Big Brother USA 2019 - Episode 22 - Power of Veto

When last we left the houseguests, Tommy had won HoH

He nominated Cliff and Kat, while the Field Trip was egg-cruciating for Christie as she finished up in last place and ended up on the block as the third nominee for this week

Meanwhile, her nemesis Jackson won immunity for winning the Field Trip, while Analyse ended up in a chicken suit for a week. Hardly a punishment, but then again Analyse has been pretty invisible this season.

So, anyways, we move into another Veto episode as the nominees look to win Veto and take themself off the block and potentially away from a trip to the jury house for at least another week, and Tommy has said that Kat is his target this week.

A lot of crying ahead, as Christie gets emotional as she thinks America hates her. Oh she has no idea, as she will hang out with the wrong crowd won't she. Jackson would love to be picked for Veto, and it would make his day if Christie was sent packing.

Kat has gone from 60 to zero in terms of happiness, as she is crying as well about being nominated. She is telling Nick he has to get picked for the Veto comp, and he promises he will do all he can to take her off the block. A little hug from Jessica follows, and she admits she does not want to be on the block next to Cliff.

Kat getting hugs all round now as Jackson and Cliff come in to comfort her as well. Jessica advises Kat not to pick Jackson for the Veto, as he said he would fight for her as well. Cliff reminds Kat there are two chances to win Veto, and to send Christie packing.

Christie now saying how unfair it is to be on the block. Does she know what show she's on? Lot of F words coming out as she goes into another panic. More tears in the Diary Room. Nick is telling her that she didn't do anything to be put up. Myself personally I would call it sour grapes on her part, and she should just suck it up and get the hell off her butt and start campaigning.

Pointless segment now with Tommy and Nick. Nick apparently has a crush on Tommy, and we are shown clips of said flirting. Tommy says if only Nick played for the same team he did. Moving swiftly on.....

Tommy as part of his BB Explorer punishment, now has to initiate the Speed of Light. Shortly afterward the punishment is done and Tommy is delighted.

Veto picks

Tommy, Christie, Cliff and Kat are automatically playing as HoH and nominees respectively. This week the picks are a little different, as Tommy will make the two random draws. If he draws out his name or one of the nominees, then that person makes the pick to who will be playing. Sort of a variation of Houseguests choice if you will.

He draws CHRISTIE, and she picks NICK. Second token is CLIFF and he picks JACKSON.

Jackson is obviously delighted with this, and he is confident he can win this comp and get Christie out of there and to jury.

Cliff tells us how focused he is on this Veto. He chased Jack out, and he sure as hell won't be chased out as well. He wants Christie out, and really wants this Veto. He then subjects us to a Cliff dance.

Jackson and Analyse are talking are talking about forming a five player alliance with Jack gone. She reminds Jackson they all have to trust each other. Jackson thinks Christie will put him and Holly up without hesitation, he then goes to say something but hesitates in case it gets reported back to Christie.

Analyse promises she won't say anything, and Jackson tells her he wants Christie out and they wouldn't even have to get blood on their hands. A short time later, Jackson says he would rather play in traffic than work with Christie. Safe to say those two won't be exchanging Christmas cards. Analyse pitches that working with Christie could be good for his game, but Jackson is still reluctant.and says he would be stupid not to take this chance to get Christie out the door.

Veto (OTEV) competition

Waiting for them in the backyard is the paranoid pigeon, and he says, amongst all the ribbing he gives the houseguests, that he'll give a clue about a competition from this summer he'd like to visit and the answer will be hidden in the swamp before them. Simply, the name of the competition is on a tag which they must find amongst the muck in the swamp. The last player to present the answer in each round will be eliminated. The last player standing will win the Veto.

Eliminations in order:

1. Jackson
2. Cliff
3. Christie
4. Kat
5. Nick

Tommy has won Veto and all the power this week, somewhat unfortunately. Don't think we need a Veto ceremony for this one....

Christie is her usual smug self again, knowing she will be safe while everyone else apart from Tommy is kicking themselves. A good chance to get Christie out gone. Just wish they could somehow be tipped off about Tommy and Christie's outside connection, as it is a somewhat unfair advantage.

Now we can only hope Christie doesn't win the next HoH as that would be a total and complete nightmare.

Veto ceremony

Straight down to business, and to absolutely no shock Tommy uses the Veto on Christie. As it was used on Christie, there will be no replacement nominee.

Chalk this twist down as another failure, they should have said the third nominee could not have the Veto used on them. But them is the breaks, and we have a smug Tommy and Christie heading into the next week. Lucky us, I don't think.

It does seem likely we will lose the ever so adorable Kat, as Tommy has named her as his main target. Hopefully she can start the ball rolling to get some people onside for a possible vote flip, we'll have to wait and see. Good luck to her, would rather her stay in the house.

Big Brother USA 2019 - Episode 21 - Field Trip and Nominations

It's finally arrived, it's time to take 3 houseguests of America's choosing and place them into the Field Trip twist where the winner gets immunity, 2nd gets a punishment and last place gets the third spot on this week's chopping block.

But first, the tale so far.....

The Shit Shooters absolutely imploded. Jessica won HoH, and put Jack and Jackson on the chopping block. But it wasn't to be the nasties week as Jessica also won the Veto, giving her all the power for the week and also cancelling out Christie's secret power.

Jack was evicted to no great surprise, and it was to be a great celebration as we potentially started chipping away at the nasties in the house. Then along came party pooper Tommy, fastest in the new HoH competition and thereby winning power back to the nasties.

But never fear with this Field Trip, anything could and probably will happen....Stay tuned as we head into Episode 21 where we find out just who is going on the field trip aka the backyard competition, and who will Tommy nominate for eviction pre-Veto

We kick off this week's festivities with Christie, Tommy and 'done nothing' Analyse celebrating. Christie is claiming all credit saying its just the same as her winning, she just wanted the Universe to reward loyalty.

Cliff is with Nicole and Jess, and he thinking he and Jackson will go up and is hopeful of getting the girls votes. This coming from the guy who could have made this move weeks ago and he blew it. He's not winning this season, but then again I thought he wouldn't even make it to jury. So what do I know?

Kat thinks Tommy winning was her worst case scenario considering he tried to flip the house against her.

The last showmance standing continues in Jackson and Holly, and he is wondering where Analyse will sleep now Jack is gone. Meanwhile, Holly is thinking who Tommy will nominate. Jackson thinks it won't be him as he could win Veto. Holly says she has been trying to mend fences, while Jackson says he has too, but not with Christie.

Tommy is still clinging on for a Shit Shooters reunion. He assures Jackson that he will not target the former members, and Jackson tells Tommy that he needs to play what's the best game for him. Jackson obviously doesn't want to get the band back together so to speak, so has to pretend to agree for now while Tommy's in power.

Christie is very happy she won't be targeted this week given her close association with Tommy, as in she knows him from outside as she used to date his aunt. Tommy is already thinking about nominating Kat and Cliff, to which Christie agrees. He tells Christie that the Shit Shooters must be seen with still having dissension in the ranks, in order to weaken the outsiders. He wants to make sure Kat goes to jury, as he feels she is a strong player and if it comes down to it will replace Cliff with Nicole to make sure Kat leaves.

Staying with Tommy, he assures Cliff that he will go up as a pawn, and makes promises that Cliff is not the target.

In a conversation with Jackson, Kat gets quite emotional and knows Tommy wants to get the band back together. She feels pretty low after a great week in terms of Jessica's HoH.

She admits to Tommy that she knows she is going on the block due to the potential flip from last week, and then tells us she would target Tommy straight away if she was HoH. She tells Tommy, if there's anything she can do to avoid going on the block, and Tommy says he is keeping quiet for now. Word has been linked via the grapevine that the band are getting back together, claims Kat, to which Tommy denies. Kat gets upset with Tommy at this point calling him a terrible liar and told her many lies to her face. Tommy claims that Kat is playing both sides of the house, and is a threat.

Field Trip

Reminder: Winner gets immunity, 2nd gets a punishment, and last place goes on the block as the third nomination

And the three taking part will be, drumroll maestro if you please, JACKSON, ANALYSE and CHRISTIE

Perhaps the 3 most expected, as they are the most disliked since Jack packed his bags and went to the jury house. As HoH, Tommy was ineligible to be picked.

Christie is not happy to be picked, and says she would have picked people she didn't like. Why do you think you were picked, stupid?

Holly tells Jackson Christie is needed as the third nominee. Jackson is excited at the thought of this as she gets evicted and there is no blood on his hands.

Tommy's at a loss to know what to do, and just tells Analyse to sit tight and see how this week goes. She seriously suggests throwing it, so they can keep Christie safe. Tommy wisely tells her not to throw it.

I often wonder what is the point of Analyse in there, is she actually taking this game seriously or is she just in there to be famous for 15 minutes?

Anyways, in comes Christie knowing if she's on the block, Jackson and Holly will vote her out. She then says she will not be sitting on the block during Tommy's HoH. If only the others knew of her outside connection, she wouldn't last 5 minutes in there. Analyse still going on about throwing the competition. Christie by this time is having another of her paranoia attacks.

Field Trip competition

Cluck Cluck Island, and it's the tried and tested maneuver the egg to the other side of the coup competition. Basically the three players are in separate chicken coups and have get their eggs to their respective little ramps on the right of the coup, keep the egg on the ramp and roll it down to knock down the letters S A F E

Lots of cracked eggs ensue before Jackson emerges victorious and gains immunity, now it's down to Analyse and Christie, and Analyse STILL wants to throw the competition. Jackson whispers to Analyse to shake the egg to give herself a better chance. The advice pays off as Analyse is second to finish and will get the punishment. That will be revealed in due course. Of course that means Christie is the third nominee. Yippee!!!!!!! Not so cocky now is she

And right on cue Christie is crying her eyes out, saying this week should have been a breeze. Oh she didn't see that in the stars did she, tsk tsk. Kat thinks all her Christmases have come at once, but I would say steady girl, the Veto still has to be played yet and anything could happen there.

Analyse is confused to why America hates her, and I have two words for that. Shit Shooters. If Tommy hadn't won HoH, you wouldn't have even been in that competition. Jackson is obviously happy with the outcome, gloating about his immunity and his nemesis being the third nominee.

Cliff is delighted with this outcome, as long as Christie stays on the block he thinks the votes will be there to get rid of her.

Analyse apologises for her performance in the competition, as she claims everyone was watching and Christie just wasn't knocking anything down. Christie continues on her voyage to freak out city, saying she's scared and upset. At this point, middle man Nick who claims is he is playing both sides tells Christie if he wins the Veto, she is coming off. He then says he wants to work with what is left of the Shit Shooters as they are the better side. Yeah right, stab them in the back first chance he gets would be more appropriate.

Analyse is called to the Diary Room for her punishment, and she must wear a chicken suit until further notice. The other adorable in the house, aka Nicole, says she has a fear of birds.

Kat and Tommy now having a conversation about Christie. Kat tells him that she loves Christie and will not vote her out, and then tells us she is telling Tommy what he wants to hear.to keep her safe. Tommy says this week is about building relationships he can work with, and ponders his next move in regards to nominations. Does he change his plans now Christie is on the block? We are about to find out

Nomination ceremony

Reminder, Jackson is immune and Christie is already on the block as the third nominee.

CLIFF and KAT are nominated by Tommy as he feels that both have good working relationships in the house, and tells them to win Veto to make his job harder.

Cliff and Kat are determined to win Veto, just to make sure Christie is still on the block on eviction night. Kat and Christie are both crying. Meanwhile, Jackson couldn't be happier to see Christie on the block, and would love to see her gone on eviction night...

To be continued in Episode 22, when the Veto is once again up for grabs and will it be used to save one of the three nominees. All these questions and more in the next post very soon.

Thanks for reading if you have come in, and thanks to anyone who has liked, RT'd, shared or commented. It is very much appreciated

Big Brother USA 2019 - Episode 20 - Eviction and HoH

Time for the party of the series so far, when we say goodbye to either Jack or Jackson. Unfortunately one or both WILL be on this year's jury, and it's a shame we can't say goodbye to both of them in this episode

Story so far in this glorious week is that Jessica won HoH AND Veto, thereby causing Christie's secret power to expire and she has also kept Jack and Jackson on the block as she didn't use Veto.

Tonight sees the culmination of Jessica's HoH, well all good things have to come to an end eventually don't they. Hopefully the outsiders can continue the momentum after this episode, but even if they don't then there's still the Field Trip twist to look forward to as it seems pretty much set in stone to who will be participating in this twist.

Reminder about the Field Trip, 1st place is immune from nomination and replacement nomination, 2nd gets a punishment, and last place automatically goes on the block as the third nominee.

To house action, and the Shit Shooters or what is left of them are not seeing eye to eye, as in Jackson doesn't want Tommy, Christie or Analyse's votes as they don't exist. Jack reminds us of the remaining punishments from the Veto competition.

First to Jackson's punishment which is call Area 21 doctor, and he has to perform an alien autopsy. Not a real alien of course, but this alien is filled with all kinds of goo which inevitably goes all over Jackson. Sweet justice I would say after he avoided that gunging in the first week as he was Camp Director back then.

He has to do this several times, and several times he gets covered in slime

As for Jack's punishment, special effects at work as an alien beams in which basically follows him everywhere, including watching Jack cleaning the toilet, Diary Room, HoH room. The alien then starts tipping food and drink everywhere. The alien also spills some macaroni on the floor, to which he makes Jack count.

Now it turns to torture for Jack, as the alien now starts getting in his ear and pouring stuff on his head. Jack is getting a bit tetchy about this, and in comes the alien to the Diary Room. Even in the early hours he is there with Jack, and hurls some insults in Jack's direction before finally beaming out.

Holly, Analyse and Tommy are in the Have Not room, and they are joined shortly by Jack and Christie. Tommy wants to make a deal for them all to come together against everyone else, instead of being at loggerheads.

Jessica is with Jackson, and she wonders when he will start campaigning, and Jackson says he won't campaign against Jack due to a handshake deal. Music to Tommy's ears as he summons Jackson so they can all make up. Christie says it sucks they are all going. Memo, Christie, it's only Jack or Jackson. Your turn will come eventually with any luck. Jackson is a bit reluctant to make up with everyone, saying when they all watch this season back they should have given him the benefit of the doubt.

Jack insincerely apologises for breaking Jackson's trust, and Jackson tells him he betrayed someone who would have died for him in the game. Christie then pipes up saying she wishes Jackson would have told them the Shit Shooters were over before the big argument. Jackson doesn't take too kindly to this, and tells Christie not to put words in his mouth.

Another paranoia attack from Christie when she thinks Jackson has taken her words and thrown them back in her face. Jackson says this has been Christie's game from the start and he's not playing anymore.

Jack is pitching to Nick about if he gets the votes Nick would be the fifth vote, as he already has Analyse, Tommy and Christie and needs two more. Jack has ruled out Kat as he accused her of being in a trio with Jackson and Holly, and doesn't talk game with Nicole. Thoughts then turn to Cliff, and how he likes to make deals and pitches the bizarre move of 4 eviction immunities. Cliff is allowed to put him, but Jack doesn't put Cliff up. Cliff wants to mull it over, but what is there to think about? Jack is not even guaranteed to survive this vote let alone the next few votes.

Eviction vote

Pretty early in the show, so I would assume we are going to get the HoH competition live

Pretty insincere speech from Jack, and lots of shout outs in Jackson's final speech

Holly votes to evict Jack
Analyse votes to evict Jackson
Christie votes to evict Jackson
Nicole votes to evict Jack
Cliff votes to evict Jack
Nick votes to evict Jack
Tommy votes to evict Jack
Kat votes to evict Jack

By a vote of 6-2, JACK is evicted. Break out the poppers and champagne, Aquaman is finally sunk and becomes the first member of this year's jury

As I found out on social media, the USA audience are not allowed to boo or they would be ejected. So unfortunately he didn't get the boos he deserved.

In his interview with Julie, he says he put his trust in the wrong people and should have trusted Jackson instead of Tommy and Christie. He then says he doesn't like to live with regrets, Jackson was his bromance and knew there were numbers being with Christie and Tommy.

And now we move onto what has been one of the most talked subjects, and that being the way Jack conducted himself with some of the houseguests. He claimed Kemi said some bad stuff about Jackson, and Julie counters with that Jack said some REALLY bad things about Kemi. We are finally shown the footage where Jack threatened to 'stomp a mudhole in Kemi', and also called her dog poop and a b*tch. Jack explains he picked up the mudhole comment from adorable Sam from last year. Feeble excuse, pal. He claims to apologise for what he said, and says Kemi is a great person. Doubt he means that.

Talk then moves on to the rice pudding comment regarding Bella, as Bella is Asian. We are then shown said comment. Julie then asks Jack explain the connotations. Jack explains that they were all making puddings that day, and had nothing to do with Bella's ethnicity.

As far as what he will take away from this experience. Jack says it's like nothing you will do in life. He then says he needs some alone time, and Julie says he will get plenty of that in the jury house.

HoH competition

This competition is called 'Time Me a River'. Basically they have to float to the end of the slope. The person closest to 9 seconds will be the next HoH. Over or under doesn't matter, it's just who is closest. Simple as that. As outgoing HoH, Jessica is not eligible to compete

Cliff - 9.70
Christie - 9.19
Tommy - 8.90
Nicole - 10.20
Jackson - 9.39
Kat - 11.29
Analyse - 9.14
Holly - 10.07
Nick - 9.82

Sadly, Tommy is the new HoH. But we still have the Field Trip to come, so Tommy is ruled out of the Field Trip. Shame, but there's still plenty of choices from the nasties to put in this twist. Find out who Tommy nominates in Episode 21, and also who the 3 field trippers are.

Not all hope is lost just yet, and let's see how these next few episodes go in terms of the Field Trip and Veto

Anyways, in case you missed it BB on Blast have dropped a new pod right here and along with the latest episodes from this season, they also cover the first part of the late former UK housemate Jade Goody's documentary.

Big Brother USA 2019 - Episode 19 - Power of Veto

A so far glorious week, citizens, with Jessica winning HoH and putting Aquaman and Trapjaw Jackson on the chopping block pre-Veto

The clock is ticking for Christie as this week is the last chance she can use her power, as in whoever wins the Veto Christie can give them the power to pick the replacement nominee. But she won't use it on the outsiders, only on her rapidly crumbling alliance pals.

Said alliance pals however are now looking for better options in moving further on in the game, but they know deep down they HAVE to win the Veto, as if an outsider wins it the Veto won't be used and Christie's power officially expires and Aquaman or Trapjaw are guaranteed to head to jury first.

Can Jessica succeed where Cliff monumentally bungled it, let us all find out

We pick up the action after the noms ceremony, and Jessica says she will put the final nail in Shit Shooters. To be fair Jessica, they have already done that themselves, but this will put the cherry on a very big cake. Meanwhile, Trapjaw and Aquaman are not talking anymore, and Trapjaw says he himself has to survive

Christie tells us it sucks Aquaman is on the block. Baby throwing her toys out of the pram I would say, as things stand her power is worthless. Aquaman is pretty confident Trapjaw will be out, and Analyse feels bad for Trapjaw as nobody is talking to him. That is so unfortunate, said no-one ever.

Trapjaw and Holly continue their showmance, if you can call it that. She would be well advised to kick him into touch, she can do a lot better than him. She wants to smooth things over with people, as her knowing Kat should never have come out and has to work hard to get the targets off their backs.

Aquaman is telling his remaining buddies he is going to win the Veto, and asks if anyone wants to be his houseguests choice should he draw it. Nick and Christie immediately volunteer. Tommy and Christie advise Aquaman not to be arrogant. This coming from the pair who are definitely connected, even though nobody knows it.

Off to Jessica and the outsiders, and she says she wants nominations to remain as they are. So do most of the viewers, just hope she doesn't do something stupid and waste all of the hard work she's done already. Nick then asks Jessica who she wants out, and she seems stuck on Aquaman. Nick doesn't know where he stands in the house, well he has been pretty much the inbetweener since his storyline in Bella went out the door.

Veto picks

Aquaman, Trapjaw and Jessica play automatically and joining them will be Kat, Tommy and Nick via random draw

Christie is making no secret of her dislike of Trapjaw and she is paranoid that him, Kat and Holly know each other. If she gets voted for the field trip twist, her paranoia is going to go through the roof and it will be a pleasure to see. She says Trapjaw wants her out, and her priority is getting him out and Aquaman safe. If we had our way out here, both of them would be out on their ear. She is hellbent on using her power should Aquaman win Veto and risk a pawn of Aquaman's choice going on the block.

Back to the showmance, and Trapjaw is certain Christie will use her power if Tommy or Aquaman win and he ends up going to jury. So he says he has to win to avoid any scenario that sees him go home.

Veto competition

Area 21 is the name of the game. Rules are that each competitor will board the spinning spaceship in turn, and after going for a spin will fire their rocket onto the game board in front of them. Whatever number it lands on will be their score. Lowest score in each round will eliminate that player, however everybody will get a prize, some good and some not so good. The houseguest eliminated in each round can swap their prize with someone else, and the overall winner can choose any prize.

Some of the punishments will be explained in due course

Eliminations and prizes:

1. Kat and she has the Veto for now
2. Aquaman and a trip to Hawaii

He swaps it for the Veto

3. Tommy and an Angry Alien

He swaps with Jack and now has the Veto

4. Trapjaw and BB Explorer

He swaps with Tommy and now has the Veto

5. Nick and he gets $5,000

He decides to hold on to the money, while Jessica as the winner gets Area 21 alien doctor

Naturally she swaps it for the Veto, and Trapjaw now has the alien doctor punishment

Jessica has all the power, woohoo!!!!!!! Even better, Christie's power is now officially expired. Not going well this week for the nasties of the house and boy, did we need this to happen with a steam roll being threatened.

Christie is now telling us Aquaman doesn't deserve to go, is she serious? Did we hear that correctly? The house is the last place he should be, and I am intrigued to see what kind of a reception Aquaman will get when he gets out of there. Jessica, meanwhile, is so happy and who can blame her. A lot of people were writing her off for many weeks calling her stupid, and look at her now. All the power and on the verge of something Cliff should have done weeks ago before he bungled his HoH.

Christie is hellbent on Trapjaw going, and tries to plant seeds with Jessica that Aquaman should stay. Jessica is not one for changing though, as she more or less tells us that Aquaman is out of there no matter what.

Christie's desperation to keep Aquaman in the house keeps growing as she pitches to Jack, Nick and Tommy about evicting Trapjaw. Blissfully unaware the man of the moment has been listening in and he says will talk to Jessica, and try and stir the pot to stay.

He then proceeds to tell Jessica about the others plan to try and lean towards voting him out, and then Nick's name pops up which prompts Jessica to work out Nick is playing both sides and that she won't hesitate to make a boss move should the situation demand it.

Tommy's punishment

After being summoned to the Diary Room, he comes back out dressed like a rocket as he got the BB explorer punishment. When he gets a signal from Big Brother, he must either travel at the speed of light, sound or smell. The missions will be called at random. What these three entail will be explained as and when they happen.

Veto ceremony

And straight away Tommy gets a mission to travel at the speed of smell. He runs round the table in the living area a few times, with a foul stench emitting from his costume. Kat in her infinite wisdom sprays some air freshener around while Tommy is doing his few laps.

Back to business, and Jessica has decided NOT to use the Veto. So it will Aquaman or Trapjaw heading to jury first, and also Christie's power is officially null and void as she cannot use it.

Jessica ia very certain Aquaman will go, while Christie says she won't let him go without a fight. Give it a rest, Christie, his game is over. Get over it and get on with your own game.

In a laughable closing segment, Aquaman says he's been a decent guy and he's tried to be loyal and trustworthy. Trapjaw says he's going to do everything he can to stay because Jack has more enemies than he does. You obviously don't know what's waiting out here for you and Aquaman, pal.

And that is that for another episode, as we move towards finding out who will be the first into the jury for this year.

Episode 20 is a mere stone's throw away, and it's going to be a pleasure to be waving goodbye to one of these two scumbags who should have gone long ago. Hopefully it will then be Christie, Tommy and Trapjaw for the field trip

Just reiterate for that, 1st place gets immunity, 2nd gets a punishment, 3rd goes on the block as the third nominee.

Hopefully the public will get it right and we will be rid of another one of the nasties, and I personally don't mind which one. In any case like I said earlier it will be fun watching Christie getting even more paranoid.

Anyways, in case you missed it, BB on Blast have dropped a new pod for your listening pleasure, where they discuss the recently aired first of three episodes about the late UK housemate Jade Goody, and also catch up with this series as well

Listen right here, and also episode 7 of Julie Girl right here

And not forgetting Rob has a Podcast, which has all this season's stuff including episode analysis, live feed updates, roundtables....The list is endless. Link in the column to the right

So, finished this just in time so I can join the Aquaman eviction party on Twitter very soon barring a very late flip, and be waving his nasty rear end out of the door.

Big Brother USA 2019 - Episode 18 - HoH and Nominations

That was the week that was. First Holly wins HoH, and in essence Trapjaw Jackson as well, and she nominates Nick and Sam.

Nick won Power of Veto, and used it on himself. Holly then had to name a replacement which turned out to be Kat. Little did anyone know this would cause those cracks in Shit Shooters to become gaping big holes that completely tore them apart. More on that soon, as let's just say the fallout is quite spectacular as we will find out in this particular episode

And what makes it even sweeter is all the planning for the flip was for nothing.

The end of Shit Shooters is near, and very soon there will be a new Head of Household. Can someone from Shit Shooters win, or will the outsiders shift the balance of power within the house. Let us all find out.

So, Kat survived and naturally is very happy. Personally she's not the only one, and now she's guaranteed jury. Don't think she will win the whole thing but it's going to be fun watching her lighting up the house with her unintentional comedy.

And now one of the moments in this episode which has been promoted so heavily, in the Shit Shooters fallout.

It all starts off with Trapjaw telling Aquaman that he's certain Tommy and Christie are going to turn on them, and then says Holly and Kat know each other from the outside. If only he knew about Tommy and Christie.....

Aquaman then tells us that Trapjaw is saying don't trust Tommy and Christie, but he actually trusts them more than Trapjaw. He then reports to Tommy with what Trapjaw told him, including Holly and Kat knowing each other, to which Tommy claims he knew it.....Sure you did, Tommy. Seen this so many times on UK Big Brother when housemates claim to have rumbled a twist when they really haven't.

Tommy claims he was suspicious when Kat told him about a concert, and we are shown a flashback to that particular moment. He then puts two and two together, and decides he must take it upon himself to try and get a flipped vote to get Kat out.

Now, enter Christie into the room with Jack and Tommy, and they fill her in, their version of events, on Trapjaw trying to get them not to trust Aquaman and then flipping the vote. Aquaman then suggests reeling in Nick and Sam so as to further their game. Tommy has now moved onto Analyse, pitching the plan to flip the vote and Aquaman and Christie are doing the same with Nick and Nicole.

Pretty premature of Aquaman to be saying goodbye to Kat, he seems pretty confident Kat will go. But as we know, that won't be the case and I have to say it's quite fun watching all this planning knowing how the vote is going to go eventually.

Analayse, though, is somewhat reluctant to be in on this plan. Shit Shooters falling apart at the seams, and it's wonderful. Little do they know Holly has got her ear to the door, and she promptly runs off to tell Trapjaw. He promptly storms up to the room.

To say it was really awkward at this point would be a MASSIVE understatement, and Tommy confirms to Trapjaw there is a flip planned. Holly is strongly opposed to this saying there would be no benefit to that. Who needs someone to take the shot when all these clashing egos would turn on each other anyway.

Trapjaw and Aquaman don't seem to be getting along, as Aquaman basically tells Trapjaw to mind his own business when Trapjaw asks about the flip. Aquaman says there is no reason to flip. Next up is Holly telling Tommy she heard him talking, and Tommy says he is scared of the way Trapjaw is acting. Holly then fuels the fire by saying let's have a blowup if we are going to have one. Seconds out, ding ding....

Holly says Kat is for sure on Shit Shooters side. Tommy then blurts out that Trapjaw told Aquaman about Holly and Kat knowing each other. Needless to say, Holly is not happy with this.

Holly now saying she doesn't feel respected as an alliance member, and also that she's been left out of her own HoH. The same HoH she has let Trapjaw run for her?

Aquaman relays to Trapjaw about Holly feeling left out of the loop. And here we go, Christie gets in Trapjaw's face asking him what his problem is with her, and then claims he has been making suggestions that he wants her out and that she is the enemy. Well you are, Christie. She thinks the Shit Shooters may be over after this meeting. Trapjaw in his usual charming manner then tells her, are we going to have a discussion or are you going to yell at me.

Outside the door, everyone else can hear what's going on and they are obviously enjoying it, as are we all. Suddenly this game doesn't look like it's going to be a steam roll after all.

Cliff told us give them enough time and they would break up, and look what's happening now. This coming from the guy who completely f'd up his HoH. Seems I was wrong in thinking he would not make it to jury, but he has. Just a matter of WHEN not IF.

Christie brings up the point about Kat and Holly being at a concert together, to which Holly denies knowing Kat. Christie then queries why Trapjaw would cast a rogue vote without telling them, and he replies with to keep their rear ends off the block. Christie is really getting paranoid now, and I dread to think what she would be like if she was voted on to the field trip twist or found herself on the block. Think her head would explode with all the pent up paranoia.

Tommy is trying to defuse the situation, and just before he storms out tells Christie who it is who makes her coffee in the morning when she's mad. Speaking of Tommy, he's still certain there is a trio in there who know each other. Holly asks Kat straight out if they went to Stagecoach together, to which Kat denies. Aquaman is not buying it, as he still accuses Holly and Kat of lying. Christie then says Trapjaw can't be trusted and he's a snake. Pot kettle black, Christie. Christie then storms out of the conversation, claiming she doesn't know who to trust.

We then see the elusive Jessica, who thinks its pretty disheartening not to be included in many house conversations. She feels pretty close to Kat, and feels there is no way to save her. Little does she know what's happening with the vote. I assure you, Jessica, don't worry.

Now Trapjaw is saying he can't trust Aquaman. The feeling is more than mutual, pal. Christie is trying her best to convince Tommy not to get rid of Kat. Now Tommy is calling Kat a mole who moled her way into the alliance. Five of the Shit Shooters are trying to iron things out, Trapjaw is saying how he had Kat in his back pocket, and interrupts Tommy in mid sentence saying he volunteered to go on the block for them. He claims he told Aquaman on day 2 that he thought Holly and Kat knew each other. Aquaman chimes in with the way Trapjaw told him, he only found out today. Trapjaw and Aquaman keep going back and forth, until eventually Trapjaw walks out.

Christie now pitches to Aquaman about keeping Kat in, saying she didn't think Kat and Holly were friends, only that they knew each other. Jack and Christie hug it out. As of now Shit Shooters are dead, or so Aquaman tells us.

Everyone clear now? Good. Let's move on to the.....

HoH competition

In case you missed it, it's a True or False competition. Houseguests have to look around the Expo set in front of them and memorise quite a lot and will answer True or False questions on said Expo. Straight elimination and whoever is last houseguest standing will be the new HoH.

Julie will not be asking the questions, and that duty falls on outgoing HoH, Holly as she won't be playing as she is outgoing HoH, so therefore not allowed to compete.

Order of elimination

1. Trapjaw
2. Cliff and Analyse
3. Nick and Tommy
4. Christie
5. Aquaman

So it's an outsider guaranteed for HoH......

6. Nicole
7. Kat

Staggeringly and astonishingly, Jessica is the new HoH

Tommy shouts about a plot twist with Jessica winning, and that he doesn't know where Jessica's head is at and hopes it is not him.

Understandable celebrations from the outsiders, and the final nails going into the Shit Shooters coffin as Christie walks out on them, followed by Analyse.

Holly says she will continue working with Kat, but doing that brings in Trapjaw. Why not just kick him into touch, I know I would at this point. He's done nothing but control Holly, and she deserves a lot better than having him hang off her.

Jessica is feeling very empowered, and she's going to enjoy watching the enemy scatter like cockroaches. Go get them, girl. No more than they deserve for the way they have treated everyone else in the house.

Nominations ceremony

And just when the now defunct Shit Shooters week can't get any worse, Trapjaw and Aquaman are nominated by Jessica.

While Trapjaw wants to fight for his place, Aquaman cries us a river. Wash those gallons of tears away, pal. You have brought this on yourself, and we are all looking forward out here to wave you or Trapjaw off to jury should you still be on the block after Veto.

To be continued in Episode 19, when we see who will win the Veto. One of the outsiders to win, please, to continue the week of misery for the scumbags. They should know what it's like to be on the receiving end.....

Big Brother USA 2019 - Episode 17 - Eviction

The last week before we start seeing the jury form is nearly at an end, and in case you missed it Holly is the outgoing HoH, and facing the chop will be Sam or Kat.

Kat volunteered to be the pawn to take out Sam, but a few developments before this episode on the live feeds seem to make it less cut and dry that Sam will actually go.

After a much controversial Veto competition, not in terms of the result of course, but the insertion of live sheep which were obviously distressed with the Veto players charging and grabbing at them, Nick won Veto and used it on himself. Leading to Kat volunteering to be the pawn, probably not a wise move on her part as sometimes it does backfire.

And let's not forget, one more week for Christie to use her power as in giving the Veto holder the power to pick the replacement nominee

On with the show, and Julie does go hell for leather promoting previously mentioned coverage of a possible flip which could save Sam at the last minute. Will admit I am genuinely nervous, as Kat needs to stay. Sorry to sound like a broken record, but she is such a breath of fresh air in this toxic house. Not to mention really funny, albeit unintentionally.

Shortly after the Veto ceremony has concluded, Nick feels sorry for Sam and Holly claims that Nick and Sam's friendship has been detrimental. Kat is feeling pretty pleased about volunteering about being the pawn, while Sam says he's not dead yet and doesn't have much ammo on Kat.

Analyse claims Sam makes her laugh, which Sam picks up on a vote to stay but knows she is not really pulling the strings in the alliance. A pang of guilt from Analyse follows, saying she knows Shit Shooters want Sam out, but can't find a way to save him.

Finally the poison ivy punishment for Tommy and Christie comes to an end, and in his usual style Tommy goes straight into overacting mode to celebrate.

Kat and Holly convene in the HoH room, with Kat claiming she could plant seeds within the alliance to break them up. Kat says Christie and Tommy don't want a final 6 with couples, and are already planning their next move. Holly claims suspicions about Christie, so will keep eyes on her.

Analyse now with Holly, and they are discussing Christie. Looks like further fractures in Shit Shooters. They claim Christie has loose lips, and then discussion turns to the manipulation with Cliff. The words control freak are more or less bandied around, and Holly claims Christie makes decisions for everyone else with talking to them.

Speaking of Christie, she is talking with Cliff about how he is doing. Cliff says there are four powerful people in there, and that Christie and Tommy have to start winning stuff, and that he himself can start proving himself. The same guy who completely bungled his own HoH.

He goes on to say that he also been planting seeds, in the slim hope he can take the credit for breaking up the couples. Christie claims she and Tommy will be picked off first if it came down to couples. She says she needs to start building an army, because war is about to begin.

Holly and Trapjaw Jackson discuss Christie, and her reluctance to go to final six with couples, and Trapjaw puts two and two together saying it would explain why Tommy and Christie would be so close. Holly says Christie is cold, and is afraid she's doing Christie's handiwork. Trapjaw then says he has been hearing things about Christie, and if he wins HoH he will work towards taking Christie out.

Going for broke, Sam makes an immediate play to start breaking up with the couples. He tells Trapjaw that Christie was on board with Cliff taking the shot at Trapjaw or Aquaman. Trapjaw says he and his squeeze, Holly, have been suspicious of Christie for a while, and Sam is confirming the doubts he's been having. Sam makes a last ditch effort to appeal to stay in, and would work with Trapjaw and Holly. Additional if Jack is on board as well, Sam could well stay.

Shit Shooters, or what it seems to be left of them soon, continue their obsession with Nicole saying she should have gone up. Trapjaw relays the intel he got from Sam to Aquaman. Aquaman is stunned that Christie would take the shot. Baton down the hatches I say, Shit Shooters about to go down in flames or a few members lighter. Trapjaw says Christie would have someone else take the shot for her. Talk then turns to Sam, who Aquaman is keen on recruiting for the alliance and is also keen on jettisoning Christie.

Almost voting time, so Julie talks to the houseguests about various things, and then we get some pointless filler which is the flash mob dance from the live feeds. Won't go into too much detail about that, so let's move swiftly on to the eviction. Will admit at this point I am genuinely nervous, as Kat NEEDS to stay in there. As if I haven't stressed that enough already.....

Eviction

As per usual, the nominees can't vote

To cut a long story short, everyone who could vote voted out SAM, and it's a 9-0 vote to get rid of him so none of that drama, and am very pleased Kat has managed to stay.

Sam's interview

Julie talked about what happened in the house before this episode, and it was first Sam was out, then he wasn't, then he was, wasn't..... Sam admits he came clean about Christie telling him a load of BS, and asked her why she was withholding information if she wanted him out so badly. Sam then claims the credit for planting the seeds.

He then tells Julie that Kat may have cried more than he did..He says he missed his family so much, and when you are not around them in the house, you have to hold those feelings in. A glimmer of hope when Sam says Aquaman may go after Trapjaw if he wins HoH.

Off goes Sam, and now we finally get introduced to the next twist of the summer as in the Big Brother Field Trip. America will vote three of the houseguests to play in a competition. Winner gets immunity for the week, 2nd place gets a punishment, and 3rd place will be the 3rd person on the block with the two nominees. Can already feel some good vibes that some of Shit Shooters will get those three places. There is a but, in that this vote will NOT affect this week, but it will kick in the week after.

HoH competition

As outgoing HoH, Holly is not eligible to play in this one. Julie announces to them that from now whoever is evicted next will take the first seat in the jury house, signalling the start of the final straight to the end.

Camp Expo is the name of this game, and here is how it works. Memory comp and houseguests have to study various advertisements. There is a time limit to this studying, and then once time is up they will be asked a series of True or False questions based on what they have had to observe. The last houseguest standing will be the new HoH, and we leave them to their studies as the end credits roll.

To be continued in Episode 18, where we will find out who is the new HoH and who they will nominate

Big Brother USA 2019 - Episode 16 - Power of Veto

Another uncomfortable episode to write up tonight, this time it's not the houseguests but what the Veto competition is all about.

Honestly I am losing heart with this season, as it does look like it's going to be yet another one with a one alliance steam roll, with Nick and Sam who are now broken away from the rest on the block, and the situation is looking incredibly grim for the rest of the house

Just think it's not right how Trapjaw Jackson and Aquaman in particular have been allowed to be as racist, sexist and bigoted as they like, and also with Trapjaw cheating while being a Have Not.... It comes to something when even the fans are drawing up petitions to have one or both removed, or at least be pulled up with some of the stuff they are saying and doing.

Anyways, back to this episode and like I said, it was an uncomfortable Veto competition watching those poor real sheep being charged at and grabbed by the houseguests. More about that later.

We kick off where the nominations ceremony left off, and as expected Trapjaw has completely taken over Holly's HoH, telling her how proud he is of her. She says she is just doing as she is told by her alliance, or in this case by Trapjaw.

Sam and Nick are discussing who they would pick if the houseguest's choice token was drawn, to which they agree Jessica or Cliff. Sam thinks Cliff could be trusted. Yeah right, he couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery given how his HoH week went.

Nicole thinks there is a good chance one of them as in herself, Kat, Jessica or Cliff could go up should Nick or Sam.

Analyse is with Christie, Kat and Holly wondering who will be picked for Veto. Kat raises her hand and volunteers to go on the block. Kat tells us about the final 2 she has agreed with Holly, and wants them to think she's helping that side of the house. Holly says Kat is a genius, and Analyse is also down with this idea. Kat says this could either backfire or work really well and help her game.

Veto picks and competition

And now we get to the uncomfortable part. Holly, Nick and Sam play automatically.

Holly draws Tommy, Sam picks Cliff via the houseguests choice token, and Nick draws Jessica. Aquaman will host the competition.

Basically they will be rounding up sheep that have number jackets on them from 1-9. It will be tournament style, and two houseguests each will face off against each other in straight knockout as in rounding up the sheep who's numbers add up to the total on the screen, and the first to ring the corral bell will advance, while the other houseguest will be eliminated. Last houseguest will win HoH, and a reminder Christie does still have her Chaos power.

Nick v Jessica is the first match up, to which Nick goes through and Jessica is eliminated
Holly v Sam, Holly goes through and Sam is eliminated
Cliff v Tommy, Tommy goes through and Cliff is eliminated

Holly v Nick, Nick is through and Holly is eliminated

Tommy v Nick, Nick is the winner and therefore wins Veto. No indication from Christie about using her power, but there's plenty of time to go in this episode

Poor sheep, having those houseguests charging and grabbing at them. They must have been terrified, not a good idea to put real animals in there. I sincerely hope that is the only time we see live animals on the show.

Holly now saying she's conflicted on who to put up on the block, as Nick is sure to use the Veto on himself.

Christie says to Holly that these things were sent to try us, or words to that effect, and it's natures way of saying Sam is the bigger threat. Analyse says Kat is sketchy, and that she never talks game with anyone. This coming from someone who has practically been non existent in there. Holly then remembers that Kat has volunteered to be the pawn this week, but she is very tempted to put the equally adorable Nicole.

Back to the poison ivy business with Christie and Tommy, and now instead of red blotches, or makeup as it's more commonly known they completely covered with camomile lotion. To say they look stupid would be a massive understatement.

In a conversation between Sam and Holly, Sam says he feels like a dead man walking and wants Holly to put someone on the block who has baggage. He assures Holly he wouldn't go after her, and doesn't have a beef with her. Holly mentions Nicole, claiming she has played both side. No, the person who did that was evicted, or hadn't you noticed.

Sam likes this idea as he could campaign, and Nicole could go and he could work with Trapjaw and Holly. Holly says there are big threats that need to go and she has aligned with them. One of them has been running your HoH, a little something else you haven't noticed. However she doesn't want to take the shots, and if Nicole gets in power (highly unlikely that she ever will) she will take out an alliance member for sure.

Christie seems somewhat confused thinking how Nicole is seen as this big threat. Tommy tells her to do what's best for her game. Tommy then tells Analyse Holly is targetting Nicole, to which Christie thinks they are all being played. Is this girl paranoid or what, and it wouldn't be the first time either. Christie says if Holly and Trapjaw want to break away from Shit Shooters and make a little alliance, then that's perfectly fine

Analyse is wondering why Christie and Tommy are getting so paranoid. They are in an alliance of their own, stupid, or hasn't it dawned on you yet. She then reports to Trapjaw and Holly about her concerns, to which Trapjaw, in his ever so gentlemanly manner, says Christie can go and do one. Surprisingly Holly suddenly says nobody tells her what to do. Seriously? She's made a good job of it so far with her HoH. Trapjaw then storms off to Christie and Tommy, to 'clear the air' as he doesn't like people in his alliance linking him and Holly to Sam and Nick. HIS alliance? Did we just hear that correctly, since when did he become the big boss.

He tells Christie and Tommy, that he wants to make it clear that it's Holly's HoH, and not his and Holly's. Oh so that's why you've been telling her what to do since she's been HoH then. No self awareness at all, another crime on his Big Brother charge sheet.

Trouble in paradise maybe as Holly follows him in shortly afterwards, saying she told him not to confront them which causes Trapjaw to storm back out. Christie then finds out Analyse reported to the now not so happy couple, and will try and smooth things out with her

Speaking of said couple, back to the hammock they go. She brings up about her telling him not to confront Christie and Tommy, and he is such the charmer. Now telling her to stop barking at him like a dog, and she says Analyse is trying to put a wedge between them. If she is, she looks like she is succeeding at the moment, the way they are carrying on.

Staying with Holly, and she tells us she is re-thinking her nominations. Analyse, Nicole and Kat's names are dropped.

Veto ceremony

Nick decides to use the Veto on himself, to no great shock. Christie does not use her Panic power. As seen earlier Kat volunteered to go on the block as a pawn, and indeed Holly chooses her as the replacement nominee. Reason being that Kat does not talk much game and nobody knows where her head is at.

Holly says it's too early to take a shot at Shit Shooters, as Kat is a safe pawn. Sam reckons he is screwed unless he can plant some seeds to get the target off him and onto Kat.

To be continued in episode 17, when Kat or Sam will take the walk to Julie. Will be a pity if we lose Kat, she does provide the unintentional comedy in this house of horrors. Want her to get to at least to jury, at least then she can carry on being funny in the jury house. Absolutely rooting for Kat to stay in.

Reminder that Rob has a Podcast will be on the air shortly after the eviction episode, and you can catch up with any episodes missed on his site, and it is quite an extensive archive over there. Roundtables, live feed updates, episode discussion....The list is endless
