threatening racist behaviour
Tonight sees Douchebag Jack make his nominations, and the Chaos Whacktivity gets underway

So without further ado, let's do this.....

After the bombshell reveal of Camp COmeback there are a few squeaky bottoms in there most noticeably from Douchebag Jack, Trapjaw Jackson, and also Christie. The reasons being Christie faked an alliance with Ovi which could put her in danger, Jackson banished David so David could come after Trapjaw, and Jack has to do some damage control in the event of David or Ovi coming back.

Trapjaw is heading to try and smooth things over with Ovi. Ovi tells us the power he won is just suspended for now and will be reactivated should he get back into the house. Jackson assures Jack that Ovi knows they have his back, which I personally seriously doubt. They didn't bother to save him in the eviction, so why should he trust those two troublemakers now?

David admits to Kathryn that this is not the way he would have preferred to be in the house, but he's just glad to be back. They make a pact to have each other's backs, and she thinks if the comp to get back in is a physical comp David WILL be back. Still two more to send into Camp Comeback, so it all depends really which other two will be sent.

One of my favourites at the moment, Nicole (as she is so adorable), is comforting Ovi and telling him about Douchebag and Trapjaw's treachery, leaving Ovi in doubt over who he can trust.

Chaos Whacktivity

Signed up for this one are Tommy, Jack, Jackson, Holly and Sam. This one involves snakes, and each player will see 3 special snakes in their 3 boxes and they have to find the live snake for each box which matches exactly what the special snake looks like. Fastest player wins the Chaos power.

Order of play: Tommy, Sam, Holly, Jackson and Jack

Was a very quick competition, which unfortunately was another win for Douchebag Jack

Chaos Power - Allows the holder to force a Veto redraw, as in changing the players picked if Jack doesn't like who is playing. As with the Nightmare Power, this can only be used once and is only valid for 6 weeks.

Bit of filler up next as we get some Love Island USA crossover promotion and some familiar faces pop up as in Winston, Brett, Chris and Bayleigh. You may remember Chris as Swaggy C, but I prefer Chris as I am not a fan of that nickname he gives himself. Anyways, they announce that this week's Veto winner will win a trip for 2 to Fiji.

Back to the game, Holly and Jackson are talking Jackson's possible showmance with Kathryn, and already Jackson is having doubts about it. As Mickey said to Rocky once, "Woman weaken legs". Jackson admits Kathryn is a little clingy, and she doesn't bring much to the table (or words to that effect, and his words not mine). He then decides Holly is a better showmance for him, cue Kathryn appearing out of nowhere making things very awkward indeed.

In a conversation with Douchebag, he has already made his mind up to ditch Kathryn. It's just telling her now.

Which leads us to "Don't take this the wrong way but...." speech from Jackson to Kathryn, and needless to say she does not take it well. I believe the words would be "go. to. hell", at least I think so. You are better off without him anyway, Kathryn, and can do a lot better than him.

Girl talk in the camper as Jessica, Isabella and Nicole discuss a possible all women's alliance and Jessica seems confident the women could be very strong this season against the men. The Black Widows is the name that is being thrown around, to which Bella approves. In comes Kemi, who is briefed about this potential alliance.

Bella seems to be getting herself in a few alliances, it's a pity she's such a snitch. She suggests girl alliances rarely work, and she won't rely on Jessica, Kemii and Nicole to take her to the end. Staying with Bella, and she is working hard to make sure this new alliance doesn't get back to Douchebag and ruin her own game. Like the rat she is, she goes back to gr8ful, or should that be h8ful according to some on social media just so they know who everybody is working for. Almost immediately she snitches on the Black Widows, saying Jessica has no game play. Jack says Kemi and Jessica were on his radar for nominations anyway

As expected Jessica eventually finds out Jack knows, and now claims her alliance wasn't an alliance at all. Jack's mind is already made up so his nominations won't really be a shock at all

Nominations ceremony

Reminder, Ovi and David don't participate in the nominations and Veto ceremonies, but they will watch on a monitor in Camp Comeback.

Jack nominates KEMI and JESSICA. The reason being that they don't talk much game, and he has heard from reliable sources they were coming after him and formed an alliance he is not a part of.

Some unfortunate comment from Jack then, as in he says needs to be a gun and take them out one by one. Jessica is understandably upset, and doesn't know who she can trust. Kemi is not suprised she is on the block, and calls Jack a moron.

To be continued in Episode 7, with the next Veto competition which has that trip for 2 to Fiji up for grabs

And that is that for this episode, and may I say the sooner Jack is out of there the better. He is a nasty piece of work, and how he hasn't been expelled from the house already is a complete misery.

Anyways, thanks for reading this post, it is very much appreciated

Some unfortunate news in the podcasting world in that My Little Eye, the Big Brother Radio spin off will no longer be broadcasting for this series due to lack of interest. However Garry and Erica will be back for a few specials, and who knows maybe the good doctor himself will be back on the air with them. Any links for these specials will be duly posted on these posts, as and when they are uploaded.

May I just say a big thank you to Garry and Erica, and if either of you read these posts, for all the hard work you did for My Little Eye in 2019, and am looking forward to hearing these specials whenever they happen.

As for BB on Blast, their latest offering can be found right here, and the most recent addition to my linkage family in Julie Girl have brought out a new pod which can be found here

Don't forget Rob has a Podcast every day with a show, whether it be live feed updates, episode analysis, roundtable discussion, etc.

Big Brother USA 2019 - Episode 5 - Eviction and HoH

In our previous Big Brother adventure, David left the game before he had really started, but he will be back as we will see in this episode. Christie won the first HoH of the season, but was it really her HoH or was Jack having just a little too much influence. Christie decided to originally nominate Kathryn and Cliff

Fast forwarding to the Veto, and a familiar face as in last year's one catchphrase Kaycee came back to guest host Food Fight which saw Sam take the honours. Seeing potential in Cliff that is where the Veto was used, and Ovi was named in Cliff's place.

Speaking of Ovi, he won the first secret power of the season when he won the Nightmare Whacktivity, which basically means he can wake up the not rights in the middle of the night and call for a snap nominations ceremony. But him being on the block could put paid to that power if he ends up going....

And so back to the present, and we find out Camp Comeback will be opening it's doors. The first 4 out will be in this particular room, so David is already there and Ovi or Kathryn will be joining him after this episode. The rules are evictees will still live in the house, but they are not in the game. No participating in comps, can't participate in nominations/veto ceremonies, no voting in the eviction. The only thing they can do is play the social game.

Only 1 from the first 4 evicted will earn their place back in the house, so looks like a comp akin to Battle of the Block when we have the other 3 in Camp Comeback.

All clear now, I hope....Shall we check in for some brief highlights as there is a lot to get through with the eviction, HoH and the Camp Comeback reveal

So into house action, and naturally Ovi is feeling quite disappointed about being named as the replacement nomination after Cliff was saved by Sam. Christie tells him that he is only a pawn, but that girl says one thing and then does another. He does take it all seriously, as his campaigning to stay in and he gets a general vote of confidence that he will be staying in the house. Oh how little they do when they find out about this incoming twist (insert evil laugh here).

As for Kathryn, we have never ending segments of her asking if they are conspiring against her which does get quite tedious after a while. I can't see her being there that long, out long before jury starts would be my best bet.

Meanwhile, back with Ovi, for some bizarre reason he has decided to reveal his power to a select few. If he stays in, won't that just put a target on his back as some of them will now it was him. And to reveal it to the naughty boys (more on that in a bit) Jack and Jackson is just asking for trouble.

Eviction

As usual, the HoH will only vote in the event of a tie and the two nominees are not allowed to vote.

Would like to make a note of the number of shoutouts to family and friends in this eviction was bordering on ridiculous...

On to the vote, and I won't list who got shouted out during this vote otherwise we'll be here forever

Basically, EVERYBODY who could vote voted out Ovi, but little did they know what was about to happen....

While Ovi is saying his goodbyes, the bugle sounds and Julie tells everyone to go back to the sofas. She reveals to them about Camp Comeback, and.....Well you know the rules

Ovi and David make themselves comfortable in Camp Comeback where they will be joined by two more, then we see who goes back in via some sort of competition

But that's not the end of the show by a long shot, as now.....

HoH competition

As outgoing HoH, Christie is not eligible to compete, and in case you missed it, David and Ovi are not eligible to play either due to being in Camp Comeback. David and Ovi are also locked in, so they won't be able to see anything, but they will hear everything.

This competition is called BB Fireworks Quiztacular, and here is how it works. Straight knockout for now, and a different fireworks display will appear on the big screen, and they must use observation to answer correctly and the answer can be one of RED, WHITE or BLUE.

Order of elimination:

Nick
Tommy
Holly
Kathryn
Analyse
Bella
Kemi
Cliff
Sam
Nicole
Jackson
Jessica

Unfortunately, Douchebag Jack is the new HoH much to social media's disappointment

One more shot of David and Ovi in their new surroundings....

And that's where proceedings ended....We will find out who Douchebag nominates, and we will also see the next Whacktivity to see who gets the next secret power in Episode 6

On a serious note though, how Jack and Jackson are still in the house is beyond me. Despite the warnings they got from production on the live feeds, they are still in there running their disgusting filthy racist mouths. If this were the UK version, they would have been out through the back door, no questions or explanations. Come on Grodner, you threw out Chima for constantly breaking the rules, yet you appear to be doing NOTHING about these two. Consistency is your friend, use it wisely.

Anyways back on tangent, and if you missed BB on Blast or Big Brother Radio, listen here and here, and always Rob has a Podcast has round the clock podcasts, whether it be about the latest televised episodes, live feed updates, etc. so be sure to check them out...Link over on the right >>>>>

And so, my friends, there you have your recap for the eviction. Will be interesting to see who joins David and Ovi in Camp Comeback, and remember only one can return to the game.

Big Brother USA 2019 - Episodes 3+4 - Nominations and Power of Veto

When we last left our latest houseguests:

  • Jackson became Camp Director, which guaranteed him immunity from the first eviction
  • Jackson chose Cliff, Kemi, Jessica and David for potential banishment from the game
  • Cliff, Jessica and Kemi all made it back, but David is banished.....at least for now
  • Christie won the first HoH of the season
  • The beginnings of an alliance was formed with Nick, Jackson, Jack, Christie, Bella and Holly

Tonight sees a new secret power up for grabs, and Christie will make the first nominations of the series.....PLUS as this is a double helping of a post as I write this we will also find out who won the first Power of Veto of this series

We pick up the action after Christie's HoH win, and Jackson is feeling very confident about this particular win as he is part of the new alliance with Christie.

Meanwhile, Kathryn is blissfully unaware she is talking to some members of the new alliance, and as expected Bella is straight off to report in to headquarters. In turn this does put a potential target on Kathryn's back, as Christie hints at putting Kathryn on the chopping block for running her mouth too much.

The new alliance wants to put their numbers up to 8, the two being tried out are Tommy, who doesn't really need any encouragement, and also Analyse. Hmmm, can't see this alliance lasting too long, and all the splinter groups will form sooner rather than later.

Meanwhile, Christie is turning on the waterworks in front of Cliff as she discusses her possible nominations with him. Have to say I am warming to Cliff, as he can see through some of the gameplay. But then again on the live feeds he does shout out various podcasts, mostly it's Rob has a Podcast.

New Power time

The rules are as follows:

Five houseguests per week will play
The three choices of games are Nightmare, Chaos or Panic

Nightmare - Kathryn, Isabella, Nicole, Cliff and Ovi
Chaos - Holly, Tommy, Jack, Jackson, and Sam
Panic - Analyse, Nick, Christie, Jessica and Kemi

Nightmare up first, so step forward those who signed up for it

It's a game of smells, and they have to match up the foul smells in the 3 buckets with 3 smells in the backyard. The first person to get all 3 correct wins the Nightmare power

After much gagging and wretching, Ovi emerges the winner and gets said power.

Basically what this power will entail is that he has the power to wake up everyone and call a snap nomination ceremony and change that week's HoH's nominations. The original two on the block will be immune for that week. As with most powers, it does have a time limit and this particular one is only valid for 6 weeks or it will expire, and also it can only be used once.

Oh dear, and now Ovi is trying to set up his own alliance not knowing some of the already alliance are in the room with him

Something really unpleasant about Aquaman Jack, apparently on live feeds he and Jackson have already had a warning about intimidating behaviour towards Kemi. Thought I would point that out as it probably won't be shown on the televised episodes

Nomination ceremony

Reminder, Jackson is immune and can't be nominated. Christie nominates CLIFF and KATHRYN. She explains that neither nomination is personal, and gets a bit emotional in the process. Cliff is confident he is not going anywhere, and already Christie is having doubts about putting those two on the block.

So automatically entered into the Veto comp will be Christie, Cliff and Kathryn. Can Cliff or Kathryn work a miracle and win the Veto to save themselves? Stay tuned as we will find out in a little while when we step into the Veto episode.

Onwards and upwards we go, and straight in the Veto episode

We pick up the action in this episode straight after nominations, and already the alliance of 8 is discussing putting Kemi on the block as a backdoor option....

Buckets at the ready, showmance being teased between Jackson and Kathryn which thankfully Jackson shoots down, at least for now anyway.

Veto competition

Ding dong, and who should walk through the door as guest host for this competition but none other than last year's winner Kaycee, who only seems to know two words 'LET'S GO'. This particular competition is called Food Fight, and it entails catching Kaycee's favourite foods before the food hits the floor. The catch is that the players have to slide down a slip and slide to catch these foods. There will be points awarded for catching the various foods, and no penalties or forfeits for finishing last. The player with the most points after all 3 rounds are done will win the Power of Veto

Joining Christie, Cliff and Kathryn in the Veto comp will be Sam, Jack and Nicole

Naturally it's all very messy from the get go, but the scores are in:

Christie - 10
Jack - 20
Cliff - 0
Kathryn - 0
Nicole - 0
Sam - 21

Winner and Veto holder - Sam

Post comp, Nick suggests to Sam to use the Veto on Cliff as Cliff has been through enough already in these last few day. Rather inclined to agree there, and the fact he is potentially so much more than deadwood makes it a lock for me.

Talk then turns back to Kemi being a backdoor target should the Veto be used, but Christie is reluctant to consider Kemi as she is considered an ally. First signs of this so called super alliance starting to fracture as Jack is really pressuring Christie to backdoor Kemi, but she then tells us if Jack doesn't watch his step, it will be him going on the block instead.

Still with the backdoor decision, Christie is really working herself up as she feels she is not being allowed her HoH the way she wants to run it, and tells Adorable Nicole that she feels like Jack is running everything. Next up Christie goes to talk to Sam, and tells him about Jack possibly strong arming everyone in the alliance to tell her to backdoor Kemi.

She tells Sam this is his Veto and he can do what he wants, and Sam tells her he is going to save Cliff. Not much reaction from Christie, as she mentions he was going to be saved anyway.

All of a sudden, Ovi walks in and a lightbulb goes up above Sam's head once Ovi has left the room in that Ovi could be the backdoor option. Christie now has it down to 3 from Ovi, Kemi or Jack.

Veto ceremony

As expected, Sam uses the Veto on Cliff. In this event, the HoH has to pick a replacement nominee. Here it comes, the moment of truth. Christie has opted for OVI as the replacement.

Reminder, Ovi can only use his power for a nomination ceremony and can't for a Veto meeting. So looks like the power could be wasted already if Ovi goes out the door in the next episode

As it stands heading into the eviction:

Outgoing HoH - Christie
Nominated post Veto - Ovi and Kathryn

In case you missed it, David not quite gone yet as he will be part of a never done before on Big Brother twist in the eviction episode.

Will this result in him going back in, Ovi or Kathryn going back in or neither.....Find out in Episode 5

And there we have it before the eviction, and thank you anyone who will be reading these posts. It's very much appreciated.

Big Brother USA 2019 - Episode 2 - Launch pt.2 and HoH

In our last Big Brother adventure:

  • 16 new houseguests
  • Tommy and Christie knew each other, but opted to keep it quiet so not to get that target on their backs
  • Jackson, Cliff, Jessica and David put their names in the ring for Camp Director
  • Jackson won the vote, and got the first power of the season
  • Everyone else found their way to a major gunging surprise
  • Jackson found out he had to 'banish' four houseguests, and they will compete in a forthcoming challenge where one will be banished for the game

Tonight we find out who Jackson decides to banish for said competition, and also the first HoH of the season will be crowned

And a whole load of gameplaying sandwiched in between no doubt, liking the look of this lot as they are not messing about straight off the bat with all the pitching to Jackson to make sure they are not one of the four who will be banished.

And that is where we start for tonight, as once Jackson chooses a houseguest for banishment, a giant squirrel with a swag bag will come in and take the pick away.

Cue the houseguests panicking every time this squirrel walks in, and first to be chosen by Jackson is Cliff 'Boss' Hogg followed by Kemi, Jessica and finally David

Come into the light

Nice little competition where the mentioned four have to find their way back to the main house in pitch black conditions, but as it's Big Brother, not all is as seems as there will be several detours which of course they can't see due to the darkness

After much scrambling about in the darkness, Cliff is back first followed by Kemi and Jessica. Julie tells David that as he finished in last place he will be banished, and then the key words....for now.

Back to house action, and we hear more of Christie and Tommy's connection as in Christie dated a member of Tommy's family. Tommy is hoping this won't be a curse going forward, as in none of the other houseguests finding out.

Bromance alert with Jack and Jackson, you know Jack who looks like Aquaman. He is hoping he won't be in deep water and will surface out of the house at the end with the grand prize. But only 2 episodes down so we have a LONG way to go yet, and anything can and probably will happen between now and the end.

HoH competition

It's endurance to get things started for this series, and Jackson has a final duty to perform in picking pairs for this competition

He picks:

Kathryn and Jack
Sam and Nicole
Holly and Ovi
Isabella and Nick
Analyse and Cliff
Christie and Kemi
Tommy and Jessica

Notes, although they are paired up the HoH will still be an individual. So whoever is last left on their log, is the new HoH. As Camp Director, Jackson, is ineligible to compete as he is already safe due to his Camp Director power. Of course it won't be made easy by the houseguests having several items dropped on them such as gunge and whatever else.....

Order of elimination:

Jessica
Jack
Kathryn
Nick
Ovi
Sam
Kemi
Cliff
Isabella
Nicole
Analyse
Holly
Tommy

Winner and first HoH of the season is CHRISTIE

Before the end of the episode, Julie mentions the new twist which is called the Whacktivity comp, which is basically a secret power that will be up for grabs. She then goes to say that while David has been banished, we have not seen the last of him and he will be popping up again during the eviction episode in something never before seen on Big Brother.

Next up in Episode 3, we will have the new twist mentioned, along with Christie's nominations. Who will she fire the opening salvos at?

To be continued.....

Thank you for popping in and reading these posts as always, and keep the likes, retweets, shares and comments coming in. Everything is very much appreciated.

Podcast alerts!!!!!

BB on Blast have dropped a new pod which can be found right here, and also Garry and Erica from Big Brother Radio have released a new pod as well right here

As always Rob has a Podcast will be on the air every day at certain times whether it be discussing the live feed happenings, episodes just aired and various roundtables. Link on the right >>>>>>

As far as that particular episode goes, a most enjoyable episode with the comps to stay in and to decide the HoH. Feel bad for David as nobody should be gone on the first or second night, but as Julie said we haven't seen the last of him, and I for one am really interested to see what part he will play during the eviction episode.

Much too early yet to decide favourites as we are only two episodes in, but for me most adorable at the moment has to go to Nicole. She seems harmless enough.

Anyways, follow me on Twitter at richiew4ever

Until next time, stay frosty, keep on rocking and cheerio for now.....

Big Brother USA 2019 - Episode 1 - Launch pt.1

Off we go again, citizens, for another summer of hopefully fun and frolics as we head into the final Big Brother for 2019, and it's back down south to the good old US of A for the civilian version

This year's theme is based around summer camp, and without further ado, let's meet our contenders for this year who are hoping to follow in Kaycee's footsteps and take home the half million dollars grand prize

Contestants:

  • Analyse, 22 (pronounced Arnaleese) from California
  • Christie, 28, from Staten Island, New York
  • Cliff, 53, from Houston in Texas
  • David, 29, from Atlanta in Georgia
  • Holly, 31, from Lander in Wyoming
  • Isabella, 22, from New Jersey
  • Jack, 28, from Chicago
  • Jackson, 23, from Tennessee
  • Jessica, 30ish, from Chicago
  • Kathryn Dunn, 29, from Dallas in Texas
  • Kemi, 25, from New York
  • Nick, 27, from New Jersey
  • Nicole, 24, from New York
  • Ovi, 22, from Tennessee
  • Sam, 31, from Pennsylvania
  • Tommy, 28, from New York
And there we have our 2019 houseguests, and now down to business as they will be going in 4 at a time

Tommy, Jack, Kathryn and Nicole are the first four to enter, let's see who may get the first in curse this year and it's.......TOMMY.

But then again, that particular curse was broken earlier this year when Tamar was first into the celebrity house and she ended up winning, could it be more like a good omen this year for Tommy? Only time will tell I guess

Jackson, Ovi, Kemi and Holly are the final four in from this group of eight, and already Kathryn has her eye on Aquaman, sorry I mean Jack. Think he may be in demand from all the straight girls in there, and who can blame them. Looks just like Aquaman, and he did say in his VT after all that he hears that almost every day.

Before cutting to break, Mrs Chen Moonves informs us that some of the houseguests may already know each other, but sharing that information if they do could put themselves in danger and that target going straight on them.

Next in from the second group are Cliff, Analyse, Isabella and David. Early indications showing that Jack and Jackson are starting to bond already and could form an alliance.

And the final 4 not rights into the fold are Christie, Sam, Nick and Jessica. But wait, Tommy shares with us that he knows Christie, as she used to date one of his family members. Has to be a female as Christie is openly gay, and he says that he will have to play this close to his chest as it could be a very short stay for him if anyone finds out. Nothing is sacred in that house, and I wager it will be out in the open in a short while.

Told you Jack would be in demand as Analyse, Nicole, Kemi, Kathryn, and gay Tommy all have their eye on him, while Jack's new running buddy Jackson has set his sights on Analyse.

Sofa gatherage as Julie calls them to the sofas, and reveals that for the first time in North American BB at least, the houseguests will nominate a camp director. What this entails is as follows:

  • Immunity from the first eviction
  • Will impact the first HoH
  • Could put everyone else's game in jeopardy
Nominations for Camp Director are CLIFF, JESSICA, JACKSON and DAVID

Next up we see the candidates throwing in their pitches as to why they should have this illustrious position, with Jessica and Jackson looking like being the front runners.

Little do they know what awaits them when the results are revealed, and let's just say it's gets very messy indeed.....

Fast forward to said vote results which resulted in everyone except the vote winner getting sprayed with gunge, and for one person aka Isabella it literally knocked her off her feet

Zero votes - Tommy, Holly, Christie, Kemi, Cliff, Isabella, Nicole, Ovi, Kathryn, David and Analyse
One vote - Nick and Jack
4 votes - Jessica

Winner with 10 votes and current Camp Director is JACKSON

But there is yet another twist as Jackson must choose 4 houseguests to banish, and the chosen 4 will participate in a competition and the top 3 will return to the house while last place will be evicted.

Also in episode 2, we will see the first HoH Comp of the season and it will be endurance....Who will take the HoH power and who do they nominate?

To be continued in episode 2

Not a bad start at all, and there is quite a lot of potential in there for a pretty good game this season. Looking forward to seeing what alliances there will be, but please let's not have one alliance completely dominate and drain the life out of the show

First impressions are of a competitive bunch, and let's see what they bring to the table as we move further into this year's series

There will be some new links going up on the right for this season as well, so watch out for them....

Be sure to catch the Big Brother Radio spin off My Little Eye with Garry and Erica right here as they run their eyes over this years cast, and also a new addition to the link family in Julie Girl, with their cast analysis right here

BB on Blast will be dropping a new pod soon with their take on the episodes, along with Rob has a Podcast, who as always will be on air shortly after each televised episode and most probably every day with live feed updates and round table discussions and whatever else comes with this season.

That being said, thank you for reading my posts as always. I know I am a novice at this particular format of Big Brother, but I do try as I will try all summer to give reader satisfaction.

That being said, follow me on Twitter at richiew4ever

Fingers crossed for a good season, and until next time we meet stay frosty, keep on rocking and cheerio....

Big Brother Canada 2019 - Episode 29 - Finale

And so it's come down to the final 3 of Dane, Anthony and Kyra, after Adam was evicted in 4th place. One will walk away with the grand prize, who wins? The jury of Samantha, Cory, Estefania, Damien, Mark, Adam and whoever finishes 3rd place will decide

Basically what will happen is that the final 3 will compete in 2 or 3 comps, to which the winner of part 1 will advance to part 3, and the other 2 will compete in part 2 to take on the winner of part 1 to decide the final HoH of the season. Once the final HoH is decided, the person who is HoH will have the casting vote on who to send to jury in 3rd place.

Once the jury is assembled, and we know who the final 2 is then the jury will ask the final 2 questions and then the jury cast their votes, to which Arisa will reveal the result of near the end of the broadcast. Whoever has most votes will be declared the winner of Big Brother Canada.

Hope that explains things, and now over to the show and we kick things off with a rather lengthy recap of the season before we head straight into the first part of the final HoH comp

HoH comp part 1

What the inmates have to do here is balance 25 crystals on their respective platforms, but the catch is they have to wade under bamboo bars and not disturb the platform they have to balance the crystals on, as it's floating on the water. If the crystals crash down, then it all has to be done from scratch. The first houseguest to balance 25 on their platform advances to part 3.

Dane tells us he thrives on pressure, and has been dreaming of this moment. Anthony is very confident about this competition, and compares himself to a great white shark and refers to Dane and Kyra as dolphins. Kyra says they are not weak, and wants to give a good showing in this comp

Lots of close calls with them all making it to the 20's before the stacks collapse, and then we see several more attempts but this comp is a lot harder than it looks as we see a string of collapses

But then, Dane manages to stack the 25 needed and he gets the light shone on him to indicate he is the winner of part 1.

Winner and advancing to part 3 - DANE

Kyra and Anthony will compete in part 2, to earn the right to play Dane in part 3

HoH comp part 2 - Kyra v Anthony

And it's a memory comp, something Kyra should have no problem with Anthony is particularly useless at.

The gist of this one is to stack up 4 answer blocks to correspond with questions asked about the season. Timed competition, so fastest will win and advance to play Dane in part 3

Kyra is very quick out of the blocks, and manages to get over the line in their heat after a few little stumbles

As for Anthony, he has a complete brain freeze at the crucial moment, and makes the rookie mistake of giving up which a big no no at this stage of the season.

Winner and advancing to part 3 to play Dane will be KYRA

Jury segment

And taking their place as jury adviser is Ika from seasons 2 and 5, and she reveals the 6th juror is ADAM. Lucky us, the showmance is reunited complete with heavy petting. He describes how his departure came about. They can see Dane is excelling at the game, and to be fair he is, and they also admit Kyra shouldn't have got this far. Ika brings up about who broke up the Pretty Boys, but then again it was the ONLY move Kyra could make so it was hardly a big move as such.

HoH comp part 3 - Dane v Kyra

Trivia to finish things off, and it's about the members of the jury in an A or B format

1. On what day did the Secret Assassin nominate Cory for eviction

Both correct

2. Adam only lost one Veto competition he competed in

Both correct

3. What day was Mark voted for the block for the second time

Both correct

4. How many jury members played in the Comp Beast Hall of Fame competition

Dane correct and takes the lead, Kyra starts to have a meltdown

5. How many jury members have NOT won a competition

Dane correct and goes further ahead

6. Over the course of the season, how many times was the Veto used on a member of the jury

Dane wins and he is the final HoH of the season and locks in his place at the final 2, and he also has the casting vote to send Anthony or Kyra to jury

3rd place eviction

Dane decides to evict Kyra, and boy does Kyra lose it with Dane. Sums up Kyra really in this season, always spit their dummy out when things don't go their way. They tell Arisa they got played several times, and comes across as quite petulant in their interview.

Jury introduction

Samantha, Cory, Estefania, Damien, Mark and Adam take their seats. Arisa then introduces them to the final jury member, Kyra. Lots of happy faces on the jury I might add.

Honest opinion, Dane came off better in regards to the ensuing questions. However, last year's final 2 of Kaela and Paras were a bit better as they were so much more passionate, even though they were talking at warp speed and trying to outdo each other in the shouting stakes

And so we move to the jury vote where all the votes are locked in, shame Kyra can't let go of the disappointment and has to come across as petulant as they do even when placing their vote.

Pre jury evictees

Laura, Maki, Kailyn, Chelsea, Eddie and Kiera are introduced and we see various clips of their time in the house. In my opinion, Chelsea and Kiera should have lasted much longer if not for certain twists which screwed their time in there, especially Kiera thanks to the never mentioned again Blood Veto. A twist which Kyra could have made a REAL big move, and got rid of Mark and we may have had a bit of a competition.

Meltdown segment now, as in the biggest meltdowns from the series.....Moving swiftly on to the top secrets montage, and please note there is NO mention of the Blood Veto. Whether that is due to time constraints or it was deliberately left out, you decide.

And it's time......

Finale result

Samantha voted for Dane

Cory voted for Dane
Estefania voted for Dane
Damien voted for Dane

Winner of Big Brother Canada 2019 is DANE!!!!!!!

Adam, Mark and Kyra all voted for Dane, so it was a unanimous vote

Cue the confetti as Dane and Anthony come out of the house

Right winner and final 2, and Anthony paid the price for not engaging his memory as much as he did his mouth. I wouldn't have been disappointed though if Anthony won, as it has been basically a Pretty Boy steamroll most of the season. They had no opposition in there, as nobody thought to set up a counter alliance and hence no power shifts or the Pretty Boys taking any hits until final 5, when Kyra could only make one move in putting two Pretty Boys up.

So, it's a little break now until about mid June when we head back down south for civilian series 21 of Big Brother USA with Mrs Chen Moonves still at the helm.

New pod alert as in Lynsey and Gaz covering the final few episodes on BB on Blast, right here

Rob has a Podcast also have their finale dissection up and it can be located by clicking on their link to the right, and it should be noted they will be doing some final roundtables and dissection for this season before USA starts

In fact thank you to all the podcasters and bloggers for all their hard work in this season, you know who you are and it is all very much appreciated :)

And speaking of thank yous, a big thanks from me to everyone who has popped in over the course of the season and liked, shared, retweeted or even commented. Looking forward to doing it again, when we go again for USA in a few weeks time.

Shame there is no UK version to jump straight into as the house is now officially gone and a new home has yet to be confirmed in regards to transmission. Fingers crossed the UK can get that new home, preferably one that will treat it with a little respect.

That being said, it's time to close the doors and catch a breather for the final Big Brother adventure for 2019 in a few weeks. Once again a thousand thanks to everyone who has popped in to read these posts, I promise one day I will understand fully the North American format of Big Brother after so many years of the UK format.

Until such time that Big Brother USA starts up, stay frosty, keep on rocking and for the final time this season, cheerio.....

Big Brother Canada 2019 - Episode 28 - Veto and Eviction

The most crucial Veto of the season is up for grabs, as the embers start dying on this series and one from Dane, Adam, Anthony or Kyra will be crowned the winner

HoH - Dane
Nominated pre Veto - Adam and Kyra

Everyone will take part in this final Veto of the season, and as stated the most crucial Veto of the season as one from Anthony, Adam or Kyra will miss out on the finale

But first, Arisa goes to the house and tells them of the incoming eviction......

We pick things up after the nomination ceremony, and Adam is being told he is the pawn to get Kyra out. But we know this is not true, as the edit has been hinting at Adam being shown the door. His loyalty will be his ultimate undoing, I reckon. Kyra knows there is a plan to get Adam out, and they hope it's honoured. Dane admits Adam is too dangerous to keep in the game.

Dane talks to Kyra about said plan to get rid of Adam, and Dane says Adam has to be lulled into a false sense of security so he doesn't catch on it's him going, and have to rely on Anthony as Anthony will have the sole vote if Dane wins Veto.

Veto competition

Everyone plays now, including the HoH, and the competition is called Veto Hunter. Kudos to the comp designers, as this is a really top notch set up. Basically it's based on an 8 bit video game, and they have to explore and find the questions and then the houseguest the question is referring to. If they believe the answer is correct, they can lock it in and if correct they will get a veto. However if they collect 5 coins and put them in a box, then they will get a minute added onto their time.

Kyra - Doesn't do very well, after saying they are very confident of winning this competition, they quickly dissolve into tears when it all starts going wrong.

Adam - Starts well, but loses one question which eats up a lot of time. Could be crucial at the end.

Anthony - Absolute disaster, and guarantees last place in the comp as he did not finish

Dane - He is not sure he has won this and thinks Adam has won

Finishing times:

Last - Anthony (Did not finish)
3rd - Kyra (54:05)
2nd - Adam (29:10)

Winner and final Veto holder - Dane

Adam, by this point, knows he is gone and it really does feel like a formality. Dane says he will not use the Veto, and will let Anthony have the sole vote to get rid of Adam. The remaining not so Pretty Boys then share a moment with their pose. Anthony is still convinced this is the best alliance in history, probably in his own mind but everyone knows it is far from the best as there's basically been no opposition to the boys in this season.

Jury segment

Mark's turn to go into the jury house, and he admits to the Pretty Boys much to Cory's anger as she claims she was lied to by Anthony. He shows the jury the tape of Kyra winning HoH, and Sam is chuffed that Kyra won something and hints at throwing a vote at them should they make final 2. Mark thinks he can sway the jury votes any way he wants.

Back to the house, and the remaining Pretty Boys discuss the next step and neither Dane or Anthony can look Adam in the eye when he asks them about possibly being cut, making him even more certain he's toast.

As stated earlier, Adam's been too loyal for his own good as he gets really emotional talking about Dane and Anthony's loyalty in the game and how he had their backs when the alliance was set up. Dane says he feels sick about making this move, but Adam would be very difficult to beat.

Adam goes to talk to Anthony as he is the sole vote, and does a last minute pitch to keep him in over Kyra and promises to take Anthony to final 2, warning him Dane will take Kyra to final 2. But in all honesty the decision has already been made.

Veto ceremony

Before that, they get to see some messages from some of the fans, who say the houseguests have been very inspirational in their own little ways. Back to business and Kyra and Adam make their final pleas.

Dane decides NOT to use the Veto, so it will be Kyra or Adam leaving, but it's just a formality really.

Eviction

Anthony drags out his decision pretending it's a really hard one, but we all know what's coming and most who are still watching are screaming JUST GET ON WITH IT.

And to no shock to anyone, Anthony with his sole vote evicts ADAM

In his interview with Arisa, he is in a little shock that he was betrayed like that and goes into a little detail about how he's disappointed with Anthony. He then says Dane will win overall, and take Kyra to final 2 and make Anthony regret his decision.

Talk then turns to Samantha, and he says she will be a little upset when he walks through the door of the jury house. Arisa then closes the interview and then talks about the finale

Kyra, Dane or Anthony....Who will win? The jury decides as this season comes to a conclusion in Episode 29
