CBB UK Summer 2018 - Episode 3 - Prat falls and taxes

The customary warning before we get underway for strong language and sexual themes

Tonight sees President Kirstie honoured in her inauguration ball, and there will be other stuff happening as well, so without further ado lets get this show on the road

8.30am

The first full day is underway for the housemates, and on go the lights. Kirstie shows Ryan her secret cupboard stocked with air fresheners. Gabby is in the Diary Room, and she is unhappy about the sleeping conditions. What did she expect in this particular house, sleeping was never meant to be easy. There always one who is not happy with the noise.

Gabby: Trying to go sleep is a bloody nightmare. Everyone had had a few drinks, and everyone was being so loud and I was telling them to shut up. Hardeep, I know you are a comedian, but stop with the jokes. I sleep with earplugs anyway, so I couldn't really hear what was being said anyway, so it probably wasn't stand up galore. Dan's laugh comes from the belly, so it could make the whole room vibrate. I was, like, I'm going to kill you if you don't shut up, and then I said to him how much do you want to sleep if you're going to be tired tomorrow.

Kirstie tells the other housemates about the toilet etiquette, and she hangs a cloth, first on the door hand and then over the toilet sign which is the agreed signal of Vacant and Engaged. What happened to the simple process of knocking the door to see if someone is in there?

10.22am

Dan is in the Diary Room, collecting his first slop of the day. He says he is not going to enjoy it one bit, then he takes a sip which activates his gag reflex.

Meanwhile in the dining area, Sally is telling Ryan he will have another son soon. He asks her how she knows and she says she just knows it. Oh please. Nick says he is a skeptic, to which Sally is saying he is a scientist and he disagrees. Nick at this point is trying his best not to laugh and I don't blame him.

Natalie pipes up and asks her who is going to win this series, and Sally says a man is going to win it

11.32am

Dan is being encouraged to have a go with his slop meal. He takes a few sips and then makes a beeline towards the toilet, his gagging can be heard as the camera stays on the toilet door. I suspect that won't be the first gagging we hear this series, as there must be more of that slop to go around and it will be utilised in a future task.

Discussion now turns to American politics, and Natalie discusses the Flint water crisis with Kirstie, to which Kirstie says they must go in all guns blazing but has no idea what the solution is. Natalie says the pipes must be fixed and give water to all the people. Natalie then goes on a rant about how Trump is not addressing said water issue and is brushing it under the table. Sweeping it under the carpet is much more preferable. Information about said water crisis right here.

12.48pm

As part of the Presidential bill in the last episode, Ben was chosen to take cold showers until further notice. Today begins that process. Ben, as perhaps expected, is making a lot of ridiculous noises as the cold water rains down on him. He's probably going to get to the end as the 'lovable eejit'. But it's early days yet, so let's see as time goes on.

In the Diary Room, again as part of the Presidential bill, Rodrigo has been sent a parcel as he had to trade his suitcase with 'someone from another country', in this instance Paolo from Brazil. It is a Samba carnival outfit. Big Brother tells him he looks fabulous.

In the garden Rodrigo tells the housemates about his various surgeries, he says he was bullied a lot about his looks which steered him in the direction of all these surgeries.

4.07pm

Hardeep is making lunch, while Dan is testing more of his enforced slop and outright refuses to have any more as it is making him feel sick. Come on, Dan, man up. Ben is in the Diary Room, and Big Brother asks him how he is getting on with the other housemates

Ben: I feel like I'm getting on with everyone. I was lying in bed with a geezer (Hardeep) and I was thinking, wonder what his story is. We got to have a little chat about the bed hogging. He just chats chats chats and snores, and pulls at the bedclothes. I married a stranger and now I'm in bed with one. How do you like them apples.

Chloe asks Hardeep what his story is, and without getting into legal s**t of course, he alludes to the sexual harassment claim which got him into a big pile of poo at the BBC. Pointless fact he did work on the first ever Big Brother, thought I would throw that in.

4.43pm

Kirstie and Ryan are in the Diary Room

Big Brother: Tonight there will be a grand inauguration ball. Funding this ball does not come cheap, and your housemates will have to suffer because of this.

Back to the living area, and Kirstie and Ryan appear on the plasma telling the housemates about the ball and also they will have to pay taxes. Therefore they have to give up an item each, the more expensive the item the more money will go towards the ball.

If the tax reachs a pre-determined total then they will get to attend the ball, and Roxanne will get to sing Star Spangled Banner at the ball. Rodrigo is extempt from paying tax as he does not have his suitcase.

Chloe - Sunglasses (£1,000)
Nick - Wedding ring (£5,000)
Natalie - Toothpaste
Roxanne - Tampon
Jermaine - Shoes (£1,000)
Dan - Suit (£800)
Gabby - Shoes (£1,500)
Hardeep - Suit (£2,500)
Ben - Shoes (£1,000)
Sally - Jacket (£5,000)

Grand total - £17,802

Pre-determined total - £5,000

Well, there's a surprise they passed the PDT by a country mile and they WILL have a party ;)

8.11pm

Preparation is well underway for the ball/party, along with Roxanne preparing for her performance of Star Spangled Banner. As Timmy Mallett would say, it's fingers in your ears time.

In the bedroom Hardeep is complimenting Rodrigo no end, as everyone gets ready for the party. Meanwhile Kirstie tells Ryan her first acting gig was Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan. Possibly the best Star Trek film ever, with First Contact a close second. Just in my opinion of course.

10.53pm

Party time as Kirstie welcomes them in, and then Roxanne belts out Star Spangled Banner to a round of applause from the housemates. Nice touch as Born in the USA is played on the loudspeakers, one of my favourite songs.

12.11am

Time for Natalie's nightly monologue in the Diary Room. She says she is having some problems with Kirstie in regards to political status. She says she knows Kirstie is a Republican, but a storm is f'ing coming. Her words not mine. In the CBB house, the s**t is going to be f'ing lit and it's going down.

1.13am

The party draws to its close, and the boys are mucking about with the balloons. Rodrigo sits on one and it inevitably goes bang. Jermaine does a running jump on more balloons which more or less pop.

In the Diary Room, Nick tells Big Brother he thinks Hardeep is lovely, and is definitely his sort of humour, but he is starting to get a bit full on and some people are feeling a bit uncomfortable around him.

Meanwhile, Chloe, Hardeep and Roxanne have escorted President Kirstie back to her suite, and after saying goodnight Roxanne tumbles into the pool. Did she fall, fake a fall or was she nudged? You decide. Personally speaking, I think she made a right meal of that. Finding her a bit fake at the moment, but hopefully we will see the real her if she stays in there for a while.

1.28am

Sleeping arrangement are the topic of discussion in the bedroom, and there are some imaginary names being thrown around. Natalie and Gabby are talking about Hardeep, and they are worrying about Chloe in that Hardeep is being too clingy towards her. Natalie admits she is going to say what the people at home are thinking.

But just remember, all views expressed by Natalie are her own and don't necessarily reflect what us out here are thinking.

End credits.....

To be continued in Episode 4

Final thoughts

How much longer is Kirstie going to be the President, let's not drag it out too long as I would like to see some dynamics in there. Don't get we wrong, I am liking this President stuff but let's end it soon so we can get down to business. Have a feeling Natalie's big mouth is going to lead to trouble down the line, and looking at the coming up trailer it does look like Big Brother are going to try pushing her buttons. More about Episode 4 after it has aired of course, as I haven't even put the coming up preview on here out of courtesy for those waiting for the episode to air.

Thank you ladies and gentlemen for reading this post, a bit robotic around the edges I know but I do try my best :)
